Their California stores are the worst. After placing orders with 2 different GC stores there it became almost impossible to get either store on the phone to actually get the items shipped. Calls to Guitar Center Customer Service resulted in them saying they really weren't able to do anything, for me to call the stores directly - classic Catch-22.

Any time i order anything from your website, it arrives damaged. $1,000 cymbal set? Looks like someone ran a belt sander all over the brilliant finish. Offered a lousy $80 coupon as compensation. Ordered a drum kit and the bearing edges on 2 of the drums were damaged, the bass drum hoop was completely out of round, heads completely crushed and unusable, the cymbals that came with it were scratched and bent up.You guys are supposed to be the industry leader. DO BETTER.I never had these problems with sweetwater.

Don't see a reason to waste my time typing out much since it is obvious that GC doesn't pay attention to the many horrible reviews they recieve. I will note that the online sales rep named Allie Clason is a huge piece of garbage and blames her customers for her own short-comings while refusing to give me information on how to contact someone to complain. This sorry excuse for a human does shady stuff to steal from her co-workers and brush off any accountability. Stay trashy Allie, my complaints will go to the companies that partner with GC instead.

Schedule my child for lessons on autopay. I services and monthly autopay due to summer break and other plans leaving 6 lessons available on account. Checked bank and they've continued charging it. The reimbursed all minus 6 classes. When went to use account they've "changed" their system and now I can only use credit if I buy another 3 pack class and do monthly autopay which we now don't want, but they will also not refund it. The run around is unbelievable.

I'll never buy from guitar center again. It took me so much work to buy an epiphone casino online.i had to wait on the phone with costumer service OVER AN HOUR!!! I bought it over 500$ and they couldn't even send a case with it.

I purchased a Marshall dsl40. I was nice and took the floor model rather than asking for one new in the box at over $1000.I received $50 in rewards as I was promised. A gc rep on the phone sold me a pickup using the rewards. When I asked if I could change pickups he told me no problem. Then he could not use my rewards. He told me he had to call corporate and a couple days later told me to call the credit card company. He was unable and unwilling to make it right.I called the credit card company and was told my rewards are no longer valid. In my eyes gc cheated me out of $50. All I want is what I was promised.I just want to order my pickup and be treated fairly. I am in between 2 of your stores and have had good experiences up until now.If I can’t use my rewards there is no reason for me to buy this from you, your price is the same as everyone else and I feel cheated.And if I don’t buy from you this time bc of a bad taste in my mouth, I probably won’t come back unless it’s out of necessity. Do you want to lose a guy that’s bought thousands in gear from you over $50?I have never been told to contact a 3rd party (credit card company) to resolve an issue by any other large retailer.I would prefer to have you just honor the $50 and keep me as a frustrated, but happy with the end result customer. If I hadn’t been put through the wringer by your customer service I would not be posting this.Thank you

Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! Still waiting to hear back from Corporate. They've taken our money for lessons but San Marcos, Ca store will not recognize it, our Visa bill shows different. We are finding out that Guitar center has Bankruptcy issues and lots of bad debt. This has been an absolutely horrible experience trying to either get our money back or get our son his "paid for" lessons. Buyer beware...don't use a credit card, they keep charging your card but will not honor any services!!!We will have our credit card get our money back. I will send a message to our local news station, have them start investigating and the truth will come out!!!Research the reviews.....

Do not order from these people. This was the worst experience. Horrible customer service from gear advisors and spoke with Nate Tillery (supervisor supposedly) that was even worse at helping my shipping situation out.Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere

Don’t not shop at the New London Connecticut location. They sell used items as new. Then will up charge you to get the item you paid for. Was told I had to pay an extra $200 to get the item I was supposed to get in the first place. The customer service manager Taylor is rude and a completely incompetent employee. Sent an email to customer service and still haven’t heard a back. Apparently this stores District manager Jeremy Hanhold doesn’t respond to his stores terrible service and attempts to rip off its customers

Not sure who's pricing these used products this high .... If inflation was the case they would be offering more money for the used products no wonder why they went out of business in my city they can't even take a picture of the product and post it with the correct item listed ! Sweetwater gives you a free 2 year warranty by the way I contacted someone about this issue still waiting on response

Zero ability to contact. No one answers a phone at corporate, and the call center doing customer service is unable to authorize anything. They do apologize. That's it. The local store managers also have no authority to make things right for a customer. Bad business model.

Horrible all around. I purchased a “new” fender for $1,300 . They accepted my payment in a heart beat, and told me I was getting a new guitar. When it arrived it was poorly packaged, and was very clearly a floor model. BEWARE!! THEY WILL SELL YOU A USED PRODUCTS FOR THE PRICE OF A NEW ONE! Shady business practices

Guitar center management in Orlando, Fl advised me to file a fraudulent claim against them because they couldn’t get my guitar delivered. This really shows they don’t care about their customers or purchases made that were never delivered!

Guitar center's corporate office is top notch. I get excellent service everytime I call them. They will resolve any problems the local guitar centers can't. I just hope the branches provided this level of service.
