Revised to 1 star following recommendation that my dog have her teeth pulled to resolve a bacterial issue with her lips. 2 vets same recommendation plus one required a bunch of expensive heart tests as kiely is 11. (second vet disagreed). Took her to VCA TLC for another opinion. They referred me to a dermatologist at MASH who diagnosed and resolved with an antibiotic. To think they would have pulled her teeth!!! Not sure what to say other than I would never trust them again with my dog. Ever.

It was a great experience from the moment we dropped her off to the moment we picked her up. She is doing great after the surgery.

I had an emergency situation with my dog and didn’t want to bring her to my regular vet, as I’m not fully satisfied with them. I made the rash decision to come here and I’m so glad I did! They took her in immediately and the staff treated us so well. The vet is a lovely woman with a sense of humor to put you at ease, while the manager who operated on Ani is also a funny and trusting man with great skill. I had another situation to attend to and they had her in and out in a small window of time without sacrificing their skills! The price was very reasonable, one of the main reasons I left my previous vet. I can’t thank this staff enough for all they do! This will be our new regular vet!

I have 5 young cats, and all of them have received excellent care at Laurel Pet Hospital. My oldest, Olivia, is a very scared girl and Dr. Todd was able to handle her, run all of the tests that we needed, and perform surgery on her without difficulty. I've been very happy with my experiences at LPH and highly recommend this clinic!

We love Dr. Mehta! She is so caring, kind, and personable. I trust her completely! She did a dental for my dog, Charlie, and it was perfect. I was so nervous to put my dog under anesthesia, but she was great with communication and making sure I was involved and informed throughout the whole process. She’s also been able to get us in on short notice when Charlie has been sick. She is the best and we will keep coming back to her!

Moved from RI to LA and was stressed to find a new vet. Failed on my first 5 calls to other vets. Not taking new patients, not answering the phone etc. So glad they didn't. Laurel Pet Hospital was very pleasant on my first call and got my sick kitten in asap. Everyone was super kind and empathetic. Now my 2 kitties have a new Vet and we couldn't be happier.

My recent visit to laurel pet hospital left me utterly disappointed with both the customer service and the staff’s evident lack of knowledge about pet care. It was an experience I feel compelled to share, so others can be wary. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was far from welcoming. The receptionist appeared disinterested and barely acknowledged my presence. I had several questions about my pet’s health, but it felt as though I was bothering them. Their lack of enthusiasm for their work was palpable. As I waited in the uncomfortable and poorly-maintained waiting area, I observed other pet owners equally frustrated with the service. Some had appointments, yet they were left waiting for extended periods without any updates. It was clear that the clinic’s time management was severely lacking. When I finally got in to see the vet, I hoped for some insightful advice and guidance regarding my pet’s health concerns. However, I was met with a disheartening lack of knowledge. The vet seemed unsure about basic pet care principles and couldn’t provide satisfactory answers to my questions. This was deeply concerning, as I expected a professional clinic to be well-versed in their field. The combination of terrible customer service and a lack of knowledge made it abundantly clear that I wouldn’t be returning to this Pet Clinic. It’s crucial for pet owners to receive both competent care and a friendly, informative environment, neither of which I encountered during my visit. I urge anyone seeking quality pet care to explore other options and avoid the disappointment I experienced at this clinic.

This place was nothing short of a disappointment. My girlfriend and I appalled by the terrible customer service and the stark lack of knowledge among the staff. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the clinic had no regard for customer service. The receptionist was unhelpful and disinterested, failing to provide even a basic greeting. I was left waiting for an extended period with no explanation or apology for the delay. The overall atmosphere was far from welcoming. When I finally saw the vet, I had high hopes for getting answers to my pet’s health concerns. Unfortunately, those hopes were dashed as it became evident that the vet lacked essential knowledge about pet care. Basic questions stumped them, and their responses were vague and unconvincing. It left me feeling like I had wasted my time and money. The combination of terrible customer service and the staff’s evident incompetence in pet care made it clear that this Pet Clinic was not worth my trust or investment. I would strongly advise anyone seeking professional and caring pet healthcare to look elsewhere, as this clinic falls far short of the standards one would expect.

I can almost always get into see a doctor or a tech within 24 to 48 hours in a non-emergency situation. The front desk staff are always friendly and the medical and tech folks are always thorough and caring. I have been bringing my dogs here for 20+ years.

Honestly I did not have a great experience here. I took my dog here to get checked/treated for possible fleas and a general checkup. However, they recommended he get dental cleaning and would require blood work before scheduling this. I was fine with it and asked for a quote for financial transparency since I’m not familiar with vet costs as this is my first dog. The vet said he would get a quote and after a little while the assistant came back and said I was good to go. I mentioned the vet was getting a quote for blood work for the cleaning and I was sent on my way anyways. Very strange.Lastly, at checkout as I was paying, the girl at the front desk said they were checking to make sure my dog had a specific vaccination… why was this being checked as I’m already walking out the door?I was left feeling uncertain that my dog had been properly taken care of.The icing on the cake is that the whole staff kept calling my dog a girl when it’s a boy, even after the checkup.

Laurel Pet Hospital is exceptional! Dr. Rettinger is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind. The administrative staff is super efficient, organized, and accommodating. All the vet techs are friendly and sweet, both with me and my cat. It's hard to leave him for treatment, but I always feel reassured knowing that he's with people who go above and beyond to make sure he's comfortable and feeling safe.My cat had a dental cleaning and extraction today, and Justin, one of the techs, took the time to answer all my questions about aftercare and was so thorough. My cat means the WORLD to me and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Laurel is the best!

Took my cat in to inspect for possible ringworm. Doctor said she couldn't see the spot b/c my cat was wriggling too much. Charged me full price. I suggest you get out of the veterinary field if you struggle to inspect cats. Horrible attitude. Couldn't recommend less. Go to Melrose Vet instead.
