Breakfast was great, nice portions and great service. Orange juice was overpriced $6 for a small glass, they should've put vodka in it for that price.

Took my 95 yesr old grandmother here for lunch. The servers were so accommodating with her walker and speed. The food was delicious all around. Oma tends to be picky these days but really enjoyed the blintze and latke appetizer eating more than we have seen her eat in a long time. A great experience with great food.

This place is amazing. I live in Santa Barbara, sometimes commuting to Irvine for work, and I stop here every single trip. My only issue is the menu and that everything is too good to pass up. I can never decide between matzo ball soup, split pea, or brisket cabbage so end up ordering two and getting one to go... Then there are the sandwiches vs dinners, again an impossible choice. Ultimately you cannot go wrong with any pastrami based sandwich.

Had a really nice breakfast. They were good about keeping people apart so I felt safe. I wish it wasn't so noisy.

So many problems with our DoorDash order. Ordered 2 soups, didn’t get any. The monte cristo didn’t come with preserves. The salad did not come with any dressing. Lol that’s crazy. The apple pie, the apples weren’t even cooked it was CRUNCHY. The cheese blintzes came with strawberry applesauce???????Ironically, out of everything the star of the show was the chicken tenders. They were incredible. So good job on the tenders. Extra star for those.

This is the worst deli I've ever experienced. It's horribly expensive and the food is uninspiring. I'm from the NYC area. My family owned a deli as I was growing up. Needless to say, I'm a foodie, and specifically, I know deli.Having been to Brent's in the past, I knew the offering was lower quality, but I got covid this year and needed local delivery. I was longing for chicken soup with matzo balls. I broke down and ordered. I think I paid about $25 for a quart to be delivered. I knew this place puts noodles in the matzo ball soup. An odd practice and certainly not old deli style, which is my preference since our family business. So when I ordered, I specifically stated NO NOODLES. If I wanted chicken noodle soup, I could get it in a can at gelsons. The soup delivered to my home was of course chicken noodle with a side container of matzo balls. No carrots, celery, fresh dill, just gobs of some kind of cooked noodles. I called and they gave me a credit for the "next" order. Ha. Anyway, Brent is from Ohio, not NY, and he has no idea how to make matzo ball soup. The awful bagels are from Western Bagels who seemed to have gotten even worse over the last 30 years. They are completely dough, no crust at all.Now all this might be fine for the uninitiated. After all, this is California and not NYC, the deli capital of the world. But if you're looking for a real old world jewish deli, Brent's ain't it.
