I really wish people were more considerate when leaving reviews since many of us look to them for experiences and guidance and make sure they’re specific to the care they received. My review is mainly for the neurology department. My dog was diagnosed with IVDD. I was told by my vet to contact ACCESS for neurology to have an MRI done to see what’s going on with him. When I showed up for my appointment, the staff helped me carry my boy in since it hurts him to walk around. The reason for our visit was the amount of pain he was in, painful to sit, painful to walk. He couldn’t shake anymore, was walking with his head lowered, and started to buckle his right paw when he would stand. Dr. Egnor was kind and thorough. She explained everything to us and what she believed is going on and later called us back to review MRI results which confirmed everything we discussed earlier. He had a herniated disk in his neck that was pushing on his nerves causing pain. They scheduled him for surgery the next morning. I’m so grateful for this team and knew I was making the right decision trusting him with their hands. Front desk was great too. I asked my bank for a credit increase which they did but not to the amount I had requested. I was short on my bill and the team let me pay a lower amount to ensure I was able to cover surgery for the next day. My favorite thing was that Dr. Egnor consulted with others on her team to confirm what she believed was the issue and right course of action. It felt like a team diagnosis.Day of surgery: Dr. Egnor called me before to explain things and shared how he did the night before. Tony texted me before surgery was about to begin. The surgery took a long time, I think about 4 hours? but Dr. Egnor called me as soon as she wrapped up so I wouldn’t worry. She let me know that she didn’t find anything weird and that they got a lot of disk material out. Everything else went well and they kept him overnight to make sure he was doing okay, breathing well, walking on his own, etc. He ate dinner and I called overnight to check on him and they said he was doing well, just sleepy and that he had walked with some support. Communicationhas been great overall.Pick up: Dr. Egnor called in the morning and let me know I could go see him around 1:30 and if he was feeling good he would be able to go home later that day. They also let me drop off a t-shirt that he could keep after surgery. When I went to visit him, everyone was very loving towards him and he was happy to see me and moving around. He looked so good and happy and wasn’t in pain anymore. I’m so so so grateful. He’s at home now and recovering. I bought him a play pen to keep him confined. He’s eating and taking his meds well. I’ll update this in a few weeks with how he’s doing.

This is a great emergency Veterinary Hospital. Every employee that I have encountered has been very calm, sweet, professional. They have helped us through some really tough experiences.Additionally, they were absolutely amazing and so respectful, and sincere when we lost our baby girl Willow. Thank you so much for helping her to pass peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, in her bed.Thank you for helping to make one of the most painful expierences of my life, a smooth one, at the very least.

It's never easy to find out your best friend is terminally ill but the staff guided us with compassion, care and understanding. We had to drive 3 hours, each way, to find a neurologist who could see us immediately and I would do it again. If only this team was a little closer to home, I would recommend them to everyone. I don't have a whole lot of time left with my dog but they made him as comfortable as possible. Even sending me a good night picture and kissing him on his furry little head. May you never need their services but if you do, do not hesitate to contact them.Shout out to Ashley at check in and Josh in Neurology. You guys are lovely humans.

There are no words to describe how thankful we are to the whole team at ACCESS. We unfortunately had a severe emergency with our puppy at 6am on a Saturday. We frantically drove around calling places to no avail. Ended up finding Access, drove 35 minutes and they were ready for him.Soon as we showed up they came out and took our pup. They got him stabilized and kept us constantly updated. It was such a hard couple of days without him but we knew he was in great hands with their doctors, criticalist and nursing team.Thank you doctor Egner, doctor Pearson, Mandy and the whole team for treating our puppy Lincoln like he was your own and saving his life.I hope we never have another emergency incident, but wouldn't hesitate for a moment telling friends and family to trust you guys with their pets care. Amazing professional team.

All staff was professional, welcoming attentive. Their check -in system is easy and expedient. We walked in with an emergency situation and were seen in a reasonable amount of time. Every step was explained/clarified. Doctor consult was very professional and thorough. She shared results of preliminary examination as well as the various options for treatment. We NEVER felt any pressure to choose any expensive treatment & doctor stated several times that there was no right or wrong answer if suggested treatment looks to be too expensive for us. I highly recommend this facility.

From 7pm to 3am my dog was not ok has diarrhea, was vomiting and they run blood test 2 times, the machine results were 0% not working so labs not done, they let my dog all this time there only they evaluated him at the beginning he had blood on his eye, injured by playing with another dog, short long history nobody gave me any updates for 3 hours with the excuses they were very busy, then before 3am they said he was stable gave him antibiotic ointment for his eyes, a painkiller and sent him home, by the way they charged me more than 800 dollars for nothing. NOT COMING BACK NEVER AGAINWe aware and be very careful with your pet diagnosis and and your money. My advice stay far away from this kind of place

