Tried staying at this establishment in November of last year. Not the best experience I must say. The cottage itself was 2 stars at best. The location wasn't the worst but the customer service was beyond grief when we were faced with an issue. I'm speaking up now because I was told a manager would reach out but we never heard from one.
Positive note we had a lovely interaction with a female employee there. However the main issue was the fact that when we attempted to stay there and it rained, the electricity went out in our cabin. When we called the "maintenance" line we were offered a flashlight to "ease our problem" and then told it's best if we just went home. No sincerity or attempt to actually help. Yes I get that the weather isn't in your control but the person we spoke to was beyond rude. For a place that's actually pretty sweet the whole experience made us never want to come back.

I have stayed at Snug harbor for about 10 years in a row now. It’s been an annual 5-day fishing trip I do with my close friends in the month of October. We try to stay in the same cottage (used to be called Snuggle Inns) 40 and 41 every year. Never had any issues the previous 10 years we’ve stayed at Snug Harbor.
This year was different. I stayed in cottage 41 and noticed flies in the bedroom the first night. I killed all the flies in the room, but noticed they kept coming back. I looked around the bedroom for some food left behind or something, but didn’t find anything.
The 4th night of my stay, I was lying in bed around 5:30am and heard what sounded like little feet. I was thinking to myself, maybe it’s an animal walking outside or something. Around that same time a rat ran across my face. I jumped up and yelled for my friend who came into the room. We looked under the bed and noticed a hole under the box spring where this animal is living.
That day we were checking out and I let one of the grounds crew know what had happened. I sent an email to Snug Harbor the next morning and called in. When I called in, I tried to explain what had happened and the guy on the phone cut me off and said, I already got your email so you don’t need to elaborate on it. I asked for a refund on my stay at cottage 41 and he said, he has to submit the refund request, but if it was up to him, it would be a “big fat no”. I said, you had to have noticed the flies in the room every time you go in to clean it along with the animal feces. He said, we can’t control the rats or what they do. He said, you have to agree that this place is a lot cleaner than what it was when you stayed here in years past. He said, that they used to have rats on the counter tops and everywhere and that they have come a long way from that. He said, they had complaints of rats in the couches and the beds before. I told him, they need to get rid of that bed and box spring in cottage 41 and I wanted a refund of my stay in cottage 41. He said, would you take a 1-day refund. I said, I was sleeping with a rat for 4 nights and I wanted a refund for the whole stay as that’s disgusting. I told him, that I have a headache and the runs. He said, if you’re going there, I am not even going to submit your request for a refund and you can call a lawyer. It’s pretty easy for me to find out who owns Snug Harbor to send the complaint directly to them since it sounds like the front office guy isn’t going to move my complaint forward. This is also a concern for me. If the front office guy is blocking complaints from guests, what other complaints is he blocking from management?
This will 100% be the last time staying at Snuggle Inn.

Zero Stars if the rating would alllow...terrible service and accommodations. Will never stay here again.
When we check in the house smelled of old propane. Maintenance checked and informed us it been going on from months and they didnt know how to fix it. How come you would offer this house for renters knowing it had this problem? We attempted to stay but the smell was so bad and giving us headaches that we had to switch houses.
However, on the evening of July 4th at about 10PM the maintenance person thought it was a good idea to start a "controlled burn" of there wood pile. Who does a control burn on July 4th at 10PM and it was windy? Numerous calls to fire department by folks staying there and they finally arrived to take control of the situation. We find out from the fire department that it was not a control burn but rather fire works set the wood pile a blaze. The burn area was 25-50 yards from where my family staying and house was full of smoke that evening. Hard to have a good night sleep in a smokey house.
The staff held a meeting on the 5th @ 10am with numerous occupants to discuss appropriate consideration for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we had not received anything, so I called the following week to work with the GM Richard.
The GM Richard is not helpful and super arrogant. Took him 4 wks to conduct his "investigation" and was not willing to provide any consideration for the disruption on the evening of the 4th. We ask to speak with the regional manager, Amanda, he indicated she is not public facing.
Never stay here...

