I love PetSmart, the prices are very good. They always give you extra products when you buy a certain amount and a certain products. Highly recommended.

My dog Sammy was severely injured in their care while having a bath. To the point that his nail was ripped off, and bleeding profusely, they had to transport him to his vet for an emergency visit. This happened about 4 weeks ago. They covered his emergency vet services, but they haven't called me to even follow up on his care. Never again! They are very negligent and dangerous for pets.

if I can give a minus one star, I would my dog has been going there since I got him in October we've gone every month since, to get his nails cut and trim down, I called this morning to let them know I was bringing him in and what was a good time for them. I gave them my phone number so they knew who he was. I put my dog in the car , drove down there, which is not close. Explain to them he's having surgery on Wednesday and I needed his nails to be cut today they could've cared less, they could've said, bring the proof next time, but they did not care to do that . They turn him away because he did not have proof of his rabies vaccine. You think they would've told me when I called this morning!!!, that I needed to bring it !!!!!!! They dismissed me, they refused to cut his nails, I will never go back there again, the pure lack of customer service and compassion is at a -0 over there . and I will call the district to let them know that it is poorly ran and they don't care and it's disgusting. They don't clean up after each dogs cut. It's ridiculous that people still go there and for Westlake Village WTF

Even though, they say they carry gentle giant. They did not have any. Leading me to believe that you can only order it online.

5-paw review here! My kitty loves Purina Hydra Care (great for kidney disease!) and I usually get it from Chewy but didn't need +$50 worth of stuff at the time... and I was not about to pay for shipping ;) Saw that they are sold at PetSmart so I called them up and the nicest team member helped me check on the item. It was the last one so she offered to hold it for me! When I arrived, I was quickly greeted by a happy human and within minutes I was checked out and on my way home. I had a really great experience - tons of parking, clean and big inside, great selection, and fabulous staff! -Just wanted to share a few great items in my experience if your cat has kidney disease. Throughout the day my cat eats Hills kidney wet & dry food (both prescription), Purina Hydra Care, and got her a stainless steel water fountain to encourage more water - and she has been doing great for a few years now. Hopefully this is helpful for someone :)

I'm going to split this in a two parts PETSMART STAFF: if it wasn't for the rescue, they would be full as stars, they are all very friendly, and are honestly just good people SERENITY CAT RESCUE: this rescue is the thing onto itself, it's like a bug that needs to be squashed, now that's not exaggerating either.. when I used to volunteer here, the beginning was fine until I got situated... she said that she was very ashamed of me and my mom and that we were such irresponsible HORRIBLE people because I was late to Volenteer one time.. 1time mind you I was only 13, and sometimes I got caught in crossfire.. she also threatened me with legal action, saying that she was going to sue me just because I wanted to LOOK at the cats.. however, I must give the credit to the volunteers, as they were so very kind to me, and I bet, as soon as I left that their opinions were tainted because of this woman; Lori Not only that but I was often told I'm a liability, even tho she had me doing soooo much. She often use that excuse against me, saying that she would probably fire me. She also tended to speak ill of potential adopters that did not make the perfect impression, she would often say these things to me while we were outside, waiting for their potential adoption choice, she also asked me my opinions on the potential adopters as well

Pros: Friendly people. Clean store, wide aisles. No funky animal smell. Cons: Large selection of items, though rarely what I need. I can usually get a better pricing through Amazon, but this will work in a pinch. They do have a rewards program, though after a few years I stopped using it because there was never anything of value (to me) offered. Today I'm simply picking up some mealworms, since it's that time of year and there are lots of cool lizards outside the house. And while they do eat bugs and pests, it's fun to get them to come up to you when you toss a mealworm in their direction.

Nathan helped us find vests for our dog. He is a skilled animal handler and had the dog trusting him within 15 seconds. Super team member, friendly, quick, knowledgeable about products. Thank you PetSmart for hiring quality staff. (We have no connection to Pet Smart or its employees.)

So to start off, they cancelled my appointment last minute and gave me a 25% discount for the inconvenience…that’s perfectly fine. I discussed my dogs allergies prior with the person I made the appointment with over the phone and they said he should be fine to give a bath (especially since he desperately needed a deep cleanse). Now I completely understand where they are coming from, and I know my Pitbull’s allergies are very severe, HOWEVER, they turned him away due to the smallest scab/wound on his body and this was discussed 5 days before his appointment. This is the only PetSmart that has turned him away, I never had this issue before. I get his baths 2 times a week at other PetSmarts and today was the day they decided to turn him down. I am so disappointed.

Nice pet food selection. This Petsmart supports adoptions rather than buying them, which is great. The cat area in the back is the best because they are in an area where they can roam and play instead of being in a cage. This makes it easy to observe their interaction or play with them. The cats are saved from the West Valley kill shelter and the cost is low, just paying for shots, chip, etc. The cats are so friendly and welcoming. Best of all, the manager Vic is not only really knowledgeable, but he adopted one of the cats at Petsmart adoptions, so he is a good example of supporting animal charities.
