Great honest people at this shop and I can't stress that enough. I live in Sacramento and I make the drive to Woodland just to be sure that I'm going to be in good hands.

The staff at Main Street Motors is amazing. My high mileage Kia was struggling to accelerate and sounded like the engine was about to die, so I pulled it into their shop with its last push. In diagnosing it, Art was extremely reasonable and sought to help me save money. He was thoughtful in explaining each step, and I felt very cared for as a customer who was hopeful my car would pull through. Unfortunately, my car was at the end of its time with me after the timing belt broke/caused damage to the engine, and Art continued to be super helpful. He was extremely kind and sympathetic, as my car meant a great deal to me. He was thorough in explaining my options, and had a gentleness as he gave me the hard prognosis that it'd be a huge financial endeavor for me to keep the car going. As I figured out my choice as to what to do with the car, Main Street Motors was patient in allowing me to keep my car parked in their lot as I figured out what to do. They made a very stressful/heartbreaking situation a lot easier with their kindness and patience. I definitely recommend them!

Art and his crew are good guys. Honest repairs and very fair prices. It's who I always look to first when I have a car problem.

My old car flunked smog last fall and was not worth repairing. Used car options were few here in Napa, so I went to almost all of the many lots in Vallejo, a used car capitol. Zee found me a good little car for a very fair price. I was a nervous buyer, so he conducted a point by point inspection for me using the lift at his adjacent smog business. This was very reassuring. Still, the car sounded different from my old one, so I waited till I was sure to write this review almost one year later. The car is running great and I'm very happy with it!

Brought my 05 TJ in to get smogged. Turned out my engine light lit up...so it was a fail on the test. Dan worked with me on a solution to extend my registration with the DMV and then I found out he was a Jeep head. Made me feel very comfortable about bringing the TJ back to him to trouble shoot the engine light. He allowed me to bring the TJ back a couple of times and always had it ready to drive for me when I needed to drive home. Simple spark plug issue and out the door for less than 250$ and that included the smog test. Dan is the man and so is Art. There is a 3rd gentleman that works there however I never spoke with him but he seemed friendly. Thank you again guys! Now I know where to take my TJ when she is not feeling good.

What a kind and chivalrous team! Frankly, most repair guys take advantage of single mothers and try to charge me double or triple for something. I tend to have to get 3, 4, 5 quotes on any repair job to find an honest tradesperson. This deeply angers me as I can recognize a chauvinist rip-off when I see one.Even whilst knowing my vulnerability, the guys at Main Street Motors gave me a fair diagnostic and solid advice when my car failed to meet the smog test. Hearing I was alone at home with a small child, they offered to drop off my car in the heat to avoid us having to walk there in the terrible heat of today. To top it off, they changed my windshield wipers (which is tricky on a Prius) for free and showed me how to do it myself the next time. PS - they are masked and courteous of their customers' health. A++++

The guys at Main Street Motors are the best. I drive 500 miles each week for my job so it's really important. Today, Dan fixed up my 20 year old Mazda--a bad engine coil--breathing new life into my old reliable. Many thanks Dan and the rest!

I've been taking my vehicles to MSM for several years. They do great work every time. And they are honest with fair prices. It's hard to find a repair shop you can trust. Give them a try. You won't be sorry.

I've had cars fixed here before and Dan's done great. Unfortunately, I just picked my car up and discovered they did not fix everything that I took it in for. When I dropped it off I asked the guy if he could come out to the car so I could show him everything I was concerned with. It was leaking coolant and the part where I put oil in was loose. I showed the guy and he took the entire oil nozzle/neck off and said, "Yeah I can fix this. No problem. We probably have this part laying around here." Later on, I received a call letting me know how much it would cost to repair. I agreed to go ahead with the work. Later I received a call stating the work was done and I came and picked it up. Paid for it, discussed with Art how I was driving home to Nevada in the morning, and left. While driving back to my aunts, I smelled oil burning so I pulled over and popped my hood to check it out. The loose nozzle the guy had taken off earlier, was still off. They neglected to repair it. I called the shop and spoke to Art. His attitude was awful and rude. He told me to check my invoice and I could see that he only fixed my water pump. I explained that yes, I could see that, however I wanted him to know that as a customer I left my car with the expectation that it would be repaired upon pick up. I reiterated that the mechanic took the piece the rest of the way off this morning and just left it. Art then said I could bring it back and he could have the part in 2-3 days. That would be great.... if I lived here. If they had told me this morning when they called with the estimate, I would've taken my car elsewhere. Now I have to drive to Auburn tomorrow with no oil cap so that I can buy the part before I can go home. Hope my car doesn't get damaged further. My uncle called back and spoke to Dan but I'm not sure they fully understand the situation because this shop just isn't taking it seriously. Their mechanic took a part off my car and didn't replace it. It's extremely unprofessional. I don't mind paying for the work and parts. I mind having my property damaged and not repaired when I take it to a repair shop. UPDATE: I've taken my vehicle to Ford and their knowledgeable mechanics. It's going to cost me $149.00 to replace the part the mechanic from Main Street Motors took off. This doesn't include the cost of labor they will charge to put it on for me. Definitely staying away from this shady Woodland business in the future.