Not a good experience at all. The pictures are old like the cabins, nothing for children to do at all. A small store which the gentleman was so very nice, but other than that my family was not happy at all. I won't be back. It needs upgrades throughout, including the grounds. We'll try Thousand trails next!
Safety: No pools, so there isn't really a beach area as described.

Title: Horrible Experience - Stay Away!
I recently stayed at this cabin, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Firstly, getting to the cabin was a challenge in itself with all the potholes on the road. Upon arrival, we discovered that we had to pay extra for WiFi, which is just ridiculous.
The water had LEECHES in it, making it impossible to enjoy any time by the river. The kayak provided was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The service was atrocious, with the host being completely unresponsive and unhelpful.
To top it all off, we had a large, imposing man knock on our door, telling us how nothing was his fault regarding the many issues with this place. The water pressure was horrible, and when there was water, it was freezing cold. The room was dirty, with a disgusting grasshopper INSIDE THE SHEETS in the bed! There were spiders in every corner, and the bed was STAINED.
Lack of privacy was another major issue; it felt like anyone could just walk in at any moment. The host had no customer service skills whatsoever, and it felt like they were just trying to steal our money. We were treated horribly throughout our stay.
This place is a disaster, and I strongly advise everyone to stay far, far away. It’s not worth the money, the time, or the stress. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

We stayed there this weekend. The office closed earlier so we had an after hours check in. We were placed in a pull in sight but have a trailer so all hook ups were on the wrong side for us. The ground is covered in weeds and thorns. Not sure where the nice grass pictures are from besides the center sites. No one who checked in was given a bathroom code. By the end of the weekend, the bathrooms were terrible. No one was maintaining/restocking.
Maybe it was just an understaffed weekend but the sites around us still were not good.

I booked 5 campsites after speaking with Danny. I mentioned I wanted to check out the place before booking. He advised me to book as the dates we wanted were getting filled up
Quickly. He said our deposit is refundable as long as we cancel 30 days prior to the reservation. I went and checked out the camp ground and it is NOTHING like the website. I canceled all 5 of my reservations and was charged 35$ a site. I exclaimed my situation to Danny once again and he said it’s there policy. On my original receipt there is no mention of a cancelation fee. He is a crook and the place is a joke. Do not waste your time or money.

While the place is situated in a fairly quiet and secluded area, that charm is only so deep. We camped here in a tent. I wish someone would have said that this place caters specifically to the RV crowd. The bathroom and shower (singular) are okay at best. They are in serious need of repairs. The docks are in need of serious repairs as well. They are rotting away and there are slats popping up with nails exposed. The main office has a permanent smell of cigarette smoke, and the entire place gives you a vibe of a place to hide from law enforcement, not go camping.

My wife got us the room for my birthday because I was asked what would I like to do on my birthday I said, I want to go fishing . I was told that our room would be right on the water, if I opened the glass door the river would be right there. It wasn't like that, yes they do have some right on there and my wife was told supposedly that they were. I didn't get to fish that much because of the rain. If asked would I go back there? Heck yeah I just want to go fishing.. I give it a 5 star.

Kind of pricey but a nice place between a slough and the river in the Sacramento Delta. Cabins or camping. Some folks actually live here. Overall a nice place close to the East Bay or Sacramento to get away for the weekend.Nearby activities: Fishing, boat docks, dog park area.

What an amazing place to spend some time. . We’re on a tour schedule, so when we have a week off snug harbor is our favorite place to unwind. It’s beautiful, quiet, clean and safe. Danny and the other folks are really helpful and accommodating, and there are a variety of spaces depending on the size of your rig. 100% recommend.

Look, its not the Ritz-Carlton if that's what you're looking for. This is simply a great spot on the delta. It's quiet, it's secluded. You have to take a ferry to get there. I liked my stay very much.
