These guys are lifesavers! I was driving to the dunes last summer when half the lights on my dash came on and my car began making an awful noise every time I pressed the gas. While the other auto shops said it would be days before they could help me, the good people here made time for me since I was an out of towner with nowhere to stay. Two hours and less than $100 later, I was on the road again. Six days and 1,300 miles later, I made it back to Alabama. No issues since my visit. Thank you both so much!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent auto shop. Fred is ASE Certified and has experience working in the factories of some of the world's best carmakers. I drive BMWs, so I know a good mechanic when I find one. They will always take great care of you here and go out of their way to help their customers. Very fair prices and wonderful service. My family will always go back here for all their car maintenance needs.

I run a Dealership in the Springs and broke an axle uphill off the highway and was recommended Trade wheels by the Tow driver from Southside Towing in Alamosa. Lonnie kept me informed of the essential as well as non essential things my truck needed to get home. Work was done quickly and at a reasonable price despite the blizzard that came through. My highest recommendation from a 20 year car guy...Thank you Lonnie and Fred.

My boyfriend and I were driving cross-country through Alamosa from Vermont when our '89 F250 Lariat had serious problems. Fred was the only mechanic who would see us that day and he spent so much time helping us out. He spent the next couple of days helping us sort out our transmission problems and I can honestly say we would never have made it to Vancouver without his expertise and generosity! Thank you Fred!

We had van trouble on a Friday afternoon headed out to a campsite. Fred took a look, identified the problem, ordered a part, and had us back on the road by 11 on Saturday. Fred does great work and charged a reasonable price.....and helped out a couple of campers big time! Fred is the best!!!!

I recently had the misfortune of breaking down in the middle of nowhere in Colorado. My roadside assistance insisted that I choose a repair shop in Alamosa, CO to be towed to and offered me 2 choices. Not knowing any difference, I choose the first option which happened to be Trade Wheels. As far as I know, there might be other good repair shops in Alamosa, but I am grateful that I lucked out by choosing Trade Wheels. Fred the owner, and his wife, were nothing but nice and professional. Fred's staff did a great job on a big repair job and I am completely satisfied. In my opinion, you can't go wrong by choosing Trade Wheels.

They charged me $50 for a "diagnostic" fee, and based on just the noise it made they told me I needed a new transmission. I took the car to a different place and they put in a quart of transmission fluid for 6$, and no more noise. It was just low on fluid. The owner did return the fee, but he was angry and rude about it.

Went to Hooper Colorado to swim and meet relatives and my clutch died in the Walgreens parking lot at 8:45 pm on Friday night in the dead of winter. Called everyone the following day to see who might be able to rescue me and Fred and his crew came through with flying colors fixing everything and less expensive than they originally quoted. Honest and integrity still exist today at this shop. The accent they speak is hard to grasp but with that honesty I would have understood sign language. Highly recommend if you ever needing repair on a vehicle.
