I should have read the he reviews. My dog went in for ear infection. The nurse didn’t even take the time to start the medication. They diagnosed my dog and sent him home to be treated. Never had I paid for just diagnosis and the medication. All vets seen in the past did some kind of treatment on site. Bad pet service.

This hospital used to be amazing they saved my dogs life. Unfortunately the service has gone to shame and its impossible to set an appointment in a reasonable time span ( week and a half - 2 weeks ) I had to cancel me wellness plans and move to a different veterinarian. Its a shame!

We've been clients for over 10 years. The original location inside Petsmart in Whittier was really convenient and we had a number of vets who were pretty good for our dogs. The move to Whittier Blvd next to a budget hotel and liquor store was bad. Not a particularly safe place with glass from broken loquor bottles a routine find. Addtionally, the pandemic practice of dropping your dog off and never meeting with the vet is not good. There is zero relationship with your vet. I could complain about cost but I think that is all vets. Having said all this, I still trust the vets and the staff is generally polite and nice even. I still recommend them but wish the location was better and more of a relationship could be created with the vet.

Just called to see if I could bring my dog in because he seems to have severe constipation. His tummy is hard and he is uncomfortable. Banfield said I can’t bring him in right now because they have to neuter a dog. I am a palled as I pay for the premium wellness plan monthly, but they can’t see my dog who is in pain because they have to cut another dogs balls off. Talk about money hungry. Thanks for nothing banfield. I guess I’ll pay for a second round of help.

The doctors here have been seeing my pet for years. She is a little reactive around other dogs and some humans, and the staff have been very accommodating in keeping me and my dog feeling safe and comfortable during our visits. They also offer the rattlesnake vaccine which has been hard for me to find another location that provides it.

Banfield Whittier has the best staff! The technicians and doctors are very knowledgeable and provide exceptional customer service. The team is very welcoming and informative. What I loved most is that they immediately knew what my pet needed upon her trotting on in. The drop off appointments make it so easy for me to leave my pet allowing the team to provide the care my pet needs and in great care as I'm not too keen on boarding facilities. even my precious pup gets excited going in! Thank you Whittier!

Okay, so I have a grumpy cat (orange tabby) and I know that lots of vets have more experience with dogs, and I know that this location is VERY VERY busy and they are all trying their best. My cat is 7 years old and has urinary tract issues. He started bleeding one day and I took him to this Banfield. They told me his anal gland burst due to him not being able to express it. I took him in and they had to give him an extremely heavy sedative. The reason for this is because he can be very reactive. He'll hiss and try to bite, and I mean, a stranger is grabbing/poking and his owner is not there. They did the surgery and everything was fine, but his recovery was strange. He's has invasive surgery before, but he was so different after this one. They also had him in his kennel for about 2 hours before he was seen. I had warned them he's reactive, as I have to medicate him before I take him to the vet. They said it's fine, but then called because he was reactive. After 2 hours, medicine is going to wear off!! I felt in my gut something was wrong, and I looked through his records to find out he also had a UTI. I was NOT told this. I called and asked them what happened why wasn't I informed. The vet said I was sent home with antibiotics that would treat the UTI. Since my cat has had several UTIs further testing is always needed to determine medication. He was still suffering from a UTI for a couple months before I took him to another location. I was so upset with their oversight and the vet had almost nothing to say. They noticed I took him to the Eagle Rock location, WHICH I LOVE, and they've been calling me the past couple days to "check on Honey". I don't want anything to do with this location.

Great staff and excellent services provided for our pets. They work very well with us on scheduling appointments and emergency visits. They also offer pet medical insurance which has saved us a lot. Thank you Banfield

Vets fine but they only offer drop off. My dog has to stay there all day for a routine check up.
