Break In. Multiple units burglarized. July 23 2021.
Public Storage on Vermont Ave in Harbor City hit once again by thieves and of course there is NO video of the burglars in the facility despite all the cameras and the 12 live monitors they have on the wall in the service area. One cant help but think these burglaries are inside jobs carried out by the employees themselves. Why else is there never any video and why else do all of these fake reviews speak so highly of the staff?
My unit for instance was packed and I buried my most valuable things so the thieves were very comfortable as they stole and took their time picking through all my stuff to cherry pick what they wanted. When thieves aren't worried about someone catching them? It's because they are in cahoots with someone on the inside -- so they can take all the time they want.
Photos are those units that were broken into the last week in July of 2021.
All the red painted locks were put on these units by Public Storage because the doors were "missing locks". Why? Because the thieves removed them. (?!) What wonderful customer service. Securing units that have already been burglarized.
And did Public Storage notify me? No. I found out next time I went there -- 2 weeks after my valuables were stolen.
The whole staff should be questioned by police. This is obviously an ongoing criminal operation.
And I realize now how they do it. The thieves pose as customers and simply sit in the parking lot past-6pm and then the Public Storage attendant leaves. And the thieves then break into units and leave through the exit gate when they're done and probably use a dummy code that can't be traced. Couldn't be any easier. And despite ALL the cameras, there's never any video.
Don't trust this storage with your belongings. This is the 5th mass theft in as many years from what I've read in customer reviews. I wish someone warned me before all my valuables were ripped off.
