Update as of 12/19/2023:Halsey Preschool continues to do a wonderful job. Another of my children attends, first a few days a week, and now moving her to full-time has helped so much. Lots of great activities and I appreciate the team there, always kind and welcoming.I’m glad that not one, but two of my children are being cared for at Halsey and prepared appropriately for elementary school.Initial Review:Halsey Schools is a wonderful preschool. They have always had open lines of communication and have provided great educational preparation for my son. He will graduate to elementary school in June, but I plan on having my daughter attend as well in the coming years. Many thanks to Halsey for always being great listeners and for caring for my son in creative ways. Also, should mention the homework they send home is simple, but thoughtful. Thanks again Halsey!

The infant room is great, but it's kind of a s--- show when you get to toddler level. Kids are crying and seemingly begging to leave. Our daughter got sick all the time, and that stopped after we switched schools. The teacher turnover is high, and the teachers don't look like they want to be there.

I have had a great experience transitioning my kiddo to preschool at Halsey schools. Ms. Jenni, the Director, is available and accommodating. Ms. Gabby, Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Cindy, and all the teachers have been so warm and welcoming. Transitioning your first kiddo to preschool is not easy and I'm so happy to have the support of all the smiling faces at Halsey. My kiddos weekly "lessons" get posted at the start of every week and they send photos daily to a parent portal. The pictures are great to see fun activities and play during the day, especially if the morning transition was rough. The "lessons" and schedule posted is great for knowing what themes and stories are being introduced during the day in classroom and supporting talking about your kiddos day with them.

I absolutely LOVE Halsey schools. The teachers are warm, welcoming and attentive. I have no concern leaving my child in their care. My newly 2 year old is counting to 20 in English and 10 in Spanish, knows her alphabet, is constantly expanding her language skills. She is learning social skills and is engaged and challenged throughout the day. I can't speak highly enough of this school and their passion for child care and advancement.

Written during the second half of 2020.So far, so good, nah, wicked good experience! (And,yes I grew up in Boston). Our daughter is about to turn 4, and after having taken her out of preschool at the beginning of Covid, thankfully we have found a place where both the staff and families are serious about cleanliness, masks, and staying safe. But that's not even the best part... the best part is that she absolutely loves it! Since we sent her back last week, she has come home smiling each day with rave reviews about the new nice friends and playing with them in class and in the yard (apparently the slides are "super fun"). Looking forward to more well traced letters and cute art projects to hang on my office wall, it's filling up fast!

We took our two sons to Halsey and couldn't be happier with the love and care from the teachers, staff, and administration. When our eldest moved on to TK, he was prepared and ready for the challenge thanks to the work he did at Halsey. Highly recommend. Our kids still speak fondly of their time at Halsey and ask to go back to visit regularly.

My child has type 1 diabetes, I reached out and spoke to a wonderful lady that informed me her daughter has type 1 diabetes and would be happy for my son to join but had to confirm with the owner, I received a call and was left with a voicemail with her informing me that she spoke to the owner who said "that type 1 diabetes was something they didn't want to take on at this time " can you believe that an owner of a child facility spoke about my child as if we were a vendor for there company not only that her comment is completely against the law. I reported the voicemail and interactions to Proper channels. IIf your child has a disability does not contact this school the owner does not know the law and will see your child as a vendor other than a child!SAD ! And as you can see from her response to bad reviews she clearly isn't stable enough to take feedback and improve her business.

We loved Halsey and was sad our time there was cut short due to the pandemic. I sent both of my kids there and they both thrived. The teachers were amazing and attentive. Loved all the arts and craft projects and themes throughout the year. My daughter didn't graduate from here since she qualified for TK but my son was supposed to. I was sad that he wasn't going to to be able to but Ms. Jenny surprised us while we were at home with such a sweet gesture. Just goes to show how much they care and support their kids. Highly recommend this place.

Worst part of my 4-year old daughter's life. Traumatizing experience for her. Wasted all my money. Imagine your child is crying continuously and the teacher is just staring at him/her. I did not like the way Ms. Darrah handled the situation.

Halsey's Schools is a great place; the teachers are so loving and nurturing. My favorite things about it are all the activities my daughter is exposed to like: science, cooking, all kinds of art projects, their day is filled with learning and exploring. The administration is well organized, available, responsive and supportive when any question has come up. It's been a great place for my daughter to shine and to blossom. Another great thing is they are open 6:30-6:30, which is unique, and has been a blessing a time or two when we were stuck in traffic, or had to get to work early for something. The other fun things they do are celebrate reading, have silly days like wear every color Of the rainbow, they celebrate holidays and always invite the parents to visit anytime of day. Last great thing is the teachers have a staff development monthly on a different topic related to child development. It's been an amazing experience for our family and we hope it is for yours too.

I started Halsey Schools when I was a baby in 2000 and I graduated from the Busy Bee class in 2005. I loved it there. I looked forward to going everyday and missed it on the weekends. The teachers were all so nice and I still visit them even though I'm in middle school now.I think Halsey is great and that your kids will love it as much as I did. I learned a lot there and I think I owe my success in elementary and middle school to Halsey.I really love to learn. I take all honors classes. I'm a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I even received an award and letter from President Obama for my academic achievement. I also won the president's fitness challenge.Someday I'll send my kids to Halsey.
