Very bad location for car rental they they make ads on Expedia. They have special offer on the car and book the car and I drove with Uber for 30 minutes to pick up the car when I get there they say they don’t have it and they want to give me regular car with a regular price which is double the price they put on the Expedia website when I ask him why he said this is what they have. I told him why you keep the offer Expedia if you don’t have it, you didn’t give me an answer so it’s kind of a bite on Expedia to get you to the office looking for the special offer and then they say you need to get the regular price kind of scammer They have a special prices. Once you are there they say they don’t have the special so they want to take regular price which is the double price of the offer kind of scammers be careful with them.

The Assistant manager who helped me at the Signal Hill location on 01/05/23 (I wished I remembered his name) was so pleasant and helped me get me in a Tesla rental while my car was getting repaired, which was a fun experience. Turned it back in at the Whittier location because that’s where the Assistant manager worked at. Overall this was my first experience renting with Hertz and I will definitely come back! Thank you!

Hertz Whittier delivers 3rd world service. The manager Jose is incompetent and does not care about customer service. He blatantly added false charges from previous renter.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been the absolute worst car rental experience I have ever had. I was told that they do not do pick-ups when I was told by an employee at another Hertz branch that they do. When I took an Uber to get my vehicle, the lady I spoke to when making the reservatioin said I would get a $20 Uber credit. Upon arrival, the staff said they knew nothing about that and did nothing. The staff member and I then walked aroudn the vehicle, he went over everything, including the gas tank being 1/2 full and told me to ensure I returned it as such. I did. When I received my invoice, I was charged a $60 FOP fee, which they claim I agreed to. I did not, nor was it ever mentioned during my rental process. Customer service refuses to help me. They say it's my fault and won't reverse the charge. I will never rent from Hertz again. Absolute zero customer service or care whatsoever.

Poor customer service!!There is one guy all the time so lazy to do his job . Also I rented a car was so dirty inside & outside I found a lot of dog hair . First & last time at this location

This was my second time renting a car from Dave. He has made my life much easier when needing transportation. I Will only come here & will refer everyone to do the same.Upon returning the car on a busy Monday morning, with people either returning or picking up cars, Edwin was ever so courteous to the people on the phone. Like many other businesses, he could have easily said Hold please, and continue with the next person.But didn't he listen to their concerns & extended customer service values that most people do not, while still helping me.Good job multi tasking!

Bad customer service, I placed a rental reservation before reading these reviews so next day called before to make sure my rental will be available in time for my 10am. I was told car was in stock but not guaranteed by my pick up time, he blamed it on the holiday but based off all these bad reviews it seems they have a holiday everyday with this same issue. All they had to do was give me an exact time to pick up the rental, not this we will be ready when we are ready service, as customers we have our day hectic as it is with work and coordinating a drive over because we don't have a car, we need exact times, get your business in order. I was also looking to book for a month since my car is getting a recall fix, they lost good business.

Great customer service! Called beforehand inquiring about a rental and Edwin suggested we come in around 2pm. Got there and a rental was ready for us! He showed us the vehicle and we were out within 30 minutes! Thank you Edwin for your great customer service. We appreciate you! We'll be back soon!

This hidden gem in Whittier has the best team working here. Dave gave exceptional customer service during my car rental and was very helpful and professional in giving me the best rate. Dave was very professional and friendly and takes the time to help. If you rent a car in the future, ask for Dave. Good clean cars too.
