I called AME at 4:30pm on a Saturday with an urgent medical supply need, and Jason answered the phone. That was the first surprising thing since these days it's so hard getting to a live person. He politely quoted me over the phone and since I was coming from nearly 30mins away, he said he'd be willing to wait for me past the 5pm closing. We got there a few minutes after 5pm, and he still patiently answered all of our questions. We didn't feel rushed at all, and he didn't give us any attitude when we still had a bunch of questions. He even called his boss to ask if they could make an exception to their return policy in case it didn't fit (they couldn't). Jason is seriously a refreshing face to the retail sales experience. This guy should get a raise! Thanks, Jason.

We were new to dealing with a bone fracture and required a boot. The doctor provided us with a list of locations to choose from. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong one. Initially, I left the patient in the car while I enquired about the prescription. The person who assisted me, I believe he is the owner, stated that it wasn't necessary to see the patient. The boot proved to be too much for the elderly patient, so we returned to see if there were other options. Unfortunately, there weren't, so we returned the unused item. The boot was partially paid for by Medicare and we paid the remaining amount out of pocket. We were advised that processing the return would take around a month. This occurred four months ago in April, and we still haven't received a refund. They charged Medicare $300 and us $60 for a product that was never used and was not properly fitted. I plan to contact Medicare to discuss this further. I wanted to share this experience to caution others.

I do not write reviews, but I have to write one to thank Lorena for such great customer service. It has been so difficult to find a competent company to help me with the process of getting medical equipment for my aunt through Medicare! She explained the process step and step and was very patient and understanding. Sent me information I needed through email and left me her contact information in case I need to reach her. That to me demonstrates her concern and takes her service and skills to another level. Thank you!

My family need some medical items for my father that got discharged from the hospital. We were not ready for him to be sent home. I called and spoke with Tyler. He advised that the were open. This being the day after Christmas. AME had everything we needed. Tyler went above and beyond. He delivered all the items that we purchased. Tyler and AME are the best. Very pricing. Would not shop anywhere else.

Very greedy people! My insurance covers 100% for breast pump. But the still insisted on charging me for it. The price I was to pay is more expensive than buying it out of pocket. No insurance should recommend them for any product.

My parents were here visiting from out of town and forgot to pack some needed colostomy supplies. Tyler helped us and knew exactly what we needed. He gave us 2 of the colostomy rings needed at no charge and told us to have a Merry Christmas. Thank you so much for helping us in a time of need. Would definitely come back here for needed supplies and would highly recommend them.

Buyer be aware Can't return items even if they recommended and it was not the right item. Should have clearly said that when I was purchasing it. It was not even something I picked, it was given to me by their employee. Wish it wasn't so, but Amazon would have taken it back. Really wanted to help a small business. Won't be back ever.

Company has still not delivered the equipment ordered bu my mother’s doctor. No one calls with updates or timelines. If someone does call, they don’t leave a message. The order was received in July but nothing has happened.

PRICE SWITCHERS** July 29th - I called to get a price on the rental of an over-bed trapeze. I spoke to Jason, who immediately stated that he needed to put me on hold to check the rate and whether they have them. When he returned to the phone, he said that they did have them. I confirmed that I needed one that to use with my mother's adjustable bed. He confirmed and quoted me a monthly rental price of $95.99 for the trapeze, $49.99 for the base. He asked if I would like delivery for $45.00, which he mentioned could be delivered the same day. We agreed on the price, and I requested delivery the following day to allow me time to move the bed, etc. He confirmed. And said they would be in contact to let me know a delivery time. Fifteen minutes after my call with Jason, I received a voicemail from Tyler, the manager who called to inform me that the actual price for the trapeze would be $230 per month. When I called back to ask about the HUGE price increase, Jason told me that the computer inventory system was not accurate and the available inventory was for a $230.00 trapeze, not the $95.00 one. Jason began to seem annoyed when I explained that he had specifically checked on rate and inventory before quoting the rate. He then said, "If you don't want to pay the $230, then don't rent it!" I asked to speak to his manager. Tyler, the manager, came to the phone. I explained the situation in detail. Tyler said he understood how frustrating it must be and that he would look into it further. I asked Tyler to help make it right as I still had a few days before my mother's surgery, and perhaps he would have equipment returned or could find the $95 trapeze at another store where he might have a good relationship. He said he would see what he could do and call me back in a day or two. NO RETURN CALL! To make this even worse, I mentioned the situation to my father, who then informed me that he had a similar experience with A.M.E. in April when he rented a hoist. They quoted him one price and then called back to change the price. My father was desperate and accepted the higher rate. I am a clinician and have worked with several senior service agencies in the area. Rest assured I will warn everyone I know to avoid A.M.E. July

A million words could not explain how grateful I am to Whittier AME. From the moment I stepped in and inquired about my urgent need for medical supplies and equipment, I was met with knowledge, professionalism and excellent customer service. On top of that, a genuine sense of care. I shopped other suppliers in the Whittier area and they couldn't come close to the level of service I received.
