Fist time coming to this place. Decided to try some cheese from Cremeria. The guy on the counter packed it in 3 layers of plastic (I asked him not too, but he still did it, now I see why), so I couldn't see the quality while I was in store. Here it is: the whole piece is full of nasty mold, smells like wet socks. Called the store right away: "they can't do anything". I'm living an hour away and they ask me to bring it back. 1/10. Don't recommend this place!

I go to this place once a week but I will never walk in this door again because leaving there today I was thrown flat on my face and put in handcuffs and I was asking why the whole time the guy was ruffing me up putting on handcuffs. HE would not answer me until he pulls the receipts out of my pocket for every single thing I had bought and said sorry and didn't say another word this guy was totally out of line and I will never go into Vallarta again so be careful sending your mom or some older person there they might be throwing on the ground without even being asked and who knows don't in jail only excuse they had is oops.. I'll get a picture of the security guard and post on here so everyone knows to stay away from that guy because he should have his security badge taken away because he don't know what the f is going on

Your customer service is substandard. I called last night to inquire about an item which is called rompe pecho. I called at 9:30 p.m. on Monday night and it took 20 minutes for someone to answer and then I got hung up on I called back again and I inquired about the item and I told them that I was going to come to get it. Because on your outgoing message it says that you close at 11:00 I show up at 2 minutes to 10:00 p.m. and you already have closed the doors and there's a security guard telling me that you closed. Aside from the fact that it took forever for a responsible employee to answer the phone and answer my question, the employee I spoke to failed to tell me that you close at 10:00 p.m. even though you're outgoing message says 11:00 p.m. which apparently she was not aware of but for me to show up at 2 minutes to 10:00 and the doors are closed, that's very poor on your side therefore it reflects pretty bad and below standard on your customer service. So I was disappointed and got in my car and I called at 10:02 p.m. to find out why they did not inform me even though I was told them that I'm going to drive 5 mi to get there and she started conversing with another employee or a manager or whatever in Spanish and then she hung up on me that's double crappy customer service

Super friendly and helpful employees! I found exactly what I was looking for. The store is clean and there is plenty of parking. I can't wait to go back. A neighborhood gem!

Bathrooms were appalling. Both the mens' and women's restrooms had sh*t-stained toilet paper, littered in piles next to the toilets.

Great pork rinds and friendly staff! Only drawback is the prices have increased quite significantly, pork rinds use to be $8-9 per pound and now $13

Customer service was amazing. My order was not complete for a service and Tony was wonderful, kind and caring in getting my order done and delivered in time. Excellence customer service and I can't even begin to thank Tony enough. He saved the day.

I am appalled. I needed assistance getting a cart (they were out) and was told I could grab it myself from the parking lot, while literally standing there.. DOING NOTHING.

I usually come to vallarta to shop and is greeted nicely but today was the opposite. The cashier ambar seemed upset or something was wrong not only did she not greet but didn't even bagged my groceries. She just gave me the receipt and began to charge the person behind me. I had to ask for a bag and she just gave me this bad look while I bagged my groceries. Horrible customer service.

Vallarta is one of the cleanest and organized market in the valley but, disappointed with their service- they don't say anything all, didn't great us even when we tried to ask someone, we stood there for 10 minutes before another customer walked in and said something in spanish then she took our order. We decided to try the chicken burrito a la carte for $9 you get a few tortilla chips without any salsa or side orders, the chicken burrito was huge with a lot more rice than meat - definitely not worth the money.

Great prices and a lot of selection. I stopped in to buy seasoned chicken to bbq and it was on sale. I got 5lbs for $13. The chicken is so tender. I went in the morning and the market is super clean. There's a ton of options at the food court. The fruit drinks are amazing. I also bought a ready to go shrimp cocktail. I prefer this location over the one on reseda. There's plenty of parking here

Vallarta supermarket on 19725 Vanowen st , Winnetka CA MANAGEMENT DISCRIMINATED WHITE CUSTOMERS WHO DIDN'T SPEAK SPANISH!!!!! Today is 07/30/2021 Saturday I stop by Vallarta store to purchase S.Pellegrino mineral water . 4 cases on top shelf and 2 cases by single bottles. I nicely asked worker to help me load sealed cases to my shopping cart. Floor manager Eduardo told me that it's absolutely impossible to purchase 4 cases 12 bottles each.On my question why not he said "because it will be not enough for other customers!" Really? If I willing to purchase something for sale and not able to do that just because manager in bad mood or simply didn't like white customers who don't know Spanish, I think it's DISCRIMINATION CASE ! Some supermarkets placed note "limited 1 bottle per person" or other notes with any kind of limitations. That store should place note: "If you are not Latino we will not sale for you whatever you want to purchase!"

I have been going to various Vallarta Supermarkets for MANY years but in recent years have been going to the one in Winnetka because of the ample parking. I am able to get in and out in a decent amount of time and the store keeps good inventory of the items I need...this is comforting during a pandemic. I have noticed a hike in price for their meat and poultry. They do have a spread in the products they carry which are covering more hispanic / latin american cultures and that is a plus. The produce prices are reasonable but Trader Joes has similar prices and fresher produce. Overall, I would give them 3 stars. But it seems that they are "rebranding" themselves or catering (or appealing) to another market sector because they are only playing ENGLISH music, even the announcements are in English. En serio Vallarta? Que les paso? Honestly, why the sudden music selection? Have you lost sight of your identity? I supported them with my business because culture is important to me but I will take my money to their competitors with stronger, deeper roots. And because of this I will give you one star.

I normally don't go in to Vallarta only when I need to get a few latino products that I need. I like to browse around and look at new products. So I take my time. I notice a security guard watching me as I was walking around the isles I felt as though he thought I was stealing made me feel very uncomfortable. Also I think the girls at the front could be a little bit nicer to older people like me it would make me feel much better if they greeted you with "good morning how are you ". Otherwise the store was clean an organized. I hope I have a better experience next time.
