Have been dealing with them following death of my spouse. They were attentive upon initially managing money with my husband with great customer service. However their Trust and Estate management is painful at best. Poorly organized, lack of any transparency, confused and continually providing misleading or incorrect information. They seemingly act without any forth thought and wait for you to deal with their mistakes and the aftermath it causes. So much of this could be avoided by providing a clear understanding of their process with continued updates. They make a difficult time period turn into an utter nightmare. If you care about your loved ones go else where.

Easy to transfer your assets into US Trust for them to manage, but good luck getting them to transfer your assets out when you get tired of using their poor services.

My mother passed away in April of this year. US Lack of Trust has kept the trust in limbo since then citing possible non proper execution of paper work. There exit officer has been less than helpful in resolving the matter and in all cases of my reaching out to them, they have not even had the decency to contact me via phone to explain what is going on. It is going on six months now and anyone who has a trust agreement with them GOOD LUCK getting your money. My probate period will probably be over before they finally agree to release the funds due my family. At this point I would never recommend anyone ever using their services. I did not want to resort to this review but I have not been able to find a way to contact anyone at their offices. All you get is voice mail and then if you are luck a vague and uncaring email response. A very poor way of doing business!!!!! Sincerely Philip Poinier

If you seek incredibly low returns on your trust account; if you want huge fees; if you want poor service that is hostile and arrogant then this is the perfect company for you. They have managed the distribution of 3 trust assets for our family. The value of the trusts in real $s shrunk by a factor of 5. Even in boom years their fees were higher than their returns. When the time came to distribute the assets they were unbelievably slow and charged even more exorbitant fees. Their service policy is hurry up and wait. They expect you to provide documentation immediately and then wait patiently for months for them to process them.

Avoid! This group is the most complacent, ethically compromised, double-dipping, half-the-story-telling, obfuscating, lackadaisical, condescending, sluggish, and substandard group I have ever dealt with. You are way better off just going to a "discount broker" with an online platform that you control on your timeline, and buying a few mutual funds and ETFs. For example, Scottrade was EXTREMELY good at being helpful and available, and educating me on their platform and investing in general. They didn't always have the information, but unlike US Trust they were NEVER misleading, and NEVER told half truths. The ONLY reason they are getting two stars instead of one is because some of the people were nice and helpful, albeit in a limited fashion. The problem is they are beholden to large corporate interests, ie. Bank of America, hence the conflict of interest. Oh, and if you fire them they will take literally months to transfer your account out, making every excuse as to why delays are happening. In fact, if our account transfer is not complete within the next 2 weeks, this review will be dropped down to one star, as these excessive delays will have completely offset their helpfulness and niceness with the stress they are causing us now. I stand by my First Amendment right to say that Bank of America SUCKS!
