“I was in dire need to have a photo to be framed that I was submitting to a photography contest for the OC Fair. I only had 3 days to have it framed. I tried a few places in OC but they were unable to meet my needs. Thankfully, I found this place 15 minutes from home and Amy was very helpful. She answered all my questions and helped me meet all the requirements of framing for the contest. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come again to have future photos framed here. Thank you Amy!”

“Cute and well organized used bookstore. I appreciate that the proceeds go to a good cause and that it is well kept and organized. They had a variety of books and we even found a baby book we were already planning to get.”

“It's such a thrill to be attending photography classes in this nice Center! The ample space is further accented by an outdoor patio area with photo ops/art objects everywhere! I understand the night photo classes are every bit as stellar! (pun intended.)”

“My favorite little spot for a date night in the area. We came for the goth/new wave sort of night a while ago and we had so much fun. Can't wait to come back for their next night to dance and just chill. It's low key and the people there honestly don't seem to be judgey which is huge when you are sort of an awkward dancer lol They also have regular nights and the drink are at a good price.”

“I have had a painting once owned by my great grandmother that has been in the family for a long time but has seen better days. My wife and I were not sure to do with it, because it had become discolored/dirty over time and also had a tear. We could not put it on the wall, yet it was such a shame to keep it stored away. This is my first time having a painting restored, so I was not entirely sure what to expect. We spent a lot of time researching the best place to go and the best person likely to help address the issues of this artwork. Hammer Art Conservation gave us the best quote, as well as was the most informative, friendly, and easy to communicate with. When we brought the piece in for a quote we did not feel pressured to follow through with the treatment, and Joseph even wrapped the painting up in better materials (than our bubble wrap) so it would be safe as we transported it back home. When we were ready to do the treatment later that year, the same price was honored. They even give you a slight discount if you do not need your painting's restoration to be prioritized. Art conservation is actually very time consuming because they clean paintings inch by inch, and there is a lot of tedious minute work involved. So it took about 4 months to get our painting back, but we did not mind. The changes were astonishing! Just the cleaning alone breathed new life into the work. Aside from that a tear was mended, and small areas where paint were missing was filled in. They also put it on a new stretcher and made sure any other tiny cracks were stabilized so flaking and loss of paint would be less likely to occur in the future.Overall, this was an interesting process and we appreciated having the technical aspects explained to us. Art conservation can seem pricey but when you think about all the work involved, it is actually rather reasonable. Hammer Conservation gave us the best price we could find and we couldn't be happier. We now have this painting displayed in the living room and our other relatives who remember it from the distant past get a real kick out of seeing it on the wall again.”
