If I could give one business 6 stars, this would be my pick.VCA Westlake Village came highly recommended so we decided to go with it even though it's a bit far from our new home. Plus, we know and trust VCA (shoutout to VCA Animal Specialty Group) and their expertise.Everyone and everything at VCA Westlake Village is top-notch. From Shiela at the front desk, to Matt the technician, to Dr. Steve and Dr. Deul-- everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Apologies if I forgot to mention someone else. The same goes for the facility and the exceptionally convenient hours of operation.Between VCA and Trupanion (our pet insurance), we know that even the inherently stressful experiences of visiting a vet can make you feel like your fur children are in good hands.

Finally a reliable vet in the valley!! Dr. Namakato did an amazing surgery on my older dog's teeth. My dog is 11 and has a heart murmur - we were not sure about putting her to sleep for a surgery - he did a great job with her anesthesia. She's much happier now after her diseased teeth were removed. I trust them 100%!

They worked it out to get me in to be seen by a vet within 24 hours. Other vets didn't even give me that option and they were vets I was going to a long time. Good care at an affordable price.

I have been coming here for over 10 years with my cats. The staff are caring. But it is difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner AND the biggest issue is cost. They have tripled their prices in the past year and it is ridiculous to pay more for labs and xrays for a pet than it is for myself.

The service at this hospital is exceptional. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and caring. I have been a client for many years and I wouldn't entrust anybody else with the care of my beloved Husky. He just had another anesthetic procedure done here. I always get continuous updates. The treatment and follow up home care are explained in detail. I can always call with questions and get an response immediately or at least the same day. My special thanks go to Dr Rosenstein and Heather, the hospital manager, for making me and my pup feel important and cared for.

I understand that time is valuable, but I can't fathom why a short (<5 minute) phone call asking whether or not they euthanize would be met with such rudeness and insensitivity. It's already devastating coming to terms and deciding to say good bye to a friend, this treatment from reception is not only unprofessional but cruel.

Been taking my dogs and cats to Westlake VCA for almost 20 years and every time I leave I question why I go there. I wait forever, their prices are very high, and the vets are in and out as fast as possible. I can’t even remember the doctors names as they always change and they barely spend any time with me and my pets when we are there. This week I brought my mastiff in for arthritis. The doc gave her a physical, blood draw and some meds and gave me a $700 bill. Two days later my dog is in pain and having diarrhea and discharge. I called to bring her in and they told me that even though they were open for four more hours they didn’t have any appointments for the vet to see her. I asked if I could swing by for 2-3 minutes for a quick look and was denied. I will never go back. This place is the worst. I suggest finding a good local vet that cares about your pet instead of this high priced factory. Your pet, your family and your wallet will appreciate it.

Dr. Steve Rosenstein is my dog's vet for almost 30 years. Steve is Kind, responsive, compassionate, and truly cares. Never a rushed feeling. It oozes from him as you express your concerns about your dogs. The front office is attentive and on the job. Vet Techs are also warm and caring.

I am a foster for Southern California Pit Bull Rescue. I have brought my foster dog Peanut here once for the rescue and now as his actual foster mom. I am extremely impressed with everything about the hospital, from the phone etiquette of the office staff, to the front desk reception, physicians and techs. Everything ran on time, and everything was explained to me in detail, patiently along with providing me with a detailed set of discharge instructions. Everyone was cordial, friendly and polite. I highly recommend this hospital.

Dr. Cole is a horrible doctor. My 6 month old puppy was having severe lesions on her face and around her eyes. I asked to be in the room for any exams due to her being scared and they took her in the back "only to weigh her." 20 minutes later they called me back into a room where I expected to see my puppy but was met only with Dr. Cole who informed me he did an exam and performed a scratch test. ear her eye, which I did not consent to and wouldn't have. They not only didn't let me be in the room with my scared puppy, they lied, and performed a scratch test I had to pay for without my permission. I no longer go to VCA for anything as they do not take the time to give pets what they need. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

This office placed me and my dog in an examination room and then the technician came to take my dog to the back of the office. When I inquired about why they were taking him the tech said in a condescending tone that it was about COVID. They still do the physical exam on the dog in the back of the office. A protocol put in place for COVID years ago. Then the vet came to talk to me, but still did not bring the dog. I love the veterinarian, but I'm extremely disappointed with the business policies and procedures of VCA and the attitude with which the procedures were communicated as well as the added stress on my already older and ailing dog.

My vet of 35years retired and i was looking for the best place to bring my sweet girl . My first visit for blood test and exam with the vet wasn't a good experience For my dog . I wasn't informed that they were going to catheterized her and for 10 mins I could ear her been tortured. The bill was arrageous. 2 weeks after I called to schedule the teeth cleaning and was told that I needed to repeat the test again because that I should have scheduled right away now apparently the tests are to old. After complaining about this all practice she said that she will ask the dr to do and ekg instead . I ask her about the price , she didn't know . She call back to let me know that the dr is ok with that. My husband and I went for the test and we scheduled the dental cleaning . The day of the procedure I dropped my little girl early in the morning. A young men came to open the door. This men was very angry. no good morning and he was talking like he was annoyed. There was a young women at the computer she dint even looked at me. After filling up the papers I ask about the time to pick up my dog I was flabbergasted by the aggressive ton of voice of that men I than ask him if there was something wrong he than answered that he has no emotions that he dint care . I told him that I didn't understand what he meant by that so he repeated the same non sens sentence and left with my dog. I stood there for few minutes and ask the girl that was still looking at her computer like I was invisible and requested for her to go to the back and bring me back my dog . I precised that I dint feel comfortable to leave my dog in the hands of such people .she said "" ok"" and gave me my dog. Nobody from that hospital called us to find out what happen , nobody questioned the missed appointment. i had never in my life been treated with such rudeness , imagine what's going on with your defenseless furry friend when one of those " I don't have emotions, I don't care " is having a bad day.