Firstly,I want to address that it’s hilarious that ACCESS is only responding to the positive comments. Wow, A+ for customer satisfaction and care. This is the worst hospital that you could ever take your pet to. We had taken our German Shepherd Bella to this hospital about a year ago To get an MRI and She was then diagnosed with IVDD. The neurologist insisted that she needed In order to be able to recover quickly And not become paralyzed down the line.We had done the surgery And we thought everything was OK but things got worse very quickly afterwards. First of all they messed up on some thing during the surgery and my dog had more disc collapse, they gave absolutely no proper post surgery care and they didn’t even check in to see if she should be getting other types of treatments to help the only thing that they called to do was to check in to see how she was doing right after the surgery and insisted that she come in for an epidural shot. They didn’t even suggest for us to take her to physical therapy but upon doing my research that is something that is highly recommended for dogs after having this type of surgery in order to properly heal and learn how to walk .Fast forward six months our dog unfortunately lost control of Both of her back legs we had taken her to physical therapy on our own accord and the place that we took her to was absolutely amazing, it’s called CARE, in LA.This place was amazing and they had gotten a wheelchair for my dog and all was well, as well as it could be for her now being paralyzed from her waist down due to the mess up on the neurologist part at this hospital.Unfortunately, Bella has had several UTIs as a part of her condition with the IVDD and we have given her several different types of antibiotics that our veterinarian( from a different place - Aloro pet hospital- they are also great!) and unfortunately the medication’s were not working so our doctor recommended that we go to ACCESS for our German Shepherd to get a ultrasound because they did not have that equipment there and that they had to prioritize her because she was a patient with them a year ago and that her UTIs are a direct relation to the surgery that she had for her IVDD.So we had taken her to ACCESS on our way there we had told them that it was an emergency and we needed to check what was going on because our dog was bleeding nonstop from her private area and the person that I spoke to promised me that if we got there by 4 o’clock the ultrasound technician would be able to do her ultrasound. On our way there call us back and let us know that they can’t guarantee it but that we’re more than welcome to come and wait and see, please keep in mind that I just had to put my half paralyzed dog in the car and transport her all the way to this hospital which is nowhere near my house I was extremely upset and told them that I was promised and that I have been rushing over there due to the fact that I was extremely worried and that my veterinarian recommended that we rush her over there to see why she is bleeding .Once we arrive and get our dog checked in the ultrasound technician leaves one hour later during this hour they could have easily had her checked but they claimed that they had more urgent cases ahead of hours, we were there for nine hours. At the end of our nine hours they had informed us that they weren’t able to do the ultrasound and that they recommended that we come the following day in the morning at 10 AM to get it done right away. As angry as we were we of course came the next morning at 10 AM and they proceeded to once again have a stay there for nine hours. They finally got the ultrasound done one hour before we picked up our dog and the results were inconclusive. On top of that while she was in their care, They had left the diapers that we had put on her ( We had to put these diapers on because she was bleeding nonstop from her private area) They had left those diapers on her for the entire duration of her stay which can cause the UTI to worsen. Do NOT take your animals here, heartless.

They will have you pay 2k plus a night and tell you your pet will be fine but they know all along they won’t make it. They only care about money and have no care whatsoever that your baby is suffering. how can they sleep at night doing this to people

I personally have never taken my pets here but as a cat owner myself I think it’s extremely important to spread awareness about places like this. A friend of mine and her wife lost their cat last night. This place knew his diagnosis wasn’t good and they charged them 10,000 for care and hospital stay of 3 days and told them their cat would survive knowing it wouldn’t and they let him suffer there for 3 days all for money smh they lied and said they didn’t have his test results with the diagnosis and they then found out they had the results 3 hours after. Please please please do your research first and always get a second opinion else where.

Be aware they just want your money. They will misdiagnose your pet in order to take your money. They don't care about the welfare of your animals, they just see them as dollar signs and will allow them to suffer to make a buck.

You guys are HORRIBLE people! The fact you gave false hope to someone about their pet surviving just so you can make 2k per night is INSANE. I hope Karma gets every single one of you! SHAME ON YOU! SCAMMERS. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. THEY WILL LIE AND KEEP YOUR PET SUFFERING JUST TO MAKE EXTRA CASH!

Great experience here. Our boy had a possible obstruction and they took him back pretty quickly on a Sunday morning. After consulting with the doctor I was told it would be a couple hours and I could go home and wait for a call, which I did. The doc recommended we either leave him overnight, or we take him home and come back early the next day before it was busy for a follow up x-ray. We decided to take him home and follow the instructions. The follow up was much cheaper, eventhough I assumed it would be about the same as our first day. Front desk staff is great and the techs and doctor were great. For a complicated ER, where they are constantly re-prioritizing patients, and dealing with regular tragedy, they operate very well. While I was waiting, I also saw a couple come in with a stray then found to see if he had a chip. They went out of their way to track the owner down and the dog was reunited with his owner outside (great job ladies!). This is a very nice and well equipped place if your pet has an emergency. It will cost more than your normal vet, but that's how any pet or human ER is. Get pet insurance so you don't have to make difficult decisions in bad situations.

I took my dog to the urgent care here because her nail broke off and was excessively bleeding. I was so panicked, and I just drove to the nearest emergency animal hospital. I was impressed with the team’s friendliness and professionalism. They took her in so quickly and went over her care with me, and I was very happy in the end. My baby is doing a lot better now thanks to the staff at ACCESS on the evening of 1/16.

The time had come to say goodbye to our senior fur baby & we received such an amazing care from the time we walked in, to when we left. Wonderful caring & compassionate staff (from the receptionist, assistants, to the doctor). We’re grateful for every single one of them for sharing our sorrow & making this difficult time easier for us.
