I came here once before and have recommended this place to everyone who comes to Joshua tree for a nice experience. But after checking in for a second time my experience has changed. I do not recommend staying here at all. After checking in I checked the bed sheets to find a bunch of thick white stains that were dried all over the bed sheets, and pubic hair under the sheets and when I called the front desk to I request sheets they didn't even seem phased or apologize instead they told me the cleaning lady was making her rounds and told me to go look for her. Absolutely embarrassing. The "fresh" sheets the cleaning lady gave me after I found her smelled moldy and in turn had the worst nights sleep they were so itchy and just felt disgusted the entire nights stay. I won't be returning, and wont be recommending moving forward.

I would have give it 4 stars for based on the location and service but the European suite we got had strands of hair on the bed we had to go to Walmart and get a new bedspread pillow cover and an extra one as a blanket. The sink got clogged when we used it. Luckily the shower and the toilet was clean and functional and luckily we were there just for one night.Rooms: European suite we got had strands of hair on the bed we had to go to Walmart and get a new bedspread pillow cover and an extra one as a blanket. I would've loved to give this hotel five stars. For the price, the rooms were fine, and the pool/hot tub was great after a few days in the national park. Unfortunately my experience with the staff was challenging (and frankly downright baffling) and it left a sour taste in my mouth after an amazing birthday weekend in Joshua Tree.The morning we were due to check out, my father (who was in a hotel down the road a ways) was feeling ill. He was driving in our direction as he had a flight to catch out of San Diego. He needed to stop and use our restroom on his way before a long drive. This was close to checkout time.We had most of our stuff out of the room and in the car, and were relaxing by the pool while we waited to check out.I called and asked for a late checkout, and they refused. This was puzzling (as the entire hotel seemed empty, as was the parking lot), but not a big deal... I can't pretend to know how they operate and shouldn't make assumptions. I wouldn't leave a bad review just for that.Hotel staff were hovering around the room 10 minutes before checkout, just waiting to go in. They were clearly eager to get in there, and unhappy that we were still on the premises, pacing back and forth and making lots of eye contact with me (as if to say "why are you still here? It's time to check out!").Due to my father feeling ill, he was in the room a few minutes past checkout (I believe this was 11am). He told me that he had just tested positive for COVID. I went in and opened the windows to air out the room, and then let the staff know that a covid-positive person had been in the room so that they could mask up / let it air out. The staff (I believe she was one of the owners) was furious, telling me "he did not have permission to use the rest room!", etc etc. I asked her "guests need permission?" and she said yes. She was very upset. She made it clear that our child couldn't come in and use a towel to dry off from the pool and that we needed to leave ASAP.My parents live on the other side of the country and it was a shame to say goodbye like this, being kicked out of a giant empty parking lot of a hotel I had paid to stay in.It was a challenging situation for us to begin with, considering my sick father and travel logistics, and was made even more challenging due to rigid checkout policies and a lack of empathy from the staff. I wouldn't consider staying here again after this experience.

This place was better than expecting for this range, pricepoint, and location. Would recommend as rooms were spacious, quiet, all functional, and some updates have been made (ex. Flooring).Rooms: More spacious than expecting. Some updates have been made.Food & drinks: Did not see any continental breakfast. There was a coffee pot visible in the lobby, but no coffee available. We did get up and were out early (6am). There are options nearby.

This is a great place to stay in Yucca Valley. Only a nine minute drive to Pioneertown! Rooms had everything you'd expect as well: hardwood floors, fridge, microwave, large shower and plenty of closet space. It's very affordable.Nearby activities: Pioneertown is 9min away.

I stay at this motel every time I travel to Joshua Tree. It is quiet, clean and offers morning coffee. Friendly front desk staff. The value is good. The grounds have lovely roses and cacti plantings.

You get exactly what you pay for, but rooms are in need of updating and deep cleaning. Cloth chair was filthy, bed was tilted so it felt like I was rolling off. The pillows are flat and nasty looking. Room felt skeevy. It’s a budget hotel at a budget price. Don’t expect a 5 star experience.

This is a bit of a hidden gem; the rooms are lovely and many of them have a view of a sweet rose garden or the pool. It is less than 10 minutes from Pioneertown and Pappy & Harriet's, making it perfect for a weekend concert getaway.Nearby activities: Pappy & Harriet's (bar with great cocktails and food, plus amazing musical entertainment)

I didn't give a bad review because I didn't stay here. I'm just cracking up and all these reviews and the owner has something to say to every single complaint. You have to accept responsibility sometimes.

First off, the guy at the front desk was weird and creepy. He told us we could come in early to our hotel but when we got there he said no and made us come back in an hour and a half. Barely let us use the restroom and told us they "didn't have one". Once we came back to check in, he was asking way too many personal questions and made me uncomfortable. When we checked into the motel, it looked clean but when we went into the bathroom it smelled like urine. There were stains on the shower curtain, the towels they provided and the bed sheets. The water inside of the motel was murky.

Me and my boyfriend, we went into this hotel, had a themed room and we totally enjoyed! It’s super fun & hot tub is really nice to have after all day hiking. Very friendly owner and also very helpful. We definitely loved the stay, fully recommend and we will be back soon.Thank you!

I literally never leave reviews, but please just save your money or go somewhere else. We stayed in the jungle themed room and we were so excited when we got here. It is decorated so nicely, wall murals are hand painted, and the jacuzzi tub was amazing. HOWEVER, after we got over the initial excitement, we realized the room isn’t very clean. Found several hairs from previous customers in and around the tub. There’s really no good way to clean the room and it doesn’t look like they tried very hard. The “luxurious” bed was lumpy and so difficult to sleep in, pillows were flat, blankets are old, tv too small to watch from the bed. I honestly didn’t feel comfortable after I realized how dirty the room is. This hotel desperately needs an update and a lesson on cleaning. Especially if they’re charging $550 for the weekend! Really should be 1 star, but gave a second one just for the creativity of the interior designer. Won’t be going back.

"Jetted tub" didn't work. Told the concierge, he acted surprised. But, he didn't do anything about it. That is why I am leaving a poor review.Also, two dead cockroaches were in the bathroom when we arrived.Too bad, because the theme idea with a jacuzzi tub is a good idea. Pretty run down place overall including the pool area. Maybe its heyday was in the 1980s.

I booked a room online with Bookings.com for my boyfriend. The man at the front desk refused to let him stay saying, ' We don't allow third party bookings" My mom called this same man later and he agreed to a third party booking for a made up grandmother. I think he refused service to my boyfriend based on his race and appearance (tattoos).{

Lady at the front desk was very kind. I stayed in room 109. Spacious room with a safari theme. Even bamboo on the ceiling. Very clean. The bed creaked a bit, and so did the restroom door. Room could use a bit of updating. But I wasn't expecting the Hilton. It's perfect for a one nights stay after a long day of hiking through Joshua Tree. I would stay again. Pleasant experience
