I had a great experience at the Woodside Post Office. Monique and Daisy were both super friendly, kind, and helpful. I had a question about shipping a package to Germany, and they took the time to walk me through the process and make sure everything was set up correctly.
What I really appreciated is that they accepted the discounted shipping level I was using — I’ve been to other post offices where they give you a hard time about that, but here, it was no problem at all.
The whole visit was easy, smooth, and just plain pleasant. It’s not often you leave a post office in a good mood, but this one honestly made my day. Thank you, Monique and Daisy — you’re the best!

The hours are very limited (including a midday lunch closure from 1:30-2:30pm everyday), and there is no self-service kiosk. Add a self-service kiosk please! Then we can still get our packages stamped and mailed even when the service counter is closed.

Lydia and Joe are the best postal workers I've ever met - and I've lived in 9 states and 2 foreign countries! They are helpful, kind, and run a great post office in Woodside. It's always a joy to go to the post office, to mail taxes or get stamps, which I've never been able to say before. Please be nice to them when you go - say hello and ask how they are. Mention them by name. It really goes a long way with them (and others). So thankful I live near such a great post office!

We Woodsiders are willing to pay a premium not to have to drive across the freeway into Redwood City, where we might encounter Those People, you know, the ones who foolishly burned through their trust funds on the Grand Tour up from Guatemala. Or worse, Trump voters. If you feel the same way, if you always choose full service at the Sharon Heights Shell station, well, you don't really need to be reading Yelp reviews do you? There are people for that. If you're the sort of person who thinks about money, there's a US post office a couple of steps down the strip mall.

BEST location, hands down!! Not a review for visiting once or twice, been coming here for years. Because of this location, I now dread going to any other -will avoid other post offices like the plague...not kidding. Used to work in San Jose and would lug packages back home just to mail from here the next morning. EXCELLENT customer service at the desk from Lydia & Joe. Both are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient! This is a smaller location, perfect for a TOWN atmosphere. They know regulars by name --think of the tv show Cheers. Definitely makes you feel special and not just going to another cold government office. I actually look forward to sending mail here!! :) Bonus: Lobby open 24hrs for PO Box access.

Best service and the most kind and true, highest performing professionals at any post office in the USA. And, I'm a veteran who has live all over the USA and world. Top notch! And the post office smells good too - not like an "antiseptic gov't institution!"
