We had an emergency where my cat had digested the plant lily which is extremely toxic and fatal. They all had zero knowledge about toxic plants and their effects on cats and dogs as I heard them all in the background asking each other. Absolutely clueless. We ended up having to drive her two hours away to someone who could actually help. She has been placed on an iv drop for the past two days, but her kidneys seem to be doing fine. Seriously, pick up a book!
