Holy smokes. Dealing with this Mickey Mouse operation made me feel like I was communicating with incompetent, challenged adults who got together and tried their hand at a first time lemonade stand. From their website down, dealing with them has been a miserable, almost humorous experience. This operation is in need of some SERIOUS leadership changes and yesterday would be too soon! Suffice it to say, I am regretting ever getting involved with this group of.. I don't know what to call them.. Thankfully, I can ignore them but it is embarrassing the way they operate.

Signed up for their 3% cash back Crystal Visa credit card after going through a long process of opening an account. We have just reached one year and decided to cancel the card. But so far they are saying that we have to pay the annual fee for the upcoming year - even though we want to cancel the card. Not happy about this. Should not have to pay the fee if I am canceling the card!

Literally the only good thing about this CU is getting paid early. They also claim you get paid 2 days early, but unless you live in PST you get paid more like a day and a few hrs early by the time it posts. I've had nothing but problems with this CU. I've had to call 7x to inquire as to why I never got a new debit card when mine was about to expire. On the 7th time they gave me a FedEx tracking number showing me they lied to me in previous conversations telling me it had already been sent. Years ago I had a collection and I had a man in that dept work out a payment plan with me. He said if I had the money deposited into my account every 2 wks, he would make the payments to my collection account automatically. Three months later he emailed me asking me why I hadn't made a single payment. I forwarded him his own email showing he said he would do the payments automatically. He said he'd need me to email or call him every 2 weeks to remind him to do his job. This CU is a joke. No one knows what is going on and trying to get anything done is like pulling teeth.

UPDATE: I called the number in the response below and nobody has any clue about who Christina M (employee who responded to my complaint) is or how to handle my call. I was told someone would call me back and so far its crickets !!! WOW ! ! ! I am all for verification. But using a half baked system/incompetent staff to collect and process personal/financial info from customers is very irresponsible at best. Even the initial (automated verification) questoinaire made no sense...I was asked qustions that make u wonder who came with these genius questions. Making customers fly across the continent to open an account because your verification system does not work is absurd. Even your branch manager seemed to agree that the whole thing does not make sense, but would not tell me why he thinks I AM NOT ME, inspite of providing numeous pieces of evidence....so that i can resolve the issue. Your branch manager seeemd to be going around in circles...agreeing to everything i said, but then concluding that my application cudnt be approved. LOL! !

We banked with FIGFCU for many years, but somewhere in 2021 this bank went south and took a turn for the worst.. Not sure what is going on over there. You can NEVER speak to a member that can help you, I am always told that the call center is overloaded with phone calls and the rep can take a message. Currently been trying to close a few accounts that we are no longer using and I am still waiting on another return call/email 8 days later. I called today and was told the same, "I can take a message and someone will call you back". I asked to speak to a supervisor and all she said she could do, was escalate the issue and I would get a call. I told her I need the form to close the accounts NOT a phone call. And she still said she would have someone call me back!?? We moved our accounts in March and since this time I have been having issues closing my accounts, we are now in August!! and being charged $5 a month for inactivity fee every month on EVERY acct!! NO ONE know anything over there! I do NOT recommend using this bank at the moment.

Run - take your money elsewhere! There is no customer service. Reps answer phones to only tell you they are unable to help, but a "specialist" will return your call within 24 hrs, and good luck if it's a Friday. Tullee, the banking app they use is a joke on all levels. Usage and apps are constantly down. There's no longer access to Zelle. They use another rare and unpopular cash app tool that will take up to 48 hrs for the person to receive funds. I had a similar incident as another reviewer below re: a car loan. The website said I'd have a response within 24 hours, but it took over a week. It ran the credit report immediately but no one reviewed for over a week so your held hostage. That car loan department was like a ghost town, no one was ever available until I started making noise & complaining. Don't give false advertising to your consumer re: a 24 hr turn around. Using a bank and your money shouldn't be so hard. I intend to change credit unions as soon as this holiday account pays out in November. Patti: I see your comments below but it's a bunch of corporate BS with no real answers and obviously no changes by the credit union.

Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union rolled out a new online banking tool in July called Tulee. The roll-out has been a colossal mess. Trying to get someone on the phone or via chat to help you takes on average 30 minutes. Their new tools are unreliable. Transfers used to be instantaneous; now you have to wait sometimes several days. I would switch banks if it wasn't so inconvenient.

