Awful. They are so rushed. They stuck my baby in a basket took a few pictures and called it a day. Then when I called to see where my Xmas pictures were at they told me that I may not get them til February. Too bad so sad was basically what they told me. My recommendation is to go with a local photographer and skip the crappy service and s*** customer service you get from JCPENNEY and Life touch.

I wouldn't have went here if I had known you have to wait 2 weeks to get your photos printed plus a shipping fee. Plus the sitting fee of $15. I thought it was just one fee of $15 not per person. I literally paid $140 for only digital copies (emailed copies to me) and ONE PRINTED PHOTO which was supposed to be free but yet comes with a $5 fee for shipping that ONE photo. They should disclose the fact that they aren't printing and are shipping instead so that way you don't show up and find out after the session is all done. So disappointed. I feel ripped off and the only reason I'm somewhat okay is because these are my Newborns photos so obviously not going to put him through a whole other session. All the added fees are ridiculous especially for not even walking out with prints.

UPDATE: I RECEIVED A FULL REFUND FROM CORPORATE ?I had an appointment 12/3/20 at 11:45 a.m. for my 19 month old son and my 6 month old daughter. There was a lady before me who took pictures with her dog I understand that the representative was the only one there but to make me wait for 35 to 40 minutes because this lady kept saying perfect actually can we bold the wording here oh it's perfect no wait actually can we add an explanation OMG my dog this OMG my dog that. meanwhile my kids are getting sleepy they're getting hungry, there's a reason why I made an appointment for this time because that's when my kids work best. I had it down like clockwork we were ready to go. but when you're making them wait almost an hour until you get started of course the pictures are going to come out horrible!There was absolutely zero consideration for my infant and my toddlerIt wasn't until I started being sarcastic and started staying out loud I know son you're hungry I know son you're tired they just need to finish editing the pictures because the lady can't decide on her damn dog at that point that's when the lady realized it and she finally pays for her pictures but why didn't the representative even consider anything we had going on? that's the biggest problem I have she had zero consideration for me, my children, anything that occurred in my life.It's like she saw kids and decided that she didn't want to do it she even suggested don't worry we will have plenty of time I don't have anyone after you but I don't care what you have or don't have honey I had an appointment for a reason you never considered that I also had an appointment with Santa you haven't considered that I've been quarantining since my daughter was born 6 months ago I went through enough going down three flights of stairs from my third floor apartment in Chino all the way to West Covina for you to treat me like I didn't matteryou know who you are and I want you to know that I am going to be complaining to the highest level I am taking this to corporate because what you did to me was extremely disrespectful and you know it and I tried my best to be kind to you and tell you that it wasn't your fault but the more I think about it the more it makes me sick to my stomach how disgusting you treated meYou treated me like nothing you treated me like I wasn't even thereand to suggest it was because you had no one after you you didn't consider that I had already prepaid for another appointment at 12:45 you didn't consider that I had to meet with my attorney in rancho at 2:00 you didn't bother to ask you just kept doing what you thought was best and my pictures are horrible you didn't even try to cheer up my kids when we were in the studioone picture is literally of my son's entire backside!! REALLY!?!???!!!and you saw what I was dealing with but I wasn't dealing with that when we walked in we were fine my kids were calm we were ready to go and you delayed me almost an hour of course my babies are going to be fussing at that point of course I'm going to have diapers to change the idea was be done by noon go feed my kids see Santa at 12:45 be done by 1:00 and they nap on the way home you effed me up completely!!!!!And instead of helping you kept suggesting that I just leave and come back or you kept suggesting all these things you're obviously not a mother let alone to a babyOh but you were real accommodating to the WHITE GIRL WITH HER DOG.Yes, exactly, I'M GOING THERE.So I promise I will be getting a reshoot and on top of that you overcharge me for the photos I told you they were $59.99 for the digital and you charged me $109 what is your problem! I told you I had coupons!!!this review is for the woman that was working Thursday December 3rd at 11:00 a.m.I honestly am expecting a full reshoot and I'm not even on here trying to complain and make a scene or anything I'm being honest you gave us zero consideration

Horrible horrible horrible. The ladies don't know how to photograph at all! I went in with my three kids and the photos came out ugly. Took some with my kids and you can see my sons head with no body. I called the manger and she never called me back. They don't even deserve one star. Don't waste your time going!

Felt rushed, pictures were ehh and they are not good with children. I feel like I overpaid for pictures that could have been done with my phone. Oh well, just won’t come back.

Photographer was great with my kids. They were over an hour behind. No ones calls you before you check in as a courtesy to let you know they are behind. So your there waiting until it's your turn.

For 19 years, JC Penney has been my favorite place for my photos. Every year every birthday or special event we make an appointment and we have unforgettable moments framed with love. Very nice photos, friendly people and they have good coupons good offers.

Took my daughter for her newborn photos . They came out ok . The photographer seemed very overwhelmed and annoyed cause she wasn't sleeping though . What can I say my baby was born with her eyes open literally. She also seemed that way cause it was a busy day. I felt rushed when I was choosing the pics. I didn't feel she had good skills . But they get an extra star for allowing me to change some sheets at the end.

I've been to this location twice. I can't say I'm pleased with my experiences. Very little effort on there part. Picture's I'm not to excited about receiving. They don't have a great prop selection to choose from. There right next to you when selecting your photo's, with no time to yourself to make a proper choice on photo's (so they can get you out faster). My photo album was a bit ackward & forced but I picked what I had too. Customer service is okay but not terrible. Seems as if they get you in & out but can careless if your comfortable. Not a happy camper. I might give Jcpenny potraits Montclair a try & see how that experience goes. As far as this location. I'm going to have to pass 👎

I have been disappointed with every part of my experience with this studio. I had a fabulous experience with JCPenney portraits at the Whittier location, and was expecting the same at Lakewood, but unfortunately this was not the case. My husband and I brought our 18mo son for a family portrait and the photographer seemed to have no experience working with children. Every attempt to engage my son was half-hearted and I ended up having to do all the work to make him laugh and smile. When it was time to review our photos, the girl at the computer insisted on showing me several of her "creation" ideas even after I told her specifically what I was looking for. We were short on time and I ended up feeling rushed and pressured to buy a collage that she made. Then when we got our portrait, the girl at the desk didn't offer to open it and check the quality and correct order. I had to request it. She did a very rushed job, and when I got home I found out there is some slight warping on the edge of the picture.
