Some facets of our visit were good, like the employee at the register and the queso sauce. But there were a few disappointing aspects to our visit. The employee who prepared our food was having trouble keeping his pants from falling down to his ankles. He also put to many beans in our burrito so it immediately fell apart and had to be eaten with a fork. He also prepared our order "to go" (we were eating in store). The worst part was there were 3 or 4 gnats flying around the soda machine.

Wow, I've never felt so bad for having had to order food. What an amazing bunch of awkwardly unprofessional line cooks.... they were literally so unpleasant that the entire line was held up staring at one another, wondering what the hall was going on.... still makes me cringe.Obviously, everyone here hates their jobs.. so maybe it's time to fire everyone, but the cashier; who was also obviously bewildered and being made uncomfortable by his colleagues' terrible attitudes

I don't know why, but they can never get the portions right when I order. I get the same thing every time. It's almost guaranteed that something in my order will be wrong or missing. The toppings come in different sized containers every time. I notice this the most with the cheese. I ask for cheese on the side for 2 meals. A couple of times they gave me two small containers of cheese at no charge. The next time I only got one small container and when I asked for another one the employee got mad. The next time I decided to pay extra for cheese since they don't give enough to begin with and I got a large container for $1.90. The last time I ordered I paid again for extra cheese, but this time I got a small container at the same price. There needs to be a standard size for toppings. Why am I paying the same amount of money for different amounts of cheese depending on who's making my order? I love the food, but would go to another location if there was another one in the area.

This is the most poorly managed Cafe Rio I have ever been to! Every time it is a bad experience, but I love Cafe Rio and it's local, so I keep trying. Today I didn't even get to order, because they were too busy making a mobile order. I was the only person in line and after waiting 10 minutes, I asked how much longer would it be. The said they didn't know, so I left.

Daniel and Laura are great. We don’t typically dine in but we had a great experience here. And the dessert was yummy!

Damien is a great employee. He always has a smile and it is very helpful. My wife loves your salad. It's the best she's ever had. And I love your pollo asada. I hope you keep that on the menu.Vegetarian options: Not really

A very inappropriate thing happened on my last visit. I hate to leave this in a review but can’t find any way to reach the owner on their website. I have ordered catering on several occasions here and haven’t had an issue, until recently.Apparently it was the day of the employee party. Several of us were waiting for our pick up orders and a few customers were in line for food. An employee ( I was told her name was Laura.) was loudly and angrily ranting and carrying on, mad that customers were there. She was saying things about being overworked and tired from making tortilla's, mad no one locked the door. She started cursing profanities, walking over to waiting customers and yelling the F word at them. My husband and I were sitting and waiting. She approached us and started cussing at us. I told her to leave. She went in the restroom for a while, then left out the door stopping at the window to scream at us and flip us off. Everyone ignored her, including the employees.I feel like the owners should know about this. This cannot be a one time thing. She was way too comfortable, and now she behaved and no one seemed to know what to do with her. This threatening behavior is absolutely unacceptable.

I use to love this place, but after tonight we won't be back. The food was ok. The workers look like they are miserable. The place is unclean and food is slopped everywhere. Not appealing. Rather than replenish the rice the server was scraping the bottom. No one smiled or seemed happy that there were customers in line.

I’m so happy there is still a Mexican restaurant that believes everything does not have to be hot and spicy for food to be good. I enjoy the food at Cafe Rio and I hope that continue the excellent service and food. I can’t eat at other Mexican restaurants because most dishes are hot and spicy, my wife and I like spice but not the heat..

food it's great, but something about the staff makes me think twice about going in. on a recent visit I received a hello when coming in but then they quickly scurried about their business. one was on her phone then walk past on the way to the bathroom. few minutes later they asked if I was picking up. food is great but potion seemed smaller than normal. maybe it was an off day. will try again and update.