They should not even get a -* for their inability to service customers. No Customer Service, no common sense, hold people's money and not releasing it. Have a new system call TULEE that somebody got bribed to approve. It is utterly non user friendly and you cannot get to talk to anyone. They send you off to never ending "hold land" forever, then a 'supervisor' tells you that you have to hang up and call back to speak to a D/Axx who says someone would call you back. When that person calls back 4 hours later .... and close to closing time, they don't even know the issue?! Their new system does not disclose pertinent information and then the rep accuses you of NOT READING properly.?!?!. Totally disgusted and frustrated and they are holding funds over a weekend and possibly 4th July holiday, when funds needed to be released TODAY. Big failure in system, management and representatives who drive you to the brink of insanity. oh... did I mention the fees for stuff you never approved or heard off?

ONE star is already WAY too generous!! It is such a PAIN IN the BEHIND just to get a membership and or account open. They make you upload all the documents and sign agreements online via docusign and then turn around and say they did not receive anything from you. Persons answering the messages online never identify themselves so you don't really know who you are dealing with. They use an online system to verify you online via phone -- have you take photos of front and back of DL and then selfie. Then message back saying they can't verify you online and you need to come into their branch when you are thousand of miles away from that branch--- way too ridiculous for opening an account. I would not recommend going thru all these frustrations to get an account opened.

I recently became a member with Farmers Insurance Credit Union. I thought highly of this financial institution at first but quickly realized they are the worst bank I ever dealt with. I have good credit and a high income; I was approved for a credit card and for a personal loan. I checked the loan status and it said approved; a few hours later I was contacted by a loan officer named Amy Balyan who was rude & condescending. She told me she did not feel comfortable approving the personal loan because I had inquiries on my credit report. My high income & credit score determines my credit worthiness not a loan counselor who is biased and racially profiling a member. I asked to speak with a manager and Amy said the manager will call me back. I never received a call from the manager. I waited a few days and called four times; i was hung up on & transferred everywhere except to the manager. I continued to check the application status for days and it went from approved to pending and still no call back. I called once more and was given the manager's name Jeff Lazano and I was told he was out for a few days. I was transferred to his voicemail and left a message. I still haven't heard from him and now a week later my application status says denied. This financial institution is a joke. The staff is unprofessional and rude. I wish I saw these horrible reviews before i wasted my time joining. I will take my finances elsewhere!

unfortunately I can't rate this bank a -10 as I would want to but furthermore if I were you I would make the smartest decision in NOT choosing this bank whatsoever. First and foremost, this bank is a joke. the employees currently representing this company are a complete joke, I'm not sure what the hiring process is but the whole entire bank and department needs to be put under training AGAIN for customer service skills cause unfortunately the employees don't know the definition of what providing customer service to consumers are, the employees need help with understanding the business as well as the company's terms and conditions Cause everyone doesn't know their job duties, terms and conditions also they have no empathy and they are LAZY.nonetheless the whole entire loss mitigation department is an entire mess, apparently Alfonso the ONLY supervisor for that department at least that's what I was told, has been on months long vacation since last year August 2022 as he never responds back or checks emails I'm not quite sure how he's a supervisor still. if you don't want to be falsely accused of owing them an amount they make up because they work off outdated systems, I suggest you stay away! I took matters into my own hands and have now taken legal action Thanks to USAGOV, my local legal aide center and my attorney who will now take control over with this con artist bank. BE AWARE OTHERS

I signed up for there 3% cash back Crystal Visa card thinking it is the best cash back credit card. It was a long process getting approved. I've used it for several months now and I'm checking my cash back balance and I'm only getting back about 2% back. Their customer service is available only M-F. Also their website is out dated and doesn't have useful tools like Citi. I'm not even able to set up bill pay of my credit card through ACH through external bank. They also charge an annual fee after first year of $99. I'll be closing my accounts soon.

FIGFCU has to be one of the worst Credit Unions I have ever done business with. I was under the impression that due to me being a "Farmers Agent" there would be some additional benefits working with them. They are no different than dealing with Farmers themselves. Lack of training, employees, and help. I don't feel comfortable with them handling my money and will be closing all personal/business accounts. If you ever deal with a ZAK BARNES, please beware of his demeaning customer service and threats. Not worth my time and have been pushed to the attorney general's office. Maybe that will help in getting the correct service moving forward.

1 star is too much for this credit union, I've been a member for over a decade and I have to say they have the worst customer service of any bank big or small. I recently had an experience with a service agent who was extremely rude and not helpful at all now I remember why I no longer use this bank as my primary, I will never come back.
