TLDR: 110% recommend this place over any others nearby. Comfy, rustic, charming, cozy.We stayed for two nights. The house is quite a big one (3 floors!) with around 6 or so rooms on each of the upper 2. There’s a bathroom on every floor, although showers are only on the 2nd. Yes, they’re shared, but this wasn’t a problem at all for us on our stay. Our room (on the third) was cozy and well appointed with decorations and furnishings. There was also an entertaining and informational binder waiting for us on the bed. Loved the little humorous notes scattered around the house, like the peanut dispenser at the front desk/office.Bill and Juanita - props to the both of ya. Friendly, welcoming, sweet. Awesome in every way. And Reba, the house dog, is extremely cute. Do pet her. Cookies, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa were available at all times in the kitchen/dining area. Speaking of the kitchen, there was a separate guest kitchen with a shared fridge, microwave, water, and some other utensils, helpful for when we wanted a stay-in dinner. Breakfast was amazing. We only had it once (first morning we were on a time crunch and had to grab prepackaged breakfast), but it had many plates of various different foods (omelet and peach cobbler are must tries) and was all homemade. Absolutely delicious.Check out the horses across the street in your spare time. You could even get a chance to feed them. Or, lounge on a comfy sofa in the living room with a book from the collection. There’s even board games and puzzles.Overall, must recommend. Felt extremely welcome, safe, and comfortable throughout my stay. Come here ASAP!

Super nice breakfast. We felt welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of the B&B owners. All clean and very nice. We would love to come back one day. Situated very nice and in an ok driving distance from Estes Park, Boulder and Nederland. The nature is just fantastic and so is the dark sky at night.

Charmingly rustic? and well maintained. Breakfast was different each Morning …and good! Less than 25 minutes to entrance to Rocky Mountain NP. Host and hostess available and knowledgeable. We were extremely happy our two nights there. No tv, but Wi-Fi, no a/c open the window? 3 generations all happy!

5 star experience in a rustic lodge. Yes, the floors are creaky and the bathrooms are pretty small but that's all part of the experience. Beautiful log interior; meeting room available. Grab a freshly baked cookie when you check in! Be on time to family style breakfasts with something to please everyone. It's not just a good home-cooked meal, but a great time to get acquainted with the hosts/owners, Bill and Juanita. They have great stories to share! Give an ear-scratching to much loved and well behaved Reba the Lodge Dog and play tug-of-war with her rope. Follow Juanita out to feed the horses for a fun experience and interesting stories. Catch Bill in a quiet moment for some great horse tales too. Relax and watch a movie in the evening, enjoy a good puzzle or book, or soak in the scenery and mountain air in the back yard or on the balcony while watching hummingbird antics. Our actual home may be across the plains, but Bill and Juanita make us feel at home here. This is a great location just a short distance from the more tourist-filled Estes Park, with easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park locations. (Pics from Spring Break 2022 visit)

We stayed two nights here as part of a hiking trip organized by Footpaths of the World. It was a unique and positive experience thanks to the hospitality and cooking abilities of Juanita and her husband. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different from a traditional lodge/hotel stay.

We usually try to stay at large name brand hotels, but so glad we ventured out of our normal comfort zone. The rooms were very clean, the host and hostess went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied, and the breakfast was wonderful. We highly suggest this place - you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful experience! My husband, our friend and I sat for hours talking in the great room, enjoying freshly baked cookies from the hosts, coffee and hot chocolate. It was warm, cozy and completely relaxing. We felt so welcome. Kudos to Bill and Juanita for maintaining such a wonderful lodge. We are hoping to return one day with more friends and family.

Juanita and Bill have really done an amazing job with this place. Such a splendid atmosphere. There's so much rustic style that you really feel like you've taken a step back in time. From the creaking floorboards to the low stairway to get upstairs (watch your head if you're tall) this place is full of charm. We we're only able to enjoy one breakfast at the table, but it was delicious! The next morning we left early before breakfast but they were kind enough to pack us a sack breakfast for our way out the door. They know the area like the back of their hand and give lots of good advice for trails to hike. Count yourself as a lucky guest if you get to pick from the water bottle bag (inside joke).

The accommodations are terrific! It is a rustic lodge built in the 1930s, but it has both inside bathrooms, showers in some rooms, tubs in others, and electricity in every room. The lodge has lots of public areas, including a large dining area for breakfast. The owners, Bill and Juanita, cook a different breakfast everyday! There is much variety, including juices, eggs, cobblers, potatoes, etc., etc. Bill helped me move into our room, as I had a lot of luggage. The lodge is on old highway 7, so traffic noise is minimal. There are rules about quiet times, but these are for the benefit of all guests. It is only 15 miles from Estes Park in a very, very small town. I highly recommend this lodge if you are looking for rustic and not Sheraton-type accommodations.

Our room was comfortable and charming! The breakfast, out of this world yummy! I will certainly stay again and again! I highly recommend!

My husband and I hiked 50 miles last August in honor and memory of my twin sister and my 50th birthday. Allenspark Lodge was by far our favorite stay. It's really a magical gem, and Juanita let us feed her horses. Will definitely be back when we head that way. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

Cute RUSTIC place with a great setting. Be ready for creaking floors and rustic bathrooms, even if you have your own private bath. RULES are important. In by midnight, no group gatherings in your room or in common areas after 10 and no access to the beautiful outdoor porch after dusk. You also MUST be in your seat at 9:00 am sharp for breakfast. Think “staying at Grandmama’s “. Enjoy.

We have stayed all around the world - fancy hotels to off grid lodging - yet we have never encountered something as loving and welcoming as Allenspark Lodge. Bill and Juanita made our visit unforgettable. We'd traveled to CO and stayed at five different places, yet in the end, only one was the best. "If I come back, this is where I want to stay," my son said.If you're looking for an original, warm, welcoming, loving, hospitable and charming stay, then Bill and Juanita's Allenspark Lodge is your place.
