Well here's the review I thought I would never write: AVOID BURT'S PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS! This place ran like a Swiss watch when PJ worked there. After PJ's departure earlier this year, they haven't been able to fill one prescription correctly for me. All of my prescriptions are recurring refills and somehow they manage to mess them up LITERALLY every single time. I have not had one prescription filled correctly without issue since PJ's departure. I switched to Burt's after having some nightmare experiences at CVS and now, Ironically, I am at the point of going back to CVS just to get away from Burt's, where filling every prescription requires about 30 minutes worth of phone calls and potentially a second delivery to fix what got messed up on the first one. It really is a shame to see such a great place go downhill so severely. Now I'm sitting here, completely out of a medication that was supposed to be delivered last week, because Burt's dropped the ball, once again.

Went to see a specialist in Westlake and they suggested I get my prescription from Burt's instead of the Sav-on by my house because they are usually better stocked... so I did :) This pharmacy is a little far from where I live so I took a chance to see if they would fill my prescription while I was out in Westlake for my appointment - called them up and they let me know they could get it ready for me immediately! Walking in it's more like a women's clothing / novelty shop with a few aisles of medicine needs. There was actually lots of cute merch but I needed to stay on track and headed to the back which is where the pharmacy is. Such a friendly staff with amazing customer service! From the call to prescription in hand was about 15 minutes. If I was more local this would def be my go-to pharmacy.

(Please note I am posting on my father's Google account to make sure this gets posted)Burts Pharmacy is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I can only personally speak to the Westlake Village location since that is my local spot, but I have a strong feeling that every single Burt's Pharmacy offers the same outstanding patient care and customer service (which I have heard from others as well). I used to get all my prescriptions filled at CVS, mostly because I don't have the best insurance and thought only big corporate-type pharmacy giants would take my insurance, but thankfully that is not the case! Not only does Burt's Pharmacy work with almost every insurance carrier, but they give so much more of a personalized experience that it literally feels like a different world compared to any other pharmacy. The "Good Neighbor Pharmacy" slogan is not just a meaningless catch phrase, but an actual way of serving the public that represents Burt's compassionate and supportive system. The moment you walk in you will be greeted with a smile and have Burt's world class expert pharmacy staff waiting to go above and beyond helping patients and customers. All of their staff members are both extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and their pharmacists are always available to provide specific medication information and answer any questions you might have. In my experience I have received the most personalized, compassionate, and most importantly accurate prescription information from Burt's best-in-class pharmacists. I wanted to nominate them for the Ventura County Star "Best of 2023" awards (since I nominated my doctor, dentist etc) but I did not see a category for Best Pharmacy which doesn't seem fair. Burt's Pharmacy offers personalized, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, quality care every single time you call or walk in and they are the ONLY pharmacy I would highly recommend to anyone in the Ventura County area!!! Best staff ever, incredibly short wait times, and they even offer $5 same-day delivery which is an incredibly good value, and very convenient for patients like myself. This was my first time at Burts pharmacy as I was with a friend who needed to pick up a recently called in prescription. Burt's current location is in what once was a women's clothing boutique. The actual pharmacy itself located in the back of the store, I mean it's visible although one has to walk toward the back of the store to see it. The environment is warm and welcoming with to mention a few....lots of knickknacks, books, kitchen towels, and yes some clothing too, all displayed beautifully. We went to the register as the prescription was ready when we arrived. My friend had several questions which the pharmacist patiently answered for her. After paying for the medication, we were on our way when my friend thought of more questions regarding her medication. We called the store from the car and again the pharmacist answered all of her questions in a manner which made it easy for my friend to understand. Thank you Burts pharmacy for your wonderful attention and care!

This place and even more so their staff is a gem! I had the best experience with Zach who without me even asking worked some magic to get a notoriously difficult medication covered through my secondary insurance. Similar experience earlier this month with another medication. Highly recommend them!!! How refreshing to encounter genuine desire to help your customer. Made my day!!!

This is the most unprofessional pharmacy I've ever encountered. I called in advance to make sure they had the medication I need post surgery and they said they have it. Then, I had my doctor call it in, called to make sure it was ready and because I'm from out of town they said they wouldn't fill the prescription. The pharmacist was incredibly rude, told me that every pharmacy lies and most likely has the medication but are lying to me. I have never encountered a less professional pharmacy in all of my life and such a huge inconvenience right after surgery.

amazing staff that really went above and beyond to help me. I just moved to the area and it has been a nightmare to get my meds at cvs. I'm really grateful I found this pharmacy. The loveliest humans work here and I will be transferring everything here. Thank you!!!

I have been going to this pharmacy for approximately 5 years now. I don't exactly remember. I will never again change pharmacies. They get you the best deals, and help you out whenever possible. They are super friendly and go out of their way to expedite shipping, get medications in on a one day basis, and after 3 or so visits they will know you by name.It is NOT AT ALL like being at a Walgreens or a CVS where you're just another number and dollar sign. You are a person they care about and treat with respect. They are also very knowledgeable and help with finding what's right for you with over the counter medication.PJ and Dawn are the 2 original people that are still there that are so cool and friendly. The owner is no longer working at this location, but I miss his friendly help, and encouragement when I was feeling down, or sick.The gifts are hilarious and I always get my niece and nephew a gift, and I even get my parents gag gifts there. It is well themed and have a lot to offer for every type of personality.

Great customer service. I had my prescriptions called in while I was in clinic and they were ready in a timely manner. The pharmacist on site was extremely welcoming and even had a couple minutes to chat with me about my prescription medication and how my clinical rotation was going. It was like I'd known him for years. The inside is cute and has so many gifts to purchase while you wait for your prescriptions to get filled. No wonder all of our patients love coming here, it's so convenient and it seems like there's never a wait. I will be back soon when I'm in the area since. Best pharmacy experience ever! :D

I love this place. PJ is the best. The staff are friendly. My co-pays have been better here than at some other local pharmacies.
