Jose has been a godsend to us in what has been a construction nightmare. We have been dealing with contractors that took on a job and to find out they didn’t know what they were doing. Jose could see we were struggling with our job and helped us so much picking out stones and what we needed for the job to get done right. Definitely ask for Jose when you stop by this store. Best place to get your building materials from rock, brick, stone, sacked materials, veneers, and gravel. They also stock stepping stones and decorative rocks. Also, they have the experience and knowledge to help you with your projects.

Buying 1 bag of cement should be pretty easy right? Wrong. Paid for it but waited 20 minutes for someone to grab it for me as it was high on an outdoor shelf and no one was available to help. Heard employees in back tell each other they were on lunch. Ended up just getting my refund after wasting my time out there.

Their signs reads: Mon - Fri 6:00 - 4:00 pm. and when we got there at 3:40 pm it was closed. This wasn't the first time they close early. Shame!

Buyer beware, prices increase hourly to daily......I will give them 1 stars as they are the only game in town, and I have tin the past when I needed rock their prices were fair, but that said they can be evasive not answering questions about pricing, and to make matters worse joking in a flirtatious way, that I believe most women don't need. Here's my last experience with them.... My contractor sent me here to see 1 !/2 inch brick pavers, we volunteered to have them loaded in my partners pick-up, so here I went to check out color of bricks, they only had 3 choices, but hey I could live with that, I asked price range before I went back to look at color I was told nothing over $1. Each... ok fair.... Then I go buy one brick in a dark gray to check it out with my home and its $1.09 plus tax.... And when if I want my contractors discount it will be triple price, this is all well and good, meant to be funny, we laughed and asked for real price, we're told nothing, repeated question is side stepped they are closing, when my partner goes back to find out price next day he is told his 10 percent off is better then contractors discount, really?, oh and don't forget tax and restocking fee for pallet if we bring it back, and wait now 700 bricks at 1.09 each comes to almost $900., oh no wait its because of all the fees , upon further question and quote with discount it will be $765. Wow, thank goodness for that military discount, you decide, again only game in town, but why harassment and why fees, I don't need nickel and dime for a hundred or so just give price, don't sound like you like disabled vets or any vets and don't charge your contractors more, again your decision if I had more time to shop around I would pay more even and go elsewhere. They are not business like or professional. I just wanted a price and a total that made sense. Oh and make sure you get a quote and use it as their prices go up daily.....Last thing they also charge sales tax on pallet deposit, I suspect, from talking to city of Whittier, this is money is not given to the state or city as its a deposit.
