Over the years, I have adopted five adult cats from Valley Cats. Their staff has always been friendly and helpful. Their job is to show you the cats, give a description of each one and then let you play and interact with them as long as you like. The cats are housed in large rooms, NOT in small cases. Their adoption center is clean, well maintained and recently remodeled. I would highly recommend visiting Valley cats if you are interested in adopting.

I adopted my Houdini from Valley Cats as a kitten. I already had two other cats under a year old; one had very high energy and needed a friend. Valley Cats allowed me to take my time to find the right companion. The facility is cageless, very clean and comfortable. While there, I immediately fell in love with my Houdini as well as the staff. Peggy is funny and has so much wisdom to share. I highly recommend Valley Cats to anyone wanting a kitten or adult cat companion.

I am not sure if it’s because I am young or something up with the front desk lady but I was immediately judged and even chuckled at for coming in wanting to adopt. I didn’t know what cat I was interested in I purely wanted to see if I had a connection with any. The environment was horrible and I did not feel welcomed. If you have any interest in taking your cat outside, to the beach, on hikes or purely on your back patio they will send you away immediately. Do not come here if you are purely trying to adopt out of love for cats who need homes because their rules and regulations are incredibly strict.

My first visit to Valley Cats Rescue was eye opening. I had only been to animal shelters before and all animals are in cages. Not so with Valley Cats. Cats and kittens are in rooms (unless they needs to be isolated briefly). Rooms that have cat trees, beds and room to run and play. The people who work there and the animals are happy and healthy. All the cats are loved and taken care of by compassionate volunteers who are there working because they care about and love animals.

I have adopted 5 cats from valley cats over the years! 2 kittens in 2009, 1 kitten in 2011 and 2 adult cats in the last 2 years. Every time I have been blown away by how healthy, well taken care of, and amazing these cats are. You can tell that Peggy and all the volunteers take such good care of these cats and that they are well loved. Any reputable rescue makes sure that their cats are going to good homes, and I appreciate the time and effort that Peggy goes through to make sure that kittens go in pairs or to a home with another young cat, and that all cats are going to indoor only households. Their facility is clean and they are very upfront and honest about the cats personalities and health histories to make sure that you are finding the perfect cat for your situation. I 💗 Valley Cats and all the volunteers who take such good care of the cats waiting to be adopted! I would very much recommend this rescue.

I do not recommend adoption from this facility.
I fell in love with and took home a kitty that I wound up paying over $1,000 in vet bills on within the first month. Turns out the kitty had a broken pelvis that did not heal correctly. When I talked to the lady who runs the facility she admitted knowing about the health condition. It was never disclosed to me.
When I returned the cat, the lady who runs the facility had gathered all her employees around her in a show of intimidation. I should have sued them as I was out the $1,000. I told her she should not let this cat go again without full disclosure.
Please consider avoiding this facility or at least ask if there are any health conditions you should be aware of before taking your forever cat home.

We just adopted two adorable cats from Valley Cats today. We saw cats from several breeds and ages...all of which were in excellent health and very friendly. Peggy and her volunteers were extremely helpful and patient with us. I'm very happy to have found Valley Cats...I highly recommend them!

Peggy is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY RUDE i walked in with my 10 year old daughter with autism daughter we filled out the adoption slip and they rudely denied it and she raised her voice at my daughter who just wanted a emotional support cat and went ranting about how she wouldn't adopt my daughter if she were a cat
