“This morning I hit the open road, not knowing that a few hours into my journey I would pull into a gas station to refuel and find myself with no bank card, no cash and none of my identification. My handbag had been left at one of my stops along the way and could not be recovered. I had half of a tank of gas and was hours away from my home. The light at the end of my tunnel was Mr. Friedman at the Weaverville branch of my bank Coast Cental Credit Union. I pulled into the parking lot panicked and defeated. Mr. Friedman greeted me inside of the bank and immediately put me at ease. He welcomed my small dog at his desk, knowing that I had only a hot car in which to keep him. He patiently listened to and sympathized with my story of what had happened and he took every precaution to ensure that my account and my funds were protected and I had still had access to them for my journey. My day had certainly not gone as planned, but what does in this life. Mr. Friedman had turned everything around and put my puppy and myself back on our journey with everything back in order. It meant a great deal and I thank him very much.”
