AwfulTried calling them to make sure I fell in compliance and they can’t even manage that. They have no oversight either so this comment is a waste of time.Don’t live in this city. Don’t do business here. Overpriced racket.

Bad customer service! West Hollywood has been going downhill for years now! French Market closed for over 5 years now! Weho will leave many buildings closed for years, Terrible postoffice on Fairfax no parking, broken drop off for years now. Homeless people everywhere for years now. West Hollywood takes many years to change anything. Coming in here makes you see why.

Just came from the parking office where I was informed that the company that made their decals went out of business so now residents have to use the large hanging placard in order to not get a ticket. WeHo, as a City is useless. No one was able to solve this problem. When by the parking structure office first where a sign posted saying they were not accepting in person contact. The fellow inside was sound asleep. I tell you how disappointed I am at my support of making West Hollywood a City back in the 80's. Lived here for 45 yrs and can't wait to move when the time comes... WEHO.... THANKS FOR NOTHING!

Horrible!!! I've been a resident of West Hollywood for over five years and this was the most awful experience. First went and parked in the new parking lot that are now machine run and I was there for two minutes they charged me a $1 I didn't even go inside City Hall because I needed to make an appointment just to go enter to file a complaint and out something in my building. This has nothing to do with money it's the principle and lack of customer service. West Hollywood is supposed to care about their residents this was awful never again!!

Horrible experience obtaining a simple building permit to upgrade old windows. WEHO should learn how to accommodate property owners. No wonder West Hollywood looks so trashy.

If you have an issue with the noise that the NON-STOP construction brings to your home, and the disrespectful and harassing behavior of the people doing the construction, don't bother calling the city. I spoke to an officer Espinosa (sp?) in code compliance who was rude, dismissive, and obviously on the side of the workers no matter what. He was completely put out by having to take my call at all, even though that is his job. The residents are nothing but an annoyance to the residents who they are supposed to be supporting.

They literally allow construction work at 2am next to your apartment and will keep you awake all night. Horrible city government

The guy who issues the parking permit is a complete nightmare - he should not be in a position where he has to communicate with people.

Taking a trip to city hall is usually a dreaded experience. Especially if it's to meet with some BORING Bureaucrat who's just going to tell you "Can't do this" "Can't do that" "Do you have a permit for that?'" Usually you just want to respond in true cowboy form and say "I have my permit right here" and then show them the building you've just designed. Fortunately, at West Hollywood City Hall, far from being boring bureaucrats, the people who work here fun flounders! I have to come in here on a fairly regular basis because I'm low down on the totem pole at an architecture firm and have to deal with getting things approved and whatnot, and I couldn't say more about the professionalism and general lack of corruption going on here at city hall. I mean, it's amazing to think how easy corruption would be if you were working in the building department at a city hall. All it would take would be for one powerful religious organization to throw a little bit of money towards a couple people, and BOOM, ventilation systems that are supposed to make sure there isn't methane build up over the Salt Lake Oil Fields no longer work as intended. But every time I've been here it's been Bam Slam thank you Cam. In and out with a thorough overview of all the necessary components of my plan. No shenanigans (unless the shenanigans involve Pinatas! I saw them have a Pinata there one day for their birthdayed co-worker and it made me jealous!) They have parking! Danny Spreading Truth!

Everyone is always welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. It's great to walk inside and feel the energy of everyone working in this building, to make our city as wonderful as it is.

Parking services absolutely never answers the phone. For a city that enforces every square inch of parkable space, they sure don't care for the residents.

I was starting a business in October 2015. I have very little idea how to start one. When I finally went to WeHo City Hall, the staffs, one of them is Angel, were so hospitable and nice. They guided me step by step until I get all the necessary permits, licenses and certificates to establish a business in WeHo. I am so thankful that they were there to guide and assist me all the way. Their consistency is admirable, when they showed me the same welcoming characters the second time I went there. Good job and thank you!

I have often marveled at how a city of just 35,000 residents manages an average city employee pay in the top third of all cities in the State of California. For example, according to public records, the city's Director of Human Resources received total compensation of over $259,000 in 2013. Really? Read the all too many negative reviews regarding poor serice levels below and judge for yourself the level of value city residents receive for the city's "stellar" hiring practices. City Hall is inward looking. Always has been.

It's sad I have to give any stars. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Totally amazing to me that ANY of the people working here were given and/or sought out jobs to work with actual human beings. This is specifically for the recreation department. RUDEST most untrained and uncivilized employees I have ever encountered. There is one gentleman named Miles we met at the park who seemed to have manners and generally cares about the kids and their parents but the rest of the staff?? Especially IN city hall- there is a woman named Olivia and a man whose name I WISH I could remember- they are nasty, ill mannered and clearly don't even LIKE children and seem to like dealing with parents even less. It's sad that with the number of families now living here there aren't nicer people working with them. My partner and I were disgusted.

Okay, so I work for an HVAC contractor office, and I deal with a variety of municipalities building and safety departments. What I find is that when you leave them messages, because they never answer the phone, they never call back. However, this was not the case with West Hollywood. I just got off the phone with Joe, and he was extremely helpful. Not only that but he was extremely pleasant to speak to. Not all reps at building and safety are that nice, so speaking with Joe was quite refreshing. I don't know the guy, but he definitely deserves to be recognized.
