My experience with Dignity has always been that they are helpful. No complaints.

Front desk ladies at station 2 completely ignored me after checking out another patient. They were just casually talking and giggling while I stood right in front of them. No acknowledgement at all. Luckily the guy working got me checked in when I walked over to him. So rude and unprofessional.

The provider took a call from her dentist during my appointment! As an RN I had heard nothing but terrible things about Dignity and I'm here to say from the patient side that it's as bad as they say. Waited 4 months for an appointment only to find out that the doctors here won't prescribe medications I've been taking for years, or care for very basic medical needs, all of which have been managed solely by other primary care doctors. Supposedly all due to policies set by Dignity. Save your time and your health, go anywhere else.

Dignity is the WORST! The doctors are one thing, but the people who operate their phones!? You guys are literally the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of talking to... Everytime I call I get grief from them and NEVER get help! They question me and even have the nerve to LAUGH AT ME... Yeah that makes me feel great. I'm coming to you people for medical help!!! You people are pathetic and should be ABSOLUTELY ashamed of yourselves! Hire better employees NOW !!! But yeah I guess in the meantime I just won't get the help I need, or really deserve... thanks a lot. What if I was terminally ill??? No help still I'm guessing. Just terrible and pathetic.

I agree with others the building is great. The doctor that I got for a visit however gave me her political views when i asked a medical question about why I was there for. if I wanted that i would go see my politician not a Doctor. I wish they would go back to practicing medicine and not following political views on medicine. Haven't and will not go back there.

I blame this hospital for my mother's death. For a year, she kept going in, telling them that she had such bad pain that she couldn't eat. They kept sending her home, telling her it was all due to a hernia that she had. Wouldn't even take the time to check it out. None of her symptoms could be explained by a simple hiatal hernia. Turns out she had cancer. By the time they eventually bothered to look, it was already stage 4. It was already in her brain. By that time she was so bad, she needed a feeding tube. While cutting her open to put in the tube, they left a plastic bag inside of her. The experience destroyed her. Any sense of hope she had was gone. She called me multiple times, pleading with me to let her come home. When finally home, I saw what they had done to her. The multiple wounds on her stomach from the botched surgeries looked like something out of a horror film. Her mental state was grim. Nobody could talk her into going back for treatment. She chose to die at home rather than spend another minute in this hospital. One star doesn't begin to express my feelings about the incompetence of this hospital.Edit: I've slightly modified the language in my review after receiving a threatening email from Yelp implying that I may be sued by this hospital. If only I could leave negative stars.

Lack of common sense period. Dr. Meraz doesn’t diagnose with a scientific mind. Makes too many assumptions without verifying if they are true fact/s. He delegates his work to a NP Gonzalez that is not proactive at all and doesn’t diagnose properly with an proactive mindset. No sense of purpose nor passion for most of these doctors, they are unmotivated and seems like the root cause is the business structure and company culture. The company culture here is a joke and it needs a “full house cleaning” and set new standards for active listening, proactive mindsets and simply practical application w/ vision & mission statements. My father and myself have misdiagnosed various of times and it’s simply a waste of time, money & effort going to this place. Nurses call hours after an appointment that they forgot to give you things required for a surgery/procedure when they know we don’t live in town. There’s no Quality Control nor any type of standard checklist to ensure process is being followed. He have had appointments when we arrive the Dr has been out for weeks and they don’t have record of his vacation and we have to reschedule appointments. Very unprofessional and no sense of emotional intelligence. - I Don’t recommend this place at all. Just go to Davis Sutter Hospital and save yourself time, money and effort.

Normally I would be raving about this place, unfortunately, this last visit was surprisingly a disappointment. I drive from Redding for each appt. which is two hours away (this means I have to miss work and if my husband comes along, we have to close down both businesses and lose income). My appt time was 8am, so I left at 5:30am. When I arrived the receptionist was surprised to see me, informing me that the doctor was not in (first he was out sick, then in surgery then at another appt.) and I needed to reschedule...I politely let her know this was not an option and sat down. They called the reluctant doctor (he had fractured his left ankle) to come in, needless to say, he was not happy and refused to take care of me (I was there for lumbar injections). He let me know the staff was scheduling as far out as March 2023 (this could have been told to me a long time ago, during the scheduling). The doctor told me I could return the following day and get the injections by someone else.A little back story -I had been trying to get in since BEFORE Thanksgiving (pain began about the 14th of November) because the pain was excruciating with each step and crippling; I was in tears. I had asked to be placed on the cancellation list and called every other day to check on the status. If it was not for the emergency surgery I had on the 8th (different location)and prescribed steroids, plus multiple Tourdal shots, I would not have lasted as long as I needed to (obviously!).I was scheduled for the 19th, filled out the online registration, to discover the appointment was changed to the 20th. The morning of the 20th I receive an email to set up a "Virtual Appt."...are you kidding me?! I called to inform Dignity Health of the oversight and am told the doctor was out sick AND a few minutes later, he is in surgery (now the lies?) They rescheduled for the 28th, for the injections (I am no longer on steroids and could not afford anymore Touradol shots).I did speak with a Supervisor and suggested to re-educate the staff. As for the doctor, I thought he was more responsible and understood the commitment to patients. The lack of compassion exhibited by the Pain Management Department was thoroughly discouraging. I can only hope they will improve and make the necessary changes to prevent this from ever happening to someone else living with chronic debilitating pain.I hope the doctor also reviews this and accepts responsibility of this mess.

Dignity Health STINKS. Literally. Most premier health institutions (CDC, American Lung Association, Harvard Medical School, Kaiser, Johns Hopkins, UCSF, etc) have gone fragrance-free because fragrances have undisclosed chemical ingredients including carcinogenic phthlates. I have made endless complaints to Dignity, but every facility uses toxic scented cleaning products. WORSE yet, the nurses are allowed to wear perfume -- and many wear heavy perfume. Yesterday, the receptionist had perfume, the technician in a closed space had perfume, the restrooms smelled of fragrances. I left feeling more ill than when I went in. This is not acceptable for a health care facility. STaff should not be allowed to wear products that make 1/3 of patients ill. Children with asthma are the least able to speak up for themselves. Shame on Dignity.

I took my daughter in for a possible ear infection. We waited 50 minutes after our appointment time and when the doctor was still far behind, we left. The ER took only 20 minutes.

Dignity - the state or quality of being worthy of honor or respect. They should maybe evaluate a name change? Find another place if you actually want to get care! Rude! Not friendly, caring or concerned with patient care. Tried to get an appt with ENT based on Urgent Care visit.... was told NO - have to have to see Audiologist first - next available appt in July! Was told to try going to Sac! Called back to see if I got the same story.... This time after waiting over 15 minutes I was told only way to be seen was to go to Urgent Care - again! They have no appointments. What a great patient care model they have!!

Have had multiple issues with my care as a patient at Woodland. My primary care doctor, Dr. Chen is excellent and have no complaints for him but almost every other provider I have seen in other departments have only left me disappointed, completely unsatisfied and frustrated. Horrible communication, diagnosing has been incorrect and prolonged with prolonged treatment for those issues and as well as never getting calls for my test results even when specifically requesting for a call with my results even if they are normal.
