Iv never felt the need to leave a negative review for anywhere. Iv been going to this location for 4 years and yesterday was my last time. Usually they are kind and helpful. The way they treated my pet was borderline cruel. One young blonde front desk girl and the actual veterinarian was very kind but the rest of the staff and the vaccine injector was not. My pets always stay with me during the visit but this time they took him in the back, wailing outside the room scared for maybe 30 plus minutes. When they brought him back someone else tried injecting the vaccine multiple times to where he was bleeding all over the staff and me. They blamed my pet for moving while stabbing him in the same spot over and over. After many try's I finally asked if they could please do another spot and smaller needle (He didn't flinch once they did that). This wasn't even half of it. The attitude and disorganization baffled me. I will never go back. I am truly sorry if this affects any jobs but please beware before you take your pet here.

The staff at Banfield are all amazing. I've been to the Chatsworth and Westlake offices, both great.

Usually, the front desk employees are attentive polite and courteous. There is one woman (middle-aged) who really should not be working the front desk in person she's rude and even more so on the phone. I work in a hospitality facility. Customer service is our main focus. I have dealt with this woman (an employee) several times now, and she, as well as the business, for allowing such behavior to ruin a clients day should be ashamed of themselves.

I brought my dog in for chronic ear infections and believed Dr. Y when she said my dog would need treatments every two weeks ($80) Unforutnately after spending over $1000 and seeing NO improvement I complained and she FINALLY referred me to a specialist...Ummm. That should have been done about $700 ago...TOTAL RIP OFF... I also took the bait and bought the "Wellness Plan" another rip off...they say you can cancel at any time, but if you do, they will overcharge you for services already performed. I will NEVER go back there!

All of the staff are caring, warm, and welcoming. When I bring my pet in for a check-up, I feel as though they are personalizing her needs. Definitely recommend to my pet loving friends

I took my family pets here for a few years. As time went on the care for my dogs seemed to become a routine rather than a health service. They overbook so much it’s become a money factory. The last example is my dog became very ill and we needed to see a vet as soon as possible. We knew my dog was in trouble. They told me that I didn’t book an appointment soon enough and couldn’t see my dog for three days and there was nothing they could do. My dog died as she waited. We took her to another local vet to be put down because she was struggling so much. A routine dog visit will cost you hundreds even with their dog insurance. The only positive is there are so many locations no matter where you are you can most likely find a Banfield. This is a commercial care center. Also, if your pet passes away and you have their insurance…you can’t cancel the insurance. You get to pay for your dead dogs insurance for a year. ???

The staff is so pleasant. It shows they care about their patients and pet parentsI love the vet too she saw my cat the last few times. She is down to earth. I worked for vets many years ago, and they were super full of themselves, especially one of them. It is good to see her relate to us like she does, very friendly and helpfulThank you all!!+Do wish their plan was not so expensive, though. Every year, that program goes up on average $4.00, but none of the benefits increase, and i can't use some of them because I have a cat.

Refused to sell RX food that my dog needed. The emergency Vet had recommended them. I will never go back.

Very kind, gentle folks there. They were straightforward and presented my dog's treatment options clearly. Have no reservations about recommending Banfield and Dr. Milodt.

Dr. Slomowitz saved my pup Abbi's life after she had an accident while playing with a stick. I've been taking my dogs here for over 5 years and love the entire staff. They truly care about their patients and it shows. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

If you love your pets like we do ours, do not take them here. I took my beautiful, sweet, soulmate rag doll cat here for a check up here 6 months ago, when I noticed she had lost some weight. She was given a clean bill of health and sent on her way. 7 months later she has passed away. She was only 7 years old. She was obviously sick with something and we did not know until she quickly deteriorated and ultimately passed away on Halloween. This vet did a full physical full blood work and detected nothing. There was prob further testing that she needed that they didn't take my concerns seriously or just lack skills and intuition. In addition to this trauma that we dealt with losing our precious pet the experience was horrendous. We are told we have to drop her off and they keep her there all day. Over ten hours. They keep calling and saying she's aggressive. This is a cat that has grown up with kids and is patient and gentle. If she is acting aggressive it's either the way she is being treated or the fact that she's been held at a foreign place in a cage all day. The bill: $500 + a monthly wellness plan for $40. I call back later I want off the plan because I decide I won't be taking any of our pets back there. They say I'll have to pay additional fees $500 to cancel. All this money and not even the peace of mind that my girl is ok. They even went as far to send her home with seditives that they say we will need to give her if we bring her back for another check up because of how aggressive she is. I called back 6 months later trying to cancel this plan again as my cat has now passed away and they say it's $200 to cancel. Just a corporate vet that is in it for the $ and nothing else. Take your pets to Dr Lisa or Dr Lupo in Malibu. It's worth the 20 min drive and your animals are worth it Zero stars should be an option!

Well my experiences may be biased. I took the bait and enrolled in their annual program. That costs me monthly.Emily & Dr. M today were absolutely fantastic helping me and my furever four pawed friend to get in and out easy-peasy!! We've been going to Dr. Y's long before they became a Banfield outfit. Love them!!! Why only 4 Stars? They, Banfield, require weeks (maybe even months) in advance to book an appointment on-line just to get my dog a simple bordetella vaccination.

Ban feild took good care of my dog and I appreciate that very much. However they really need to think about how they are talking to the owners of the pets. When I called about my concerns they said ‘oh that’s not good you need to come in’ yes I know, that’s why I called. And then when they called me to pick up my dog up after their appointment, they wouldn’t tell me anything over the phone and said it was ‘best that they talked to me in person’ I understand not wanting to reiterate the condition over the phone but a simple ‘your dog is doing fine we’d just like to discuss things further in person’ would have really eased the fear I was feeling because in the end she was fine. Like I stated earlier they took good care of my pet but their language and how they speak to very concerned pet owners needs some fine tuning.

Horrible. Avoid at all costs. Signed up for the monthly plan and has been impossible to get an appointment when needed. Canceled the monthly plan and they charged be $150 on top of the $50 per month I've been paying and on top of the bill I pay when I go. Total rip off, I would even say it's a scam. If I could give 0 stars I would. It's a shame because when it was Dr. Y's, it was a great local vet. Banfeild has ruined the quality of care and the costs are not justified.
