Been there forever. I needed a front transmission mount for an automatic transmission in a 1971 squareback. No one had one. I was told by ISP West (type 3 everything in So-Cal - the worlds hotbed of all things VW) that some auto trans owners were literally trying to vulcanize their broken ones back together. I took a trip up to Klamath river to go canoeing. I stopped at Moe's, - he literally had a 3 foot pile of auto transmissions. I got a nice used mount for ten bucks. All cars run on used parts!

The owner Mo is amazing, the coolest VW collection and shop in Northern California!

Bought my first beetle at the age of 14, now 45. Mo, the owner, is one of the kindest men you'll ever meet. Not to mention, he's got the good stuff! Be fair to him and he will be fair back. Rock on dub fans!

Don't believe reports over the past few years that Garcia's has closed. I was just there last June, and it was open, with the staffing done by a brother or brother-in-law. I got the parts I needed, along with friendliness that I've always seen with this business! It appears true that the hours aren't what they used to be.
