Now the story: in the midst of wedding planning and looking for a florist, we found ourselves at an impasse with a florist that had been recommended to us, but was prioritizing their own desires and opinions over what we wanted for our wedding day and how we wanted to make the day reflect ourselves (such as table centerpieces).

On a friend's recommendation, we reached out to Uniquely Chic and chatted with Leah. Leah was immediately more open to what we wanted from our wedding and what kinds of floral arrangements we wanted. Her flexibility and openness immediately sold us on wanting to hire her as our wedding florist.

Fast forward to wedding weekend. Leah made sure we had all the flowers we needed for what we wanted to make ourselves, and absolutely nailed it for what we asked of her. My wife was in LOVE with her bouquet, the pieces for the ceremony were absolutely gorgeous, and the boutonnieres and corsages were perfect. We were even able to use some of the centerpiece florals for my bride's hair! She delivered to the venue on time with the courtesy and professionalism one only dreams about. As a result, our wedding flowers were never something we had to worry about, an absolute relief in the chaos of wedding planning.

Leah was communicative and super helpful through the whole process. She was easy to work with and flexible with our requests. She gave us advice when we needed it (such as when she had ideas to make the boutonnieres more resilient to hugs). We got endless compliments on how everything looked. “Before I get started on our story, I want to say that working with Bevess Floral was amazing and their flowers were incredible!

I got married on Sept. 28 and met with Bertha in April. My husband and I wanted “tropical” flowers for our wedding since we love visiting Costa Rica but we knew it was going to be super expensive. We got married in Gualala and asked a florist there what she could do for tropical flowers: she quoted us 10k for bud vases (omg). We did not go with that individual.
When I typed in “tropical flowers Santa Rosa,” Bevess florist popped up and so I reached out to see if they could make my vision come true. I scheduled an appointment to meet with Bertha and Tanya right away.

My husband and I went to visit them in person and right away we were met with smiles and laughter. Their location is kind of a “hole in the wall” so I admit we had some reservations. But when Bertha walked out with some sample flowers, we were convinced! Now English is her second language but since we are learning Spanish, it was fun to practice! After agreeing to do work with them, Bertha gave us the sample center piece for free (what)!

A few months go by and I’ve communicated what I am looking for: 6 center pieces, 2 pieces for the arbor, 3 cocktail pieces, 4 bouquets, 5 boutonnieres, and 2 corsages. ALL FOR A REASONABLE PRICE! They worked with our budget and I can tell you it was a LOT LESS than 10k. We were so surprised how affordable it was to get that many pieces with tropical style flowers! The flowers included: bird of paradise (heliconia), ginger, orchids, anthurium, lilies, and even roses. Just take a look at the pictures and you can see how gobsmacked I was when I first saw these beautiful pieces!

We decided to pick up the flowers ourselves and bring them up the coast to Gualala so Bertha and her team were kind enough to show us how to install the arbor flowers as well as did their best to make sure they were as beautiful as the day they were put together. We picked up Friday morning for an afternoon wedding the day after. The flowers were incredible.
