Knob Hill Ranch was an awesome experience and fabulous time. There were 8 in our group (experienced to never been on a horse) and the staff paired us up with horses that were perfect for each person. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to horses and can tell you these horses are very well cared for, treated incredibly well, and well trained. The ranch hands were amazing and are well educated in the flora and fauna, geology, environment so lots of interesting facts and history. Not to mention they are so much fun! Madeline (the owner) is fabulous and greeted us upon arrival and commencement of our ride. She was so concerned about us and making sure we had a good time. I would highly recommend this outfit to everyone! Spectacular!!!

I can’t imagine a better trail riding experience than the one my friends and I had at Knob Hill Ranch! Madeline and her team of guides and wranglers are so friendly and knowledgeable, the horses are beautiful and extremely gentle and well trained, and to top off a fantastic afternoon on the trail we enjoyed an amazing farm-to-table catered, private meal that would thrill any foodie or cowboy! The dinner event space was cozy and so cute, spacious and comfortable. This experience is a must-do!!
A highlight of our visit, for sure.

Little riding experience (20 years ago) and my partner had never been on a horse. We had a fantastic time. The horses were great, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

We had the greatest experience for the sunset tour! Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable and the horses were extremely impressive and required little guidance from us. The trail was beautiful and part of the park that seems like many tourist don’t visit, so it felt very fresh.
According to Madeline our tour saw an unprecedented amount of rattlesnakes on our tour (most likely due to the nearby fires), and with our expert guides and well trained horses we had no issues with these interactions, and even felt confident towards the end of the tour!
If we ever make it back to Joshua Tree we will definitely be doing this with them again.
10/10 would recommend any day ❤️

We had an amazing experience on the three hour morning trek! Would highly recommend our guides Madeleine & Michael, they were knowledgeable & great fun! We’ll be back in the future for sure 😊

WOW! This is an EXCELLENT guiding service that cares deeply for their horses and riders alike. There is a reason they are #1 in Joshua Tree and it shows 👍👍👍. I will definitely be back and have already recommended this wonderful company. The guides are nice, informative and interesting. The trails and vistas are absolutely breathtaking.

The ride was great, horses were very sweet & staff was top notch. The ranch organized a lovely dinner after our sunset ride-delicious food and we all thoroughly enjoyed the desert ambiance on the patio. Perfect!! A++

I had a fantastic 2 hour ride through Joshua Tree.
So beautiful and peaceful. Horseback was great way to experience parts of Joshua tree. I highly recommend.
Mattie was my guide and she was great.
Levi was the horse I rode and he was a gentle soul and a pleasure to ride.
Thank you Knob Hill Ranch for a great adventure.

An absolutely delightful ride led by Shannon and her faithful horse Leroy. The climb was steady and never too challenging, and the views were magnificent. Shannon checked our (that be Pancho and me) progress and safety constantly. Highly recommend.

Great experience! The horses were really well taken care of and friendly. The trail into joshua tree was so breathtaking. The three hour ride is the perfect length of challenging and enjoyable. Wranglers were friendly and helpful on the ride. My hat flew off and my guide helped go all the way back to grab it. Def recommend.

Top notch! Easy to find, close to some great trails. Their team was very friendly, accommodating and flexible. This was a great way to spend the afternoon. Very considerate of all needs and skill levels.

My husband and I had a great experience at Knob Hill Ranch. Booking was very easy and the team was very communicative. Everyone was extremely kind! Greatly enjoyed a 2 hour morning ride through the park. Meghann was a great wrangler and we enjoyed her knowledge about the park and the horses.
We are novice riders and felt comfortable the entire time.
You can tell that proper care for the horses is a priority.

This was such a fun experience for my bachelorette trip! The guides were personable and we felt so safe. They knew so much about the National Park and, of course, about the horses. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a horseback experience in Joshua Tree

We had an excellent ride through Joshua Tree today with Meghann! I have some riding experience, and have ridden through a half-dozen national parks this year. I have to say, this is the nicest, cleanest facility, with the best/healthiest horses and the most comfortable tack I've experienced! From the first call with Madelyn to schedule the ride, to meeting Meghann and Shannon, to a simply beautiful ride on quality horses - I can't say enough about this stable!
We did the 3 hour ride and it was worth every penny! A gorgeous loop through the northwest part of the park! For those without horse experience, the horses were well-trained and quiet. For those WITH horse experience - this was like riding an experienced lesson horse, not just a dull trail horse! I just can't express how much we enjoyed the ride and our guide! I would definitely do this again. If we come back! Thank you!

This was my first time horseback riding and it was such a nice experience. The horses are sweet and easy to ride. Our guides were great and the views are amazing. Definitely recommend
