The woman in the office flat out refused to rent the truck my wife had reserved the day before. She was rude to my wife for no reason. Screw that place, rent someplace else.

Where do I start? It says 18.50 a day on the website and they charge mileage also. Well I rented a truck for 4 hours 29 palms and back, how am I charged 129.00? I should have known when the owner is this ghetto tweaker looking chick (I'm not saying she is a tweaker just very tweakerish.) She was completely rude when I tried to ask why I was getting charged so much and it says 18.00 a day, she was very condescending acting like I should know all these things that are in the fine print, basically saying that's not what will be charged to my card they will add everything up and whatever isn't charged will be refunded or something like that. So when I saw the charge is $129 I tried to call and ask her to explain it to me. Also she the milage that was charged was crazy it was over 100 miles they charged meet! From that site to 29 palms and back, when I asked why I was charged for all those extra miles she was all "were they air miles or ground miles" lmao are you kidding me? Your really reaching then said " people think its closer than it really is" Let me tell you I am not rude to customer service Representatives I appreciate their help in these times, anytime I come acrossed a grumpy salesperson or customer service person I try to make them smile and crack jokes this lady seemed like she wanted a confrontation from the start, on the phone she spoke over me and said I'm not trying to argue however she continue to argue with me when I literally was asking her to just explain how it came to that price asked for her manager like a normal Karen LOL and she said she is the owner which made me so sad I can't imagine how many people she has ripped off and has been rude to. I'm not the type of person that flips out easily but when someone is blatantly rude and I'm a paying customer on top of that it's very annoying. Just avoid this page we actually have options.

Above and beyond customer service at this location! Move some things from San Diego to Yucca Valley and chose one way with drop off at this neighborhood Uhaul location. The woman who helped me was incredibly nice and quick (often it can take a while at most uhauls). I definitely recommend choosing this location for your high desert uhaul needs. Added bonus is you will be supporting the nieghborhood branch instead of a corporate.

My experience was much more different than everyone else's. The young lady working the desk was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I had no issues. The truck I got was a typical U-Haul truck. And the air conditioner was cold. Doesn't get much better than that.

Cons: Truck smelled hot and tire pressure monitoring system kept going off. Sounded like there was "boiling and bubbling" while I was driving it. I had to keep stopping to check everything and let it rest to make sure I made it back to the store. Turned a 4 hr drive into a 6.5 hr drive. Slipped my mind to mention it, I was exhausted from the trip. when I tried to call back I got an answering machine that "wasn't set up for voicemails"-recording. Also as a side note. The extra mileage charge was $165 (of course because it was a long trip) the issue was that i had a declined charge for $52 and nobody can tell me why and has no idea where it came from? Pros: people were very friendly and gave me a great rate on milage because I was driving so far and they wanted the truck to come back to the store (what I was told) Overall I was charged $374 for a 600 mile trip so even with slight anxiety it was a great deal. I probably won't be going through them again though. Not sure if I trust the equipment.

If you can avoid using this place. We made a reservation for a trail to drive back down to menifee, turn in the trail there. We drive up the the shop and was told we would have to return it back to Yucca Valley. He was no help on finding a new one or solving the proble. We ended up getting help from a uhaul in morongo. This place sucks. Good luck with them.

I made a reservation for a uhaul and didn't notice on the website you have to put down $100 deposit if you don't have a card with you, so we go put money in my Mastercard at Walmart and then go back and they said they can't take a prepaid card, so we did that for nothing and wasted $4 to load the money. I ended up having to get my mother come down and use her card and information and just give her cash since I couldn't withdraw the money from my Mastercard without another fee. The service is also pretty slow even if you do have a reservation you have to wait for everyone that's in line in front of you to go first, which takes about 15 minutes each person. They do have this option to drop off the uhaul, take pictures, and leave the key in a drop box on their website that you can use even when the office is closed so you can avoid getting a fee for a 2nd day, so that's cool. I just recommend going as early as possible to avoid the line.
