Wunderlich County Park is a great destination for hikers and trail runners, offering a variety of trails with decent shade, even on hot days. Visitors appreciate the gradual elevation gain and the beauty of the tall redwood trees that provide ample cover. The park features a mix of single track and fire roads, making it suitable for exercise and exploration. However, some reviewers note that it lacks stunning vistas and open spaces for relaxation, and the trails can be dusty. Restrooms are clean and conveniently located at the parking lot. For those interested in equestrian activities, nearby Chaparral Ranch offers trail rides and riding lessons, with positive feedback on the staff. Overall, Wunderlich County Park is a hidden gem for nature lovers looking to escape urban life and enjoy a peaceful hike. Visitors are advised to bring a map or use the AllTrails app to navigate the trails safely.
If you are looking for a hiking experience that offers a diverse landscape and multiple trails, Wunderlich is where it's at! The gigantic redwoods, the meadow on top of the mountain, the view of Stanford and the Bay... absolutely stunning!

Majestic county park with fascinating history you can learn about at the Carriage House on the weekends from 12pm-3pm. Hiking is hilly but trails are nicely maintained and labeled. Worth a visit.
