I had a receipt, and wanted to exchange a brand new "Crowns by Lids" hat for a smaller size. The store manager refused because I bought the hat discounted from a Lids store, and it was 30 days passed the purchase date. I just wanted a smaller sized hat.

Our company has used lids in the Yuba City mall for the last five years or more to do company hats. When I called to order more hats. This time I was greeted by the store manager, when I asked her to make up some hats for our company as usual her response was, do you have to come pay for them first before we make up any hats I told her that was the first time I had ever had to do that, and that I run a business and it’s inconvenient for me to have to do that and then come back her attitude was more dismissive. Then I would’ve expected from a Professional store manager and irritated that I asked to have them done over the phone rather than in person or I don’t make reviews especially bad ones unless I think the owner of the business or the corporation needs to know your manager turned me away from using lids in the future so since we do every 3 to 6 months, a new round of apparel and hats. This means over the life of the account. her attitude and dismissiveness cost the company tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I mean where else you going to go get a hat. They have the most hats the widest variety and with gas prices it's best just to go straight to lids. The best place there is for team hats hands down.

Was ok... Staff didn't even care we were there 5 staff on floor talking.. didn't have a hat I wanted in my size.. pricy.....

I went in to buy my brother a San Francisco Giants hat. I asked the girl working there Which ones are the old school hats she looked at me with a blank stair and said Everything we have is what you see. I said yes but I'm looking for something old school and she just repeated What we have is what You see. Come on now.. If you don't know anything about the products you're selling you probably shouldn't work there. I picked out a hat that I thought my brother would like , paid for it and she asked me if I wanted a receipt I said yes and she Groaned and said well let me see if I can get one and it took 5 minutes. That's freaking ridiculous! Won't be going back here. I don't like shopping online I prefer to support local stores but if this is what I can expect I guess I need To rethink it.

Worst experience ever! I went into store like I do every year to pick up my NFL 49ers cap and was sold on customizing it with the SF bay bridge and lettering. I purchase it with my original size that I get ( 7 1/4) it took about an hour or so you finish my hat but when I put it on the hat was way too small. Within 5 minutes of picking it up I called sales associate "Ben" to see if they can exchange it because I was told that it would be the same size but it's two sizes smaller that usual because of material they used. The rep "Ben" stated that he called his store manager "Corina" and she said they wouldn't exchange it or work with me on fixing the issue at all. I'm pretty much s*** out of luck come again next year. The rep "Ben" stated that he was just the messenger and his manager said "NO." Lids has now lost an avid 49ers fan that will make sure to let everybody know of this bad experience that was given too me this day.
