I've tried this restaurant several times now and I'm always so impressed by the quality and taste of the food, the service is outstanding. Excellent for any type of occasion. Reminds me a lot of my home country, I highly recomend this place.

Authentic Italian food and courteous/patient. They helped explain every detail of the menu items available.

Excellent restaurant. Went for my birthday with the family. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Absolutely terrible service. Will never revisit. Will make sure to let all my friends know about this horrible experience. Over priced drink specials with low quality alcohol. We were sat at the bar near the restrooms. Kept getting bumped by servers helping everyone else. After the drinks were served we were totally ignored when we were ready to order, even after getting the attention of several servers informing them we were ready. I cannot believe how unprofessional this establishment was. A complete waste of time and money. The staff was utterly oblivious. Ruined the entire evening.

Al Mulino has excellent food. I have been there a number of time, and it is consistently good. The lasagne is great, as is the pizza. We've had some magnificent chicken dishes as well. Unfortunately, they do not offer the pizza all day every day. The gelato is also amazing, though not cheap. The baked goods look great, but those are not my thing so I have not tried any.

Stumbled upon this place and found it to be a real jam. Ordered Frutti Di Mare and absolutely loved it. Super nice & accommodating people.

After living in Naples, Italy for 3 years, upon our return to the U.S. we assumed we would have to pine away for the taste of real Italian wood fired pizza. We eagerly visited Al Mulino soon after it's opening to try them out. Fabio Ferrari, two time World Pizza Champion, did not disappoint. The pizza was PEREFCT, the wine outstanding and the ambiance was reminiscent of our favorite haunts in Napoli. Desserts were fresh and irresistible. We will be back!

Unfortunately, rude unaccomodating hostess despite our reservation and claims of being "fully booked" despite the indoor seating being nearly vacant all night, even when we finally left. The waitress was very sweet and did well. However the other server was fairly incompetent. Things were repeated. The food was highly mediocre and the bolognese was so oily that my napkin was too dirty to use by the middle of my meal, and had a strange metallic taste. "Marinara" / bread sauce had a tap water flavor. Salad was wilty and obviously packaged. Chicken breast with spinach should be renamed to "spinach salad with a few strips of chicken and apple chunks." Will not be returning any time soon. I truly hope things get better, and maybe I will come back if they do.

Excellent food but weak service. Flat Prosecco was served to my wife, not even a full glass. Meals came randomly. Went for my wife's birthday celebration.."birthday stated in the open table reservation". Hostess even asked...but no birthday recognition happened...really disappointed. Food is light-years beyond the service. But the food is not good enough to overcome the weak service. Charge for extra bread, stingy Prosecco poor...add up to feeling of the restaurant being cheap. Most likely will not return.

This place quickly became our favorite restaurant. Everything we’ve had was simply amazing, and the entire staff is wonderful. The prawn appetizer was out of this world, and I’m not even a huge seafood lovin’ person. There’s obvious care when it comes to the selection of fresh ingredients at Al Mulino. And don’t even get me started on the desserts...we’ve walked out with 5 in a take home box to enjoy at home. When the times comes that I pass onto another world, the salted caramel gelato will be requested as my last meal.

I asked them why they didn't shave their Parmesan reggiano cheese like big restaurant do and they told me it took too much time. the service was slow and the food was not that great.

I am not typically a fan of Italian food. But this is getting 5 stars for a reason. I had a pera salad, spinich raviloi and this cheesecake that was a cross between a panna Cotta and a cheesecake that was divine! That was a crazy good salad and delicious pasta. The only thing that I may have changed was the pasta was a little softer than I would have liked, but still so delicious. Service was great too.

