Started well by fixing my car then I did some electrical work for for him to help him out, after I solved his problems he avoided me for 2 weeks and acted like he didn't know me even after improving his shop so he could work on cars more efficiently, this guy is not a honest person and his word means nothing, this is not an Exaggeration this is true story his Son Isaiah is more of a honorable man than Johnny

The' WORST mechanic, business, human, I have ever dealt with, ever. Go here at your own risk. Yet I highly suggest you don't. That's the overall point of this review and if you want to know why then keep on readin. Also, this is a late review but out of curiosity I decided to see where this place was, review wise. And seeing that another unlucky individual has fallen victim here has left me feeling I really should have wrote this sooner. Left my truck here to get a complete engine rebuild and was quoted almost half of what every other place I've called quoted me. And I called a lot of places. Over the phone Juan aka Johnny the owner's communication was horrible. But I decided to go here anyways since I was running out of options. In person he was fantastic, or so I thought. He played the part very well. Convinced me that he was going to give my truck a great engine rebuild and even work on the clutch, for an incredible price and in a short time. All he needed was a down payment. Red flag! When I received a parking ticket by mail 2 weeks later (another red flag) I called and Johnny said "Go ahead and pay the ticket and I'll deduct it from the price of the rebuild." Guess what? He didn't. My truck was here for a month and he did absolutely zero. He even lied over the phone when I called to inquire about where he was in the process. He said he already had the engine out and was currently working on it. At this point I was highly suspicious of this guy and decided to check it out in person. I popped the hood and the engine was still in it's original place. I walked across the street (yep he had it parked across the street for about a month) and told him to just cancel the whole job and give me my down payment back. As well as reimbursement for the parking ticket he caused by leaving my car parked in a street sweeping zone which is on a side street of his shop. Two weeks of excuses over the phone of why he didn't have my down payment followed by "Call back in a few days" finally lead to me getting my money back. Except for the 60.00 from the parking ticket. Another 2 weeks of calling about that and I received some of the most random excuses ever. "None of my mechanics showed up today so I don't have anyone to go to the bank to get your money" or "I don't have the money today cause I'm at the dentist". I finally asked him if he was actually planning on paying me back or was his plan to continue making excuses? His response was "I don't need to deal with this Sh!+". Followed by him hanging up on me. I immediately called the Bureau Of Automotive Repair and filed a case with them. I even mentioned that after looking into his business license that it was expired the whole time he had my car. You can search for that information on the B.A.R.R. website which I didn't realize till after the fact. Sadly I never heard back from them, or The Better Business Bureau. And going to court over 60 bucks just seemed like more work then I wanted to deal with at the time. All in all this place is the absolute worst. I'm sorry for posting this a year after the fact but from the most recent reviews it looks like nothing has changed.

Johnny's the real deal. His prices are reasonable. He will explain the problem. Fix the problem. He will stand by his work. Any issues? He'll work with you to resolve. It's a small shop with many happy customers.

Johnnie is the best!! Hes knowledgeable, honest and fair on his prices. I made a mistake by using someone else and he knew right away what they did wrong and fixed it. I won't use anybody else.Services: Brakes

I took my 88 Mazda B Series for a Motor rebuild. I called for quote before I made any decisions on where to take it and went based on the reviews I saw on Google. When I spoke to Johnny he told me that they would charge me $1,350. For a full motor rebuild. I was like ok that's not bad at all. So I told him I would drop it off in the afternoon. I left it there a month later I started to wonder what was going on with the truck because I have not heard from the mechanic. I passed by his shop and saw the truck outside in the street and wondered if he had already done any kind of work to it. I decided to give him a call and follow up because as a customer I am the one needs to follow up with the mechanic apparently. So I gave him a call and asked him about the truck and he was confused on to what vehicle I was talking about. I specifically asked gave the details on what vehicle it was and some he did not recall what truck it was until he remembered. We spoke and he gave me some excuses so I let it be and went with it. Some more time went by and I received a parking citation in the mail. I read and it was my truck that has been at the shop for now like 3 months. I was pissed off I decided to call him and ask him wtf why am I getting citations on the truck. He responded with oh yeah we lefted on the street once on street sweeping day. He said go ahead and pay we will deduct it from the price of the job. Some more time passes by and I get another one. I was so over it to point where I just wanted to pick up the truck and take else wear but by then the motor had already been taken out they just left the shell out in the street. I finally received my truck back like 6 months later and ranned good for like 3 days then it started to have miss fires. I wanted to take back to him but he kept making excuses. I ended giving it to a buddy of mine and he figure out what was wrong with. My point is that this shop is not reliable and full of excuses. I wanted to understand the mechanic because I have been a service advisor at a pepboys service before but I couldn't cope with his customers service.
