For $70, the steak should have been great. However, the medium-rare ribeye came out well done, borderline burnt. Everyone's trout and salmon came out dry and flavorless. The rare prime-Rib came our medium-well. Our food came out extremely staggered - some guests in our party weren't served for over 20 minutes after the first guests were served. Extremely poor service and poor food.French onion soup was great.

We have had excellent meals in the past at the Mountain Room. Sadly, last night's was not one of them. The halibut was far overcooked, the saffron rice was a stuck-together mess, the sauce uninspired. Our other entree, a portobello mushroom burger, was more satisfactory. Our server was attentive. The wine (The Pale Rose) was excellent.

We went to the lounge next to the Mountain Room restaurant. It was a great space to relax, have a drink, enjoy the views. Food and service were great ?Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair friendly

The ambiance is unbeatable. From our seats we could see Yosemite Upper Falls. The service was fine. The waiter and busser were both very friendly and highly competent. The food itself, however, was meh. My wife had the chicken, and it was very dry. The pickled carrot strings are a strange item of little interest. I had a "pork chop" that didn't look like any pork chop I had ever seen during my 84 years. And it was very tough. The best item was the cheesecake, which was almost as good as what we normally get in the Amici's Pizza chain restaurant.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Mountain Room. Our server, Shawn, was awesome! He must have missed his calling as the Ring Master in a circus, his whole presentation is very theatrical and was thoroughly enjoyable! He made excellent recommendations and even though his section had 3 tables seated at the same time, he handled all 3 with aplomb, a true professional. The food was delightful. We really enjoyed the french onion soup and the beet salad.

What a comfort to be able to get a nice meal walking distance from your hotel room. This is a quiet time of year, but we made our reservations a couple weeks in advance. The atmosphere is very nice, after eating at the cafeteria next door this was a treat, the prices are high, but you're on vacation and it's a splurge. I had the onion soup that want super flavorful, but decent. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, it I didn't like the delmonico potatoes, not cooked enough for me. Good broccolini and the sauce on the steak a red wine reduction was delicious. I enjoyed cheesecake for dessert.

Dined with my family here for dinner and we loved it. Beautiful tall windows provide a backdrop of the valley. Staff was friendly, food was excellent, and wine was delicious (we had the seven sins Zinfandel). Variety of meat and veggie entrees and appetizers, something for everyone. Some highlights were the trout and Brussels sprouts. Would definitely dine here again when in the valley and wanting a nice sit down meal. Decor was contemporary and tasteful - I think I spied a few Ansel Adams prints as well! This restaurant far exceeded our expectations, and was a real treat being inside Yosemite and getting to eat so well. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Stuffed squash and lentil entree, Brussels sprouts, beet salad

Phenomenal food, service, and ambience. Can’t recommend highly enough! We had the salmon and grilled chicken, it was just perfectly done. Cooked to perfection, the BBQ sauce is amazing with just the right amount of heat.Had a Negroni on one night and they added a hint bitters and cayenne, sublime!

The room and service was excellent. Servers were very friendly and efficient. The room is beautiful and it was wonderful not to have to shout to have a conversation. Food was adequate and portions were good. Steaks were good. Pork chop had an unusual seasoning that wasn't too enticing. Desserts were great.

The wait staff, Rose and David, were very friendly and attentive. They allowed us to sit at our favorite table. The lobster Mac 'n cheese was fantastic. The salmon got mixed reviews. My husband thought it was perfect, but I thought it was a bit too dry. Everything tasted great and of course, you can't beat the view of the falls during the daylight hours.

Dining area a bit subject to clattering of dishes & silverware by service people. Beet salad had too much kale. Filet was ok, potatoes great, cauliflower too much. Not enough value for $50 entre. Wine selection too pricey. Still, Great Atmosphere!

The Yosemite Valley Lodge Mountain Room is overpriced and the service was extremely slow. I would not recommend this restaurant. I thought the food choices were limited and some of the choices were odd. I think the menu needs to be updated with choices that people can easily find 2 or 3 things that they would like to eat, not so limiting that only 1 food item sounds doable. The restaurant is trying to be fancy and high-priced but the food choices and slow service makes it a poor choice for anyone to go there. And I would also recommend a pasta choice on the menu. Not everyone is a $60.00 steak lover.

Steaks were so tender and mouth-wateringly delicious. Service was excellent and the view of Upper Yosemite Falls was spectacular. Our reservation was early so it wasn't crowded. We will definitely come back again during our next visit.
