Hey this place is really, really great. Kind folks working here and clean, well-kept facilities (bathroom, eating room, deli). The deli food was outstanding. Stayed here before doing Lost Coast and craved the sausage croissant sandwich for days. When we finished the hike we returned and got the sandwich. The staff here helped us with a couple of little snags we had and were friendly and kind. Definitely stop by here/stay here if you can.

I recently had the pleasure of staying here and it exceeded all my expectations. From the breathtaking views to the delicious food and the incredibly helpful and friendly staff, every aspect of my experience was 10/10.First and foremost, the location is simply unbeatable. Situated right by the ocean, I was treated to views of the ocean right from our rv. Waking up to the sound of crashing waves and being able to step outside my RV to feel the ocean breeze was amazing. The sites were well-maintained and spacious, allowing for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The park also offered clean restroom facilities, a little store and a restaurant. The best part, however, is the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Whether it was recommendations on what to see, or simply a friendly chat, they were always there to help. Their dedication and friendliness truly made me feel like a valued guest. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this park enough. The incredible views, delicious food, and helpful and friendly staff make it a truly unforgettable experience.Oh and there was a beach right there we could walk down and see seals!

Hectic road in. Locals drive too fast. Don't bring an old vehicle in here it will overheat.

So first time through service was slow and burger tasted not fresh and like it was microwaved. Second time through the teller put my ticket under the counter. Not sure because of lgbt dislike or a mistake hard to tell. But as I was the only one of 11 people that this happened to well it can be said. Anyways, the $5 Gatorade and $20 po boy... and the $20 burger the first time through...I was probably better off with the refund.Food & drinks: Being your own food.

jack, the camp, store, & deli owner and host was incredibly gracious and a willing helping hand when our motorcycle got a flat tire in front of his place this past sunday morning. shelter cove is small, gorgeous and isolated. there are no repair services. he volunteered the use of his air compressor and pitched in to help repair my tire. the patch held for the 600 miles it took to ride home. thank you.

Went only to the deli, so I'm not sure about the campground, but the food was food, nothing bad, nothing outstanding. It was pretty expensive, and it took a while to get our food and they had even forgotten to make part of our order. Other than that, it was a pretty okay experience. The atmosphere was really nice and everyone seemed pretty friendly.Walkability: It's all walkable from the two nearby hotels and it's a nice walk to and from overall!Food & drinks: Nothing to really write home about.

I have not been to the site yet. I called and left a message, they returned my call as soon as they opened, the same day. They were very nice and explained the road coming down, about the property, and communication was very clear. From just the initial call it made me want to camp there :) Thank you for providing such wonderful customer service!

Beautiful view, beach. At end of small plane runway. Road difficult. Winding, and steep, tight curves. Make sure to down shift.Nearby activities: Beautiful large beach.

Best view overlooking the ocean! Walkablee to the lighthouse, the deli/store, beach and many local businesses. Local roads are a bit scary coming into the cove for RVs.

The campground is right across the street from the beach. Pelicans and sea lions hang out on the rocks just off shore. The setting is really perfect. Wonderful sunset views right from the campsite. It is well worth the drive on a somewhat steep, windy road to enjoy this place! We had full hook-ups for our camper van.The staff persons who I interacted with, Barbara, Sara, Mike and Jack, were all extremely helpful and friendly. I definitely am looking forward to returning to this campground.

Stayed 3 nights in this RV park and had a wonderful stay. Had electrical, water and sewage hook up. Propane available. Bathrooms were very good -- well maintained, clean with warm showers. Friendly staff. Fantastic view of the ocean. Road is a bit windy and steep but no problem with our camper van. Good beer selection in the shop. The fish & chips here in the deli are delicious and BETTER and loads CHEAPER than the brew pub close by. Fried butterfly shrimp are awesome too. Definitely recommend this place for the RV park and/or the deli restaurant.

I drop by the deli store for lunch on Saturday. I got some butterfly shrimp fries and 6 oysters. They are playing live music on the stage. People are enjoying the food with music and ocean breeze. It’s so peaceful and great experience. Of course food was great too. I highly recommend to try grilled oysters! Some of them are so huge. It was the biggest oyster I’ve seen so far. Family friendly and bath room also clean.

I totally understand that they have to bring the products to shelter cove so there will be a mark up, but wow this place is outrageous. Selling $1 store items for $4 or $5 seems extreme especially since dollar store quality is usually not very good. I would definitely recommend making a drive to the market over this place. They have name brand items and yes still a bit expensive but not like this place!
