Through more than 15 years, I've used my credit card to purchased thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise from the Sam Ash Music Store on Beach Blvd. in Westminster. And, I've never had any problems. But the staff has changed. On February 19, 2024, I visited the store and selected a keyboard and stand, along with a piano bench and sustain pedal. It totaled up to $731 + change. I explained to the young salesman that it is a gift for a lady friend, and I wanted it to be registered in her name. So I gave him her phone number for the records and instead of using my credit card I paid with cash. He went through the motions of ranging it up the sale, but failed to give me a receipt. When I asked him for the receipt, he insisted he already gave it to me, and I must have lost it. I searched my pockets, the boxes and bags containing the merchandise and I also searched my car but found no receipt. I returned to the salesman, who took a long time to acknowledging me and told him I wasn't leaving without a receipt. He insisted he gave me a receipt, so I asked him to look at his records to find the sale and give me another. He typed in the phone number I gave him, and nothing came up. I asked to speak with the manager and waited more than 15 minutes for the manager to show up. When they looked more closely at the sales history, the records indicated that the sale never took place. Of course, he couldn't give me a receipt because the sale was never logged. At the end of the day, the cash register would have an extra $731. However, that could be easily remedied by diverting the money into the salesman's pocket. Anyone experienced in retail sales, of which I'm one, knows that this kind of scam frequently takes place, especially with cash purchases, because without a receipt there is no way of tracing the sale. I gave this merchant one star, because there is no selection for zero. Sam Ash is a store that provides lots of good products for comparable prices. But employees at this location are corrupt and not trustworthy. For anyone interested in purchasing musical equipment, I suggest you buy it elsewhere. Otherwise, you stand a chance of being scammed by dishonest people at this location. Danny Y. I totally agree with your review. The employees are extremely slow and rude. They seem unhappy and emit negativity with lack of concern for the customer.

Terry the guitar technician was great! As he worked to string my son's guitar he explained the rules and techniques to string the guitar. I appreciated the insight. He shared some stories and his background as he carefully strung the guitar, which made the proces go by quickly. Thanks again Terry, great job! I definitely recommend visiting the Sam Ash in Westminster for their knowledgeable, helpful. and friendly staff.

After being in the store for 15-20 minutes, we were not approached by any employee for assistance. The moment we asked someone for assistance, the employee seemed tired and in a bad mood. I tried to ask a question regarding products and was ONLY given the answer "I don't know anything about this department." Instead of being offered assistance from someone else within the store, I had to ask them myself if there was anyone else who could assist me in the department. Right when I was about to leave, an employee acknowledged me but sadly not to assist me, but instead to ask me to place my bag at the front. As a customer I felt a bit uncomfortable considering there were no obvious signs stating to place bags up front. As a result, I kindly stated that "I was on my way out anyway." If you need anything, I recommend shopping online or visiting a Guitar Center which offers better customer service.

This was my first time at Sam Ash music and I was really impressed by the high quality of service I received from the movement I entered the store. I came in to purchase a couple of harmonicas and ended up buying five! I highly recommend this store!

only came here once and it left me with a negative impression. I was browsing the pianos and testing them out but this dad and his kids came in and started creating a huge ruckus. They were running around with the stroller, yelling, mashing the piano, and playing with synthesizers very loudly. I know the employees noticed but not once did they bother to try telling the father if he could get his kids in check. They were almost running into people and even my mother with their stroller. The employee kept helping the father with selecting a piano but didn't even bother to try stopping the chaos that these kids ensued. I'm hoping I can have a better experience there because so far I still like Guitar Center over Sam Ash.

Great place for your musical needs! I love going here for when I need some new piano theory books! They're always fully stocked with the popular ones and have a decent variety. If they don't have the particular one that you have in mind, they're willing to order it or tell you which other locations do have it in stock. Finding my book was easy and the checkout process was simple. They also signed me up for rewards and gave me a tiny discount which I really appreciated! Nice atmosphere and very helpful employees!

Jake in the Lessons Dept. was extremely patient and courteous on my last visit (Aug 14, 2023). He gave me a good feeling that, in this instance, Sam Ash appreciates their customers. Good Job, Jake!
