AC in rooms are either excessively noisy or smell horrible. All other restaurants nearby I tried were much better even at lower prices. Staff was friendly, and the facility is fairly nice with vaulted ceilings, but just the poor room quality and poor restaurant takes all stars away. Bread served is worse than the 50% off bread at the store being sold on the last sell before date and the chicken for their pasta dishes was as dry as precooked chicken from Costco heated up in the microwave. The restaurant down the block for a lower price served a filleted whole piece of chicken tender and juicy with their gnocchi dish.

A nice hotel, beautiful but prepare to be disappointed and hear a lot of "I'm sorry, no" responses. My family and I stayed there for a wedding and I loved how the hotel looks but I was let down by almost every aspect of it.Let's start with the rooms. They are clean and very spacious with very tall vaulted ceilings. The rooms are almost bare with how big they are. Bathrooms are clean and well appointed. I had to sign a "No Party" waiver lol.Food. The wedding was catered by their internal kitchen. Many people were forced into the chicken (which was a little dry) because "They didn't prepare enough steak". I asked one of the employees if there was more coming out, "I'm sorry, no".We found an outdoor bar and that was pretty cool. It had a nice view of the Winters area. The drinks were a little pricey but that's to be expected. A bunch of the wedding party loved it out there but they ended up closing the bar 30 minutes early. We asked if they could keep it open until closing time..."I'm sorry, no".Ok, well there was a bar downstairs so we all went down and hung out there. Same story as the restaurant/bar was closing up 30 minutes early. I asked the bartender if we could hang out until the advertised closing time of 9 PM..."I'm sorry, no". (You can see a trend). At this point I was getting kind of annoyed. I asked the bartender if we can just buy a bunch of canned drinks and luckily she would allow it but you can tell that she was crazy about it as multiple people had to ask REALLY nicely. So after that several of us went outside (it was a nice afternoon) to the pool area and sat in the chairs by the pool. At 9 or so they turned off the lights and the fountain on us. That was the Hotel saying "I'm sorry, no" haha. There was also this one person at the front office that had the worst RBF on earth. This guy completely came off like this was the last place he wanted to be and helping a customer was not his jam.In closing I probably won't be back. However I have to give our wedding bartender props. She was friendly and handled her business like a pro.

We just held a meeting here for a few days, I cannot say enough about how amazing this hotel was. Everything was pristinely well kept, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and they have plenty of meeting rooms. Connie, the sales person was fantastic to work with, every single staff we came in contact with was professional and friendly. The food was excellent, banquet staff did a great job on our meeting buffets and breaks. Special mention to Victoria and Dave from the event staff. Plenty of parking in rear of the hotel and on the side. My ONLY complaint and it doesn’t lay on the hotel side is that most of the restaurants and area closes at 9pm on week days - so if you’re there with a team and want to drink late, you’ll have to grab extra drinks or bottles of wine from the bar and take it to the patio or lobby. The hotel has a strict policy on no parties in the room (which I appreciate). Definitely coming back!!!!! Cute little town!

This place is not worth the price. After we unpacked for the 2 nights, we found that the AC/Heat unit did not work in our room so they had to move us to another room. We needed to repack and unpack again. The chair we had in the room we moved to was also very unstable while working on my laptop computer. At that point, I was too tired to complain about it. When we returned from a long night at a wedding, our room was not cleaned and the beds were not made. They did bring in new towels but our trash was not emptied and they were full. As far as amenities, they have a fridge but no microwave, and there is no coffee or breakfast offered in the lobby (besides the limited selection of coffee pods to make in your room), but there is a connecting restaurant to buy coffee or continental breakfast. Otherwise, you could go out in the town for a full breakfast. Also, there is no 24/7 room service like in other expensive hotels. We should have stayed at the Fairfield Hotel by Marriott, which is only 5 minutes away and at half the price with a complimentary full breakfast and an indoor pool (I lap swim 3 times a week). A few family members were staying there and loved it. Rooms include a fridge and microwave. So, next time it's the Fairfield.

