Just went here to donate blankets and gently used shoes. The lady ripped open the bag and rudely said I can’t take this it has dog hair. I don’t think a homeless person would care about dog hair as long as it was a warm blanket. I will never donate to them again.

Went to donate some items and was immediately gestured really rudely by the worker who refused to take any of what I had. Her words exactly "I can't take that" why isn't there a sign on what's allowed to donate?! I give this experience a 1 star.

I was looking for some dresses and a skinny teen with a black mask was very kind and helped me look for a dress.

Will not be returning, one employee thought it was ok to yell at my younger kids. This same employee is always rude. My husband was right there with the kids too. When I talked to the manager she made it seem like it was ok. This is not ok.

Old lady wearing a mask at the register must live a sad life… poor thing cant be content for some reason. Love most of the younger staff though they seem to get how the world works these days. And the way you price things?? always been bad for goodwill but it just continues to suck.. oroville goodwill is a must see! Yuba goodwill deserves to be shut down :(

I just went to donate a lot of really nice boy clothes. The worker was incredibly rude. I understand they are busy, but it’s not an excuse to not be kind. His supervisor came out and she was just as cold and rude. So sad, considering what Goodwill stands for. I was going to do some shopping but I’ll be passing.

Dropped in excited to sew what Halloween Decor Goodwill had out, just as I walked In a gentleman in a mask pushed me into the rack of clothes, as my daughter looked up to see why he did it, she must of had a confused look, the Goodwill worker (female wearing a flannel and Goodwill smock) approached where we were standing (near the Halloween decor) and loudly stated "if you don't like it, you can Fu*king Go Shop Somewhere Else!". I will not be stepping foot in the overpriced thrift shop again, apparently they will Hire disrespectful bodies to sell their donations at a 150% markup. I suggest going elsewhere. At least Thrifty Bargain in Yuba City and Salvation Army in Marysville are friendly and don't swear at potential customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Goodwill needs to really needs to work more with their staff who receives donations. I went today to donate clothes and books and a pair of nice boots. The lady with long dark hair had an ugly attitude from the time I pulled up to donate, stated we need to look through your items… ok I get it. She seen that most of the items was brand new, then seen the boots and said “oh I can’t take those and walked off. This is the second time this situation has happened to me..,moving forward I will donate to a church that will appreciate donations. times are too hard for stores to be nitpicking over items when they are going to resell them at a higher price.Goodwill please do better your company name reflects your supposedly values smh!!!

So let me start off by saying the employees here are fantastic! The majority of them are very friendly, respectful, and polite. So please understand my low rating has nothing to do with the staff or performance. Now, the reason for my low rating is the fact that the mark ups are just ridiculous! This is a donation-based store, secondhand goods being sold at retail prices or very close to. Shirts for $10, shoes for $16+ cups for $3+, toys 8+.. the list goes on and on. I frequent this place almost every day or every other day, and a lot of time the same items are still on the shelves. I would think that would be a clear sign that the majority of customers are not willing to pay the prices That are on display. For a store who's inventory is donated, greed is definitely on display. Someone really does need to visit and price things accordingly.

They're overpriced even some time they priced more than original price, i suggest people to donate to other thrift stores where people with low income can buy.

You can find some good stuff but their items are completely overpriced compared to other thrift shops in the area. The lines also tend to be long.

I had family coming from Mexico and they had never been to a Goodwill store, I explained to them how they work and they wanted to go and check it out. It was my first time at this location (just moved to Yuba City) and I found a great pair of black out curtains for my bedroom and they were like new and beautiful and the best part: only $6.99 per curtain! At stores they average $29.99 to $34.99 so it was a good deal. My daughters wanted all the toys lol.

This review is for drop offs donations only. Now with that being said. In the past goodwill used to take practically anything. Well not any more. I'm assuming that some people took advantage of goodwill relieving them of their trash and junk that should have gone to the dump. Now a days the yuba city goodwill is extremely picky. I have attempted to drop off some pretty good stuff that they didn't want. It's to the point where I don't want to spend the gas to go and just get turned away. Again a waste of time and gas. It's getting to the point where it's easier to just take it to the dump and you know it's gone than to take the chance and get turned away. They really need a way you could send pics of an item you want to donate and get a pre authorization that the item you have they will take. But as of now it's a gamble. For this they are only getting two stars. There needs to be improvements in this area.

My husband had to use the restroom while we were there and they made a big deal of him taken our 14 month in there with him. He took our youngest so I could chase our oldest if I needed to. While he was using the restroom the baby started crying. He had just woken up from a nap before entering the store. They started freaking out saying there is a man in the restroom with a baby in a stroller. Several employees were over by the restroom. Than when we went to leave, I didn't want to stay there anymore, the main person who had the problem thought it was okay what she did. When I confronted her about it, she didn't apologize. Instead her and her other coworkers started laughing. The people there have sick minds. Would they have had same reaction if I was the one taking him into the bathroom and he started crying. I will be going else where from now on.
