“The meat here is high-quality and they also have a great selection of cuts. The owner is a great guy, always super friendly. The workers behind the counter (3 women usually) need a little more skill handling customers. I would say hire one more, very detailed worker to deal with customers the right way and keep the business performing well when the owner is not there. Still giving it 5 stars because of the quality of meats and the owner.”

“The male cashier that works days and evenings is friendly, kind, and a provider of excellent customer service. Occasionally, there's also a very nice female employee working with him too. I breathe a sigh of relief when I go in there, knowing I'm not going to be treated so disrespectfully like I am when I go to Jon's, Chevron, and Arco. I'm sorry IDK the names of these 2 nice ppl working at the Liquor Store. They should provide customer service training to Jon's, Chevron (the worst customer service ever), and Arco. God Bless both of them. ??”

“Smart & Final (Mason @ Sherman Way): Convenient location. But the driveway into the parking lot on Sherman Way is exceptionally hard to spot & easy to miss, especially when being tailgated by people who think you're going to turn right on Mason. The lot itself is big. Because there are no tire stops in the spaces, it can be chaotic with drivers cutting across lanes/spaces, loose carts blocking open spaces, & poor parkers taking more than 1 space.Like many markets now, there's 1 door for entry & 1 for exit. Frequently, there are no carts available at the entrance because they're either in use or still in the parking lot, loose, or in the racks. Better to grab yours from the lot. They're big and mostly not wobbly. The market interior is voluminous. The aisles are sufficiently wide, though sometimes there are displays that become chokepoints for customers going in opposite directions.As expected for a full size supermarket, the product selection is far superior to the specialty & outlet groceries in the area. But note that there is no butcher or deli counter. Prices are generally still slightly lower than other nearby full size supermarkets. Store brands have come a long way. I especially like Smart & Final's "First Street." The 3lb roasted chicken is a favorite. $8.99 for 3 days of good eating for a single like me!The 1 unhelpful worker I met seemed to think that distilled water (out of stock) is something snooty or exotic. He kept pointing me toward purified water, which isn't suitable for ironing or Keurigs. Then he told me to go to stores on Ventura Blvd (a more upscale area). No other unhelpful or grumpy employees have been encountered.”

“So I'm going to be very honest I went here to get a henna tube to practice and I called to see if they had it in stock and when they closed. They answer super quick while other stores just leave me ringing on the line. I went in 2 days after I called and he remembered me! I don't believe he has many customers so I really recommend coming here especially with covid and everything happening. The only reason I took off one star was because the henna tube was pretty small for 2.99 while I went to another and got a way bigger one for the same price. Still will come here though!”

“I saw the lottery sign while I was riding my bicycle during the cicLAvia rainy Sunday event. It was too cold to get a drink and I just purchased some scratcher lottery tickets. They have a lot of products on their shelves to choose from, the cashier was friendly.”
