I was at Vons, in southern Walnut getting coins converted to cash with coinstar when the store warned us they may not be able to cover the $1,200 we already ran through their machine. Fortunately, they found some money to pay us. My sister called Stater Brothers in Walnut and spoke to a manager. She explained what had happened to us in Vons, and said we maybe had another $1,000 and could this Stater store cover us. The manager said he could. So when we finished at Vons, we came over to here.I've never been in a Stater store before. The place was well lit, bright, and the A/C was welcomed. Vons wasn't as well lit, and not quite as cool, but tolerable and we still like shopping at Vons. Anyways, we went to town on the coinstar machine. We only ended up with about another $300 after the $1200 or so at Vons. While we were pouring coins, an assistance manager came over to us and asked if we were the coin people that called. We said we were. She said fantastic. She was about to drop some money but decided to hang on a bit since she had hear from the other gentleman manager that some coin folks were coming. We finished our coins, hopped into that manager's line, and he gave us the cash. Much more simple and faster than when we did it at Vons.Very nice store, nice staff, would like to come shop here sometime when I am back in the area. Thank you.On a side note, my aunt's house was abandoned for 5 years. My aunt had Stater brother cans of food (veggies, fruits, etc) in her kitchen cabinets. Almost all of them split and leaked ruining the cabinets and dripping down the walls. I'd probably avoid buying Stater brother canned products and stick with name brand if you intend to buy canned goods for the long haul.

Everything it's just fine. The service is a bit bad tho. They need a bit of training talking to customers and maybe implement new methods of payment such as wireless transactions, e-gift cards, & online ordering maybe.

I live nearby but seldom come to this market. It is pretty clean but the deli area is confusing as far as price for the mozarella cheese balls and burrata cheese balls. I also think they can improve on ice cream selection. Plenty of parking at this location. I didn't like how some items needed digital coupons. It is a pain to have to download apps and extra steps just to save a dollar.

Dear Stater Brothers,Your grocery store chains are typically have mostly everything I need when it comes to food. Ive never seen the store messy or dirty and employees look well put together.Things you might want to work on:For the amount of money I spend which is typical 90+ I would have expected employees to greet me nicely. I don't come here as often because ppl like to shop in places where people smile and ambiance is nice and friendly. ALL the employees here look mad or sad. Idk if it is because they lack company moral or what have you but when managers or Corporations treat their employees nicely, statistically, they tend to work efficiently and with good attitude. So maybe that's what's lacking. Maybe give out a survey and see how much they like their manager, it's usually starts from the top.

I would like to give a big thank you to Christine in the deli department at the Walnut store. She was very patient and understanding when I went to place an order for my husband's celebration of life. She even called to verify the order after I gave her the wrong date. I will definitely work with her again.

Really its 3 1/2...I work nearby and only come to the grocery store when its a dire situation. Usually because I forgot my lunch at home, or was too lazy to pack it. Lets just say I'd almost rather get a root canal than grocery shop, so keep that in mind. Most times I shop in the deli, ready-made salad section, and produce. Its clean, organized and usually not too crowded when I am there- all pluses! But a few times I have encountered a less-than-friendly person working the deli counter. I used to love their edamame/quinoa ready made salad, but since I got one that was tasting less than fresh, I am grossed out by it. Also, please please stop putting pickles and dill in chicken salad. Its fine for tuna- in chicken its just disgusting. I made the mistake- 2nd time!!- of buying chicken salad and then first bite having to get rid of it. No bueno. The ready-made options- especially the sandwiches- I do not reccommend these. Thing is , if you are in a hurry, they take long to make a fresh one. The bread is so dry and the meat is too on the packaged ones- zero flavor. Not sure why because their deli meats are fine if purchased separately.Other than that, this is a well-stocked location, clean, organized and very nice cashiers. If chicken salad was changed to No Pickle its pretty flawless. That is all!

I really can't stand giving my own Stater Bros, Walnut a 2-star review earlier today. I was shopping at the Deli (cold cut meats section and hot wings)~so the first three orders from Honey Baked Ham to American Cheese were properly prepped and handed to me. I specifically requested half pound of 'Chicken Wings,' from the hot deli section, instead I received more drum sticks than wings today and we couldn't eat at least a couple pieces of those drum sticks because they were simply no longer fresh. I was disappointed in you today, Staters. Not sure what's happening here. I will need to be back for other groceries but will skip their hot wings from now and go to 'Wingstop,' for those cravings in the future, not here.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. I picked up my bags from the cart. And left the cart with the others inside in the front of the store. And the employee who was the one picking up the carts from the outside. Thank me for leaving my cart inside. Actually no other store has done that before. Not even sprouts. When lines gets long. Supervisors and managers start to open up other lines. I ordered chicken for work potluck. When I got the store. The deli was still cooking it. The deli had a lot of pre cooked chicken out. But because I ordered it. I was given the freshly cooked chicken. I was amazed.

I love coming to this Stater Bros. Parking is always easy. Staff is friendly, and often check-in with me to see if I need help. Item is well stocked. It is always clean and organized. Will continue to come back and support local business.

i enjoy always coming to stater bros for my weekly grocery shopping but today on July 23rd i went in around 6:30 am to buy roses and a birthday balloon. i saw that all the register were vacant. no cashier except for one. as i approached the cashier i saw she had a lot of paperwork on the table. I asked her kindly if she was the one cashiering just to verify since she had papers taking up her work area. She responded to me like a smart a*** I was ready to apply pay and I told her the screen wasn't changing to pay and she responded with an attitude " press cancel " She seemed upset the whole time and I definitely didn't like the vibe she was giving out. If she isn't a morning person maybe she should get her scheduled changed because she was the first person I encountered today and she completely ruined my morning. the customer should be greeted with kindness. Her name is NICHOLE (:

Rudest store ever. I was in line. The cashier decides she's done and instead of telling me, she literally puts up a sign that reads closed. Fine, your shift is over. Suggestions: tell me before you post your sign and leave or seek out a replacement to finish ringing up folks in line.

Now and then, hubby and I (and his parents) would come by to get a few items needed for meals. It's not too often, but I do appreciate Stater Bros having the basic needs, as well as various options depending on what you're looking for. It's fairly clean for a Stater Bros, and it has its own large parking lot, so parking is never an issue. We used to enjoy the bejeezus out of the deli area, especially the sandwiches and small salads (i.e., potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw) right before a trip out into the Lake Elsinore area. Good memories in just grabbing water, sodas, chips/pretzels, ice cream, and cup ramen. I'm probably rating this market higher than normal simply because of nostalgia, but this Stater Bros has gotten me through a lot, and that's just because they were there. Would come back again for any necessary items!

Very very dissatisfied with an 8 inch white cake with buttercream frosting from the bakery. The bakery is the worst!!! The cake had very little frosting on top and around the cake. The writing look like a child wrote it. Cake was dry! I have always gone to Staters for cakes and I will never ever go back. Very sad This is the Staters in Walunt

Went in a rush to pick up some flowers. They were able to help me right away to assemble the bouquet I wanted! So grateful, thank you!

*STATER BROS FRIED CHICKEN RATING * Came here to grocery shop and saw that they had 8pc chicken for $4.99! It was breasts, thighs, legs, and wings! The chicken was actually pretty good, it was very salty but crunchy. And the inside was tender and juicy! The employee who helped me wasn't the nicest but I was pretty satisfied with the chicken. I would def order this again! I wanted to try the mango habanero chicken but they ran out so I'll be back to get some next time! Hand sanitizer available, cart wipes available, masks were worn and enforced (:
