The customer service was great, clean store. Fairly empty so you'll get the help you need. My main issue, they didn't price match three product I wanted even though it states that on the website.
I went to the store because they had the product I wanted in stock. It's been in stock all week but for some reason it couldn't be sold to me because it was still in packaging in the back. I asked if I could take the floor model for a price match tag and it was denied. Usually, floor models are discounted. Anyways, I went home and ordered it on Amazon and they price matched it as well as their brining it to my home and building it for me for the same tag price.
This is the reason why people don't go to stores anymore and business like this may fail. They lost the sale because they didn't want to give me the competitive price. If I was the manager, it would've been an easy win to get rid of the floor model and get the sale. Instead you allow the customer to leave to purchase elsewhere that will not only honor my price match but also build it for me, and it's being delivered next day.
2 stars for the customer service.
Minus 3 Stars for bad business.
Note: A consumer goods store should focus on selling and turnover rate of products instead of nesting them for an ideal sale. All week I knew they had 3 in stock, when I got they made up a story saying they just recieved it and couldn't get it out. To me, that's just lazy and this is the manager telling me this. If I was the manager and focused on my money I would've got that item for them regardless of the location, whatever to make the sale. They told me to come back, but why would I waste my gas.

DONT BUY ELECTRIC TORO
Brought a electric Toro Mower in for warranty repairs.
Service tech decided to bend the metal handlebars back into its original shape and did not replace with new while under warranty. Well here i am with the handle bars bent again.

Garrett at Windsor: great selection and you find hardware other store does not carry, that is true!
But what makes this store great is the people working there: friendly and helpful.
And then, there is the power tools department...
They are fantastic! Very professional, it means very knowledgeable and sincere. Their will accommodate your needs with no pressure.
A real pleasure to go there, whether you are a professional or not.

Garrett Ace Hardware is well stocked and organized. They're always very helpful. When I need help identifying or finding something, Associate Adam is usually in the aisles somewhere. He is a wealth of knowledge about the items for sale and their uses. He's friendly and has a great sense of humor too!

It's certainly not your Big Box Store, but they're handy in an emergency, and they have a lot of uncommon hardware necessities.

Been going into the place sometimes twice a day for 20 years. Seen countless employees come and go. They have a new "No back pack" rule and since getting my E-bike, I've rolled in a couple times wearing my back pack since I know all the regular employees so I didn't consider it was an issue since I'm a regular....but wait.....I forgot about my brown skin...... (My blonde white wife rolls in there with her big satchel without issue) ...Anyways, the arbitrary nature of certain rules effect some more than others in todays world, in spite of how well employees know you. The first time I was stopped, the interim manager insisted following me around the store even though she admitted seeing me there almost every day. Last night, I stopped in quickly to grab a gallon of muriatic acid.... A nice elderly man was looking into their inventory when the zoftig, white manager demanded I leave the store....(who's personally seen me in there countless times) Refusing to leave until they checked inventory to save me an extra trip,...(they were closing in about 15 minutes and I might have been the only customer there...Didn't see the problem)....The manager quickly called the sheriff to have my brown a** thrown out of the store....which they expeditiously did.... I'm writing this because I'm so tired of being racially profiled in spite of being a prominent business owner in Windsor and have earned the respect of those who know me...and don't focus on my skin color. I did remind the manager that every single photo on their "wall of shame" (photos of customers stealing) have white faces and in spite of his own skewed morals and folkways....is inversely profiling the pigment of the skin I was given. Just a sad true story. Do with it what you will
