I had a chance to try some of their ice-cream at a party. It’s one of the best Vietnamese ice cream bars I’ve had in a while. Red bean and durian were my favorites.

Today bun bo was not tasty at all. Super oily than usual, bland and was not good. The only thing was good was the banh beo. I guess it's one of those days it was a hit or miss. Still gave them a star for fast service and they give lots of veggies compared to other places. Their chili is SPICY, which I love

Coming from SGV we do not get this type of Vietnamese food often. They have Authentic Hue region foods I have never tried. Parking was good on the day we came. Thursday dinner time had a good amount of customers dining in. Service was lacking so minus 1 star

Guys! Please don't go to this place! THEY REUSE THE VEGETABLES FOR SURE the service were bad. Food were bad and I saw them save the vegetables. For sure they reuse it. I have heard some friends told me about that so me and my boyfriend just wanna do a test to make sure it is right or not. We came to the restaurant and asked for bun bo. We asked the service to make out vegetables is cooked. They said that they can't do it. WTF lol how come they can't do it? Just cook the vegetables in hot water for 5 seconds before they serve it. But they refused us! Next, I saw the waitress clean the table and saved the vegetables. Why do they save them? For what? For sure guys, they reuse the vegetables! Even though they washed it before serving but that is illegal guys Could anyone call the food checking county come and check this restaurant please! This is un acceptableeeee Again! They REUSE the vegetables of the customers

Don't know why and how people gave this place high score ratings ? Customer service is lack, we don't come and check on your table or refill waters unless you wave and yell for 5 mins. They come to you with grumpy faces, I feel like I annoy and bother them. Cmon I pay for my food, I don't come begging for free food. They prices are not cheap compared to their low quality food. I ordered Bun Bo Hue and Banh Nam, and I could only finish 1/3 of the food because they tasted yucky, this place is the worst Vietnamese restaurant that I have ever tried. Don't believe my words? Come and try yourself and you would have to agree with me.

We finally made it here! Arrive by 11 am and there's no wait! For sure order the Bun Bo Hue - Love the soup base! Not only that but the noodles were fresh, the meat AND the pork feet was tender and soft. I got the mild spice level this time and it was perfect but for sure will get the 'regular' next time for that extra kick! We ordered Banh Bo Lot to go and smells delish! Can't wait to try. Also bought their house made Cha. Wrapped in banana leaves in small little packets. Will return for sure! Lastly, two thumbs up on the bathroom: they have bathrooms designated for each gender! No sharing! And amazingly, there's toilet seat covers....now that's unprecedented indeed!!!! Unheard of at a Vietnamese restaurant.

My favorite place for bun bo hue but the service isn't all great...like many other Vietnamese restaurants, staff aren't trained. One time a waiter brought our food out and his thumb was inside the edge of the bowl touching my soup. Argh who knows where that thumb has been? Another time there was a little green caterpillar on our veggies.. overall I still come here for bun bo and hoping the owner will read this review and change things up a little.

I think they reuse untouched vegetables. I saw the worker cleaning up a table, putting the dirty dishes on the cart and dumping leftover food in the trash, then a lady came by and picked up the plate of vegetables and brought it to the back or the kitchen. That makes me wonder, did she bring it to the kitchen so could rewash it and give it to the next customer/table to eat? Okay they cleaned it but how many times a day did they do that? Is this even right to be doing that..? I don't know but that's so wrong to me.. the vegetables are not even that costly.

My family and I have ordered from Ngu Binh for years!! I've ordered Banh Canh from them multiple times and have never had this happen. This time I ordered To-Go and 70% of my order is just soup without the noodles!! What a rip off!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Plenty of much better Vietnamese restaurants in the area. See video for evidence!

I've been going here since I was little and their mi quang is to die for. Its not the same as it used to be in my opinion. The noodles used to be more vibrant and crisp when I was younger. It's still the best mi quang I'll ever try compared to other restaurants. I really like the cha they use in the bun bo hue that's something that hasn't changed. Their banh beo Chen is still pretty stellar. It's sad that the amazing taste isn't as I remember it to be as a child but this restaurant is still one of my favorites. I've tried mais kitchen and other similar places but this place is still my number one spot for hue food!

