* BEWARE* HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY. THEY BREAK THINGS AND NEVER GET BACK TO YOU ON IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALREADY COLLECTED PAYMENT.
So I used this service recently. At first I thought they were great. They called and answered all my calls because they wanted my business. After, it was a whole other story. First, they were late on the moving day. They said it was due to traffic which was ok. Then when they got there the movers were nice, but two of them from a 3 man crew were kids or teenagers. They were very young. The move was fine until I saw them wrap these lamps all together in a box. I asked them if they thought they should do them individually and they said no. So ok, in they went. When we got to the new house they started unloading. I found it odd and unprofessional for the main guy to ask how much my new house was. Then he asked if i could order lunch for them on uber eats (he said he didnt have the app) It was fine, but I thought it was a little odd. When the lamps got to my house, sure enough one was completely broken and wouldnt even stand anymore. Mind you its matching set and now I only have one. There was a thing on the bottom of the am that held it together and that was completely broken and the rod was bent a little. The main guy said he would fix it or reimburse me. I also noticed one painting (which was my favorite painting) that had a gash and color on it. He also said this was going to reimbursed.
I paid them at the end and told them they could come back to pick up my empty boxes and a couch (they wanted). I was very nice. I kept following up. I called Corina a few times and asked when they were going to come and also about the reimbursement. She kept saying she needed to get back to me on that. Then she completely stopped answering my CALLS, EMAILS, and TEXTS.
I have repeatedly tried reaching out to come to a resolution, but to no end. I am writing this now because I ave given them over a month to answer and just DO WHAT IS RIGHT. So please beware if this company and what they claim.

I’m surprised about the 5 star reviews here. They must be from Family and Friends. Having worked with movers as a professional organizer, and move facilitator for 20 years and I know good movers. These folks are NOT! I hired them a couple of weeks ago. 1. They lie about everything 2. They don’t show up on time. 3. The crew they send may or may not be experienced. Part of my crew was - I tipped them all VERY WELL because I understand they are not paid as they should be. It took an extraordinary amount of time for the whole process….(padding the bill), and costing me far more than it should have. Because they were late and lied to me about why, I missed out on work and therefore the day was twice as expensive. The owner is arrogant and rude. When you call you will be drawn in by the sweet voice of the daughter of the owner. Beware: she will tell you whatever you want to hear, but hold you hostage in the end charging far more than expected. BUYER BEWARE THIS COMPANY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

What a great team this company is.. Very easy scheduling process. On the day of the move, the crew were on time, helpful, friendly and did everything with a smile. They were so willing to help. They made a stressful event very pleasant. I'm so happy to have found this company. I hope not to do it soon but when I do have to move again, I'll definitely be reaching out. Much appreciation!

When I couldn't pay a different amount they threw my property in the garage and broke along of family stuff that cannot be replaced

I did not use their moving services however I saw them at the storage facility helping their clients and there were other people struggling with a piano and these wonderful men went to help without even being asked. They were so kind and generous with their time and strength . So thankful to have witnessed that day. Will use if I have have a need! Thank you and I should have sent this sooner!

I will only use Family Moving Services for all my moves. Attention to detail, care when handling delicate items, quick and efficient and affordable. Highly recommend. Plus I refer them to any and all who are moving.

This moving company damaged a door to the apartment building that I work at, while moving in a resident a few months ago. I first called them by phone, to alert them to the incident. I spoke with a representative who gave me their email address, and asked for pictures, information, etc. I then sent them the email with pictures, and an offer for them to come out and take a look at the security camera footage.. ( I did not have the capability to send them the video footage... so, I offered to meet with them, and show them the video footage in person at the property. ) I was told I would be contacted, and all I was asking is that they pay for the damages and cost to fix the door ( $200 ) as the door had to be taken off it's hinges, re-hung, new screws and sanding down of the damaged door as well as re-painting it. After several attempts to contact them, they "ghosted" me,, and to this day have never gotten in touch with me to get the situation resolved. I would be cautious about using them for your move.

FMS is great to work with. They are good with communication leading up to your move. Could not have asked for better on the day of the move. Our move had something a little different with one pick up location and 3 drop off locations and the staff worked with us without ever pushing back. Can not recommend FMS more for moving needs. Will defiantly be using them in the future if I move again. Will recommend them to family and friends. Thank you

READ BEFORE GOING WITH THIS COMPANY. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. RUINED MY FURNITURE, LOST MY ITEMS, STOLE MY CAR PURCHASE DOCUMENTS. Where do I even begin here. I am someone who never leaves reviews whether good or bad. I am so stunned by the unprofessional service that I feel like only potential customers should know. My move was scheduled for 9am on Aug 9th, moving not even one mile down the street. The movers blew up my phone at 7am to wake me up and ask if they can come earlier because they were trying to squeeze in another job after me. Corina told me via email that the price includes wrapping of all furniture, that they can put my furniture back together if disassembled. Not only did they rush me so they can go to another job, they told me they don't have time to assemble my furniture which is false advertising. They accused me of denying them protecting my items.I couldn't believe that I got to my new place to find half of my furniture ruined beyond repair. Not only did they not wrap my furniture let alone my TV, mirror and fragile bar cart, they had the nerve to tell us we told them NOT TO! They accused me of not being at the move when I watched the movers remove every piece of item from the original location. The biggest problem I have is how Corina only listened to her workers and accused me incorrectly of facts she had no idea about as she was not present. They scratched my office desk, my leather seats, my dining table, my nightstand. They DID NOT have the courtesy to even reply me until I emailed them 5 times of where a sentimental painting was. They found it a week later. My folder of my car purchase with highly sensitive information was stolen from my night stand. Maybe they even dropped it in the streets and someone else has possession of it now! I can't forget how they lost half of my vacuum and also left one of my expensive big house plant in the service elevator! I know people are human and things may not be intentional but I cannot believe how they deliberately ignore me, can't admit their wrong doing and then falsely accuse me based on what their workers say. BEWARE, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They will leave you without answers if anything is stolen, missing or ruined. Yes they thought refunding me was the answer, that is terrible customer service as this service has caused me more time/headache than the cost of the move.

Family Moving Services is AMAZING. They were a huge help to our middle school with moving into our new location. They were so professional and so fast! They took care of our equipment like it was their own. Definitely would recommend! HUGE shoutout to: Javier Porras, Juan de la O, Jessie, and Kevin. Those guys did wonders for us!
