Upon coming in to get blood work done, I had read the reviews on Quest for the West Covina location and other locations. Almost every comment was regarding the wait time which really worried me about coming here, but I had to get the blood work done asap. I was ready to wait 3+ hours and receive poor customer service, as I had read from previous reviews. To my surprise, everyone was getting called in quick. People were coming in and out and I was actually seen on time. I made an appointment at 8:30am online and was called in at 8:20am. I got the blood work done in about 10 minutes.My suggestion is, make an appointment online or call quest to make an appointment. Also, arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment so that you don’t miss it and have to be taken in as a walk in. Otherwise, you can make an appointment at the self check station, which is at the front desk!

If i could give it "0" stars i would. They never have appointments available. Walk-in takes more than 2hr wait. Very unprofessional. It looks like they only have 3 phlebotomist working.

Although they are busy and understaffed they really worked extra hard to service customers waiting even those who arrive late. Very kind and went above and beyond.

If you go here on a slow day, it's actually great. Wait time will be like 3 minutes after checking in and employees are nicer since it's not as hectic. Glad I came in on a slow day.

I had an appointment. Was late 5 minutes but my wait time after being late was only 10 minutes. The phebotomist was very courteous and kind. As far as paying for parking, it you are out of the facility within 2 hours there is no parking fee. Unfortunately people tend to exaggerate their experience.The squeaky wheel gets the oil mentality. I for one have been using the facilities for over 20 yrs. And while some things have changed what i admire about the latest technology is no more paperwork. My Dr has the paperwork emailed in advance giving the person one month before time expires. and start. the process again. While I agree some of the staff have become not so people friendly the back office staff is great

My appointment was at 12. Got there 15 minutes earlier. Waited almost 3 hours with an appointment!!!! Staff is also rude when you ask question!! This place needs NEW staff and get rid off all the rude lazy ones they have now! Place is a disaster!

Customer service is not the greatest. It seems like upper management needs to see what their staff needs. They appear overworked and understaffed at the majority of the locations.

I had an appointment at 1:30pm but after looking for parking and waiting for the elevator, I checked in 11 mins late. I had to check in as a walk in. The screen said it would be a 30-60 min wait, that was fine. While waiting, I decided to make another appointment at 2:40, same location. It was 2:10 and since I was already there, I decided to check in early. I inputted my appointment code and the screen said I didn't have an appointment so I kept my previous walk in status. I decided to try again with my appointment code at 2:45 and again it said I didn't have an appointment. I explained what happened to a phlebotomist and they said I wasn't supposed to check in more than 10 mins before my appointment but that isn't stated ANYWHERE during the appointment scheduling OR on the check in screen. I asked how long I would have to wait and they said not long. They lied. They didn't call in ANY walk ins while I was there. There were multiple appointment no-shows and still no walk ins were called. I was first on the walk in list and still I didn't get called in until 3:50, when ALL appointments were taken in. That's over 2HRS after my initial check in and over an hour after my second appointment. There was another patient in the waiting room with me who had the same thing happen with the lost appointment after checking in early. I would NOT recommend showing up as a walk in and I would defined NOT recommend checking in more than 10 mins before your appointment time.

The fact that you have to pay for parking already makes this building a lower review. After 2 hours you're still waiting. Quest diagnostics entire self check in thing makes no sense. My Grandma had to get someone to help her as I was looking for parking. As I was waiting with her multiple older people needed to ask for help. An actual person would be able to collect all necessary paperwork etc. to get that process going and make things faster. That way once you're called you can just get what you need done. Even with an appointment you're still waiting longer than you should.

Tip: Do not do the walk-in... 'MAKE AN APPOINTMENT"... QUEST PARKING IS $$$ after 2 hours of parking, if you do the walk in they have you sit there for at least 2 hours before calling you in for a simple blood test... Which makes it 5 to 10 minutes past the 2hour time that was free, and you end up having to pay $4.00 to $8.00 for the 4- 6 minutes it takes you to go down the elevator, walk out of the building and get to your car. Quest Diagnostics,'DOSE NOT VALADATE PARKING" When asked,the nurse told me, 'Sorry but we're not affiliated with our patients parking lot"... we're separate from them! So, Just know... 'YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"