Looking for the best bowl of Bun Bo Hue in Little Saigon (and therefore America)? Look no further than Ngu Binh Restaurant. When dining at the notorious Ngu Binh restaurant, the mystery isn't what to order but rather, simply, "Large or Small?" There really is one reason this restaurant is packed day and night, rain or shine: Bun Bo Hue. It's the spicy and savory Beef Vermicelli Noodle Soup made with a fiery Red Chili Oil laden Broth sporting cubes of Sweetbreads, Seafood Meatballs, and hand chopped Pork Knuckles. If you ever want to shake a deep chill instantaneously -- order a large for $10.95 (cash only). It comes with the essential pile of fresh Mint, assorted Herbs, slivered Banana Blossoms and Sprouts for you to suit to taste. In other Vietnamese establishments, the heat of the Bun Bo Hue is at your discretion one way or another (some have a scale from 1 to 10 and other have mild, medium, or hot). The base level is usually very mild. At Ngu Binh, however, the stock base level registers somewhere around 5 or 6. Looking for numb lips, a scorching tongue, and intense sweat? Just find the little jars of Red Chili Sauce and whole Bird's-Eye Chilies on the table. May God have mercy on your soul. The service is sound for the genre but those that do not frequent Little Saigon often may feel ignored if you do not waive down your server for refills or other needs. It is customary to do this so don't be shy. Ngu Binh Restaurant is a national treasure and a must-have for any culinary adventurer looking to up their Vietnamese game from the same old Bahn Mi, Spring Rolls, and Pho thing. Make the stop.

Drake - Best I ever had. The reason this place gets five stars and keeps me coming back is their Mi Quang (Dry noodles) is impeccable. I have tried many other restaurants' Mi Quang and it just does not compare. Once this dish gets served to you, make sure to mix up the dry noodles with the concentrated broth at the bottom. This broth is just full of pork flavor and has just the right amount of spices to that gives a nice kick. Proteins in the dish contain sliced pork, shrimp, and fish cake - all very fresh. The dish is topped off with lettuce, peanuts, and a fresh crispy rice cracker (Most restaurants rice cracker is either stale or hard). Also, their bun bo hue is good as well. Again, great tasting broth with just the right amount of chili and hot spices.

Definitely long overdue since my family and I have been going to this place for at least 6 years. This is a very authentic mid-central (hue) Vietnamese restaurant. For the most part, friendly staff, fair service (depending on how busy they get), and CASH only. I ordered: Mi Quang (Dry Egg Noodles with pork, shrimp, and fish cake): it's a Vietnamese noodle dish made with broad, flat egg noodles. It is usually served with shrimp, thinly sliced pork and fish cake. There's also assorted vegetables consisting of romaine lettuce, mints and sliced banana blossom and lime to garnish. Noodles are cooked perfectly with delicious marinated meats and an overall savory meal every time. Banh Beo Chen (Steamed rice cake): it's one of Vietnamese popular appetizers served in small dishes garnished with minced shrimp, crispy pork rinds and green onions. Chili fish sauce on the side. Made fresh and delicious! TIP: go during off-peak times or weekdays if you can to avoid waiting for a table, which is usually 30 min to 1 hr plus parking tends be really difficult during busy times.

My family's go to spot for BBH and banh canh. The parking lot here is TERRIBLE so you will need patience in finding a spot here. But service is quite good for a typical Viet/Asian restaurant. I always get BBH here and they are one of the few restaurants where they offer non-spicy BBH for the wimps or the children. The bowl of noodles always come out steaming hot, which can be a hit/miss for other BBH restaurants in OC. I love the generous platter of assorted veggies they provide for you. In addition to the BBH, I also love the banh beo (12 small dishes), so go try that if you want some savory snacks/appetizers. Price difference is $1 btwn regular and large sized bowls of BBH but tbh, the regular size is more than filling for your average stomach.