I highly recommend this really nice upgraded hotel! But last year we stayed and they had super nice touches that kept us coming back. And now we were surprised that they don't give out their bottle of wine, Aveda products, and the hotel last year smelled so good like a spa! But this time none of that. We had complimentary glass of red blend, and the waterfall outside was wonderful as we sat and enjoyed our wine before meeting our group At carbones restaurant. That's a great restaurant plus the drinks are spot on. Cheers but please bring back the awesome aromas. Oh lastly is we check in four and that was late for us. But we get there's a shortage of help. Cheers

Desk clerk barely looked at us. No one said, "Welcome". I am elderly and no asked if I needed help with my luggage. The rooms were clean but barren. One desk chair and one side chair. Just a QR code for the hotel restaurant. There was a spa connected to the hotel but no information about it in the room or anywhere. It seemed as if none of the hotel employees had any hospitality training. The staff was not friendly. We checked out a day early and the desk clerk did not inquire as to why or whether we enjoyed our stay. The building was clean but the bed was made without mitered corners so when you opened it the whole thing came apart. It's in a great location and the town is sweet and friendly but it was a little depressing to be at the hotel.

The rooms were simple and large. The hotel was more like a boutique hotel tucked in a small town on the eastern fringe of wine country. Nice restaurant attached. A couple of other nice restaurants in the downtown area as well. Very clean and new. Winters is a quaint little town with a revived downtown area.

For the price you pay, (nearly $300 for a night stay) you’d think the front desk would be more prepared and hospitable. Checked in and the receptionist had no idea what she was doing. She had to call someone else and get step by step instructions to figure out how to check us in. She said she was “just covering for someone on their break.” We nearly missed out on our birthday dinner reservations as we stood there holding our bags while she tried to figure out how to get us our room (asking us multiple times if we were checking in)… strange. Later, we asked if they had a corkscrew to open a wine bottle. We got told to go ask the restaurant down the hall, (front desk receptionist was sitting down doing nothing). We walked over and the waitress there wouldn’t even make eye contact with us while we asked. She told us to go down to the bar and ask. Bartender was polite. Then we asked the front desk if we could sit outside and use the heaters since they don’t have a hot tub. She told us someone would come help us turn them on (keep in mind she was still doing nothing else.) Took more than 10 minutes waiting in the cold before their engineer came (he was nice). Rooms were decent and the bathtub took about 30 years to fill with very low water pressure. Air conditioning barely worked and walls were very thin. Parking is pretty much non existent for the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here again but mostly because the lack of front desk hospitality. Considering the price customers pay, the front desk could be more helpful.

This is a very lovely hotel. I love that you can check in early through your phone. The rooms are very nice. It's in walking distance to some quaint restaurants.

For the price this place blows, the host was rude when we checked in, the closet doesn’t fit hangers, the air conditioning dripped all night, the restaurant is closed for breakfast, the housekeeper must have been on strike, and they don’t even have a vending machine. Thank god the Fairfield is finally open!

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms, lobby and common areas area all very fancy! The staff was friendly. Everything was very clean of course and the night was not too noisy. I'm not giving them 5 stars, because I feel that for the price breakfast should be included. Also, depending on what time or day you arrive parking can be very difficult to find. At night I was able to re-park my car in the hotel parking lot, however.

For the price, on top of how nice this place seems, you would think they'd off the basic amenities....Nope. My room was a single king bed but there was not microwave. The tiny little Keurig coffee maker didn't work and the worst part was that there was no breakfast offered at the hotel. The only "breakfast" option you have is the sad little barista bar in the restaurant. All they offer are some scant coffee options and some pastries... That's it. Very disappointed... I would not spend the money for this place if you were here for work. Over priced and did not live up to the reviews.

The space and rooms are well created with the exception of lighting of the rooms. Each room is huge and oversized, so spacious that it needs some extra furniture for a standard room, krug coffee in room. Main issue is lack of lighting for the room as there aren't any central lights and only 2 lamps. In my friends suite, the chandelier os gorgeous but there's no switch to turn it on. Overall service from reception was lacking, website booking didn't work, communication to the spa to book à treatment using a promo that went woth the booking was not accomplished, the restaurant is awful.