Yesterday, my hubby-to-be wanted me to make reservations at another new local restaurant, I read all reviews and decided to not go there, just yet. We had not yet been to Al Mulino, so I read their reviews...and though the service was occasionally criticized, the food was most always raved about, so we went to Al Mulino. We were sat right down, brought water. Then we waited several minutes, suddenly this energetic young lady asked if we have been helped yet, we said no, and she said I'll take care of you. Her name is Anna (not sure of spelling), she was amazing, sweet, took great care in helping us decide what we might get to share...amazing Al Mulino pizza!!!! And a couple dishes of our own. My fiancé had the lobster and shrimp ravioli, and I chose the Paccheri Strascicati pasta. First, the pizza...we recently went to Napoli and had authentic certified (yes there is a certification) Napoletana pizza which had ruined us...YES, it's that good! Well Al Mulino is now our local true pizza place, bringing the best Napoletana crust I've had outside Naples...the first bite was OMG good! Delicious, chewy, cooked perfectly pizza like we shared in Naples, just amazing! We wanted to get the Margarita pizza (we love this simple Napoletana pizza), but we also wanted a salad, and did not want to over eat or over order, so Anna suggested the Al Mulino, as it has arugula and tomatoes with prosciutto di Parma, it was the perfect best of both! "He" liked his lobster and shrimp ravioli, and finished it! I honestly didn't quiz him for details, as I was in love again with my Paccheri Strascicati pasta. I chose this dish as they make their own sausage, and I love good Italian style sausage, so this was a true test for me personally! Al Mulino knocked this out of the park! I loved every bite, and saved some to take along with four slices of yummy pizza for a delicious snack on Sunday. So yes, the coordination of servers initially could improve, but we had amazing service once it really started...we love Anna! And this Italian food was fresh, very Italian, cooked perfectly, and amazingly good! We will be back to this local Italian gem!

Came here once months ago and thought it would be delicious like the reviewers were claiming. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. I had seafood soup and it didn't smell or taste fresh. I got an upset stomach the next day. The spaghetti was very delicious though. If you go, don't try anything that isn't a staple Italian dish.

If you've ever had good Italian, this isn't it. But I was super stoned... so, I ate everything.

This little rare gem will have you dreaming about their authentic Italian pizza for days! Make sure to save room for their delicious case of desserts and homemade gelato. The service staff is consistent and kind and has a way of making you feel at home.

Excellent from start to finish. Can tell the owners and staff take pride in their restaurant. Lynda, our server, was outstanding! Great recommendations! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Homemade pasta in all the dishes - YUM! Definitely recommend

This is my third review of Al Mulino, and both I and wifey believe that this is the best Italian restaurant in the Coñejo Valley...and San Fernando Valley...and beyond, all the way to West Hollywood. Last night, Friday, was packed, but we still got great service and food that seemed transported straight from la bella Italia. Gianluca and his lovely wife were there, Fernanda was our charming server - and again, the food is the true star. The minestrone was rich, chock-full of vegetables; the spinach ricotta ravioli were out of this world - we downed them so fast we forgot to take a photo of the savory, vividly green filling. We finished with a wonderfully light cheesecake special and of course the tiramisú, house made, dense with mascarpone (see photo). Two glasses of Chianti accompanied this wonderful meal. What would we do without Al Mulino?!

Went here for dinner last night with some girlfriends and it is one of my new favorite spots ! I had the pasta special with truffle and it was FANTASTIC ! Our server Anna was so attentive and adorable not to mention cute and sweet, she really made our experience exceptional by suggesting delicious dishes that I absolutely enjoyed. Loved the wine selection as well. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I love restaurants like this. The staff is so nice and very welcoming. Very nice inside the restaurant, nice and clean. We were seated right away. Went here with my daughter and we shared everything. We started out with drinks, a black widow and a mint bourbon (each 15.00). I have had better drinks but it was good. We shared the burrata salad (16.00) and it was good, but who doesnt love burrata? We then shared the Pizza Al Mulino (18.00) proscuitto on the side, daughter is vegetarian. Love the ingredients on this pizza. Thought they had chocolate mousse in the case but found out it was panna cotta (not a fan), waitress told me their texture was more mouselike so i took a chance. Light and fluffy, not jelly like, just how i love my mousse. Great dinner, with wonderful service! Only thing i wished was they played Italian music.

Always a great time at Al Mulino! First of all the food is as good as it gets! The clientele are happy and if you sit at the bar there are always great people to talk to. The owners are very welcoming and the staff especially Anna, Fernanda, and Linda are as good as anywhere. Couldn't recommend it any more highly!

The best authentic Italian food around. I highly recommend it.

The food is exceptional at this restaurant, but the service, wait, and ambiance is lacking. Very busy restaurant, not enough help, and the help that they do have is not up to par. It's a shame actually, because their food is really good, but also is a bit pricey.

Excellent choice for dinner. Italian style so take your time with your meal. Some portion sizes could have been a little larger but overall fine. Anna was our server and she was excellent- great customer service. Ask to be seated at her tables - you won't be disappointed.
